Reading this story, something just struck me:

When a "Christian" is caught with bombs/explosive devices, he's a militant, criminal, vandal, etc.

But when a Muslim is caught with exact same items, he's called a "terrorist".

Then I ask myself- is one's religion the decider of such classification or is it supposed to be a function of the offence committed??

You misunderstand me. Does Isaac Newton's Law of Gravitation disprove anything in the bible? Does Charles Babbage's invention of the computer contradict anything in the bible? I didn't say they didn't focus on religion. But I said there weren't direct conflicts. The people who discovered things that contradicted their beliefs, had doubts about religion.
