OgundeleT: nothing like grand patron in atheism, it is just disbelief in any deity. whether you are good, bad, womanise, steal, rob. once you don't belief any deity then you are atheist. but almost 99% of theist i av met on nairaland(you inclusive) dont know what atheism mean To theists, especially Christians, it is always a competition. They compete among themselves, hence 33,000 denominations, and you can either be for or against. The only time Christians unite is against atheists. Since atheists do not believe in their god, we are most definitely in the opposition. They don't care about any other detail |

OLUJOSHINS:
I've had experience's where God answered my prayers at the speed of light. As in, instantaneous, breathtaking, miraculous replies.
so pls my broda, what excuse can Ur great mind come up with to counter my experience?
I really look forward to seeing U create an exceedingly funny mathematical/scientific conclusion Me, wey I be olodo? Nothing mathematical and scientific o. Since your own god answers prayers at the speed of light, let us meet at Igbobi and you can pray for an amputated limb to grow back. In fact, we do not need to go that far as there are two men in my hood who had their legs cut off due to different accidents. You can come and pray so that they will grow back. I live in Likosi, Ogun state. Name the time and I will send you directions to my hood. And we can capture it on video so the whole world can see |

Walking down memory lane......
Back then in B3up, I remember it was angle 7.
I was woken up by the urge to pee.
It must have been around 12-01 am but I did not bother to check the time.
It was pitch dark. No light. Everyone was asleep
The toilet is at the end of the hall, close to Papa's room.
After hesitating for a while, I looked outside, it was also dark and there was no moonlight and saw someone, dressed in all white, walking outside on the corridor. I watched from my bed as he walked down the corridor and came into the hostel from angle 1.
I ducked. It seemed he slowed down. And he also seemed to be floating.
I suddenly remember Madam Kos Kos. Maybe this is her boyfriend.
He began walking floating down the corridor. I covered my head with my blanket and pretended to be asleep.
"Is he getting close?" "Is it a ghost?"
After a while, I dare to peep and see the ghost thing like man floating out of the hostel.
And I still need to pee.
So, I get up and walk to the toilet, ease myself and go back to bed.

Christianity Etc › Re: Things Humanity Could Do Better Without Religion by hahn(m): 6:05pm On Aug 17, 2016 |
delishpot: Well, humans would always look for that missing link. That "why am I here" when shit hits the fan. That is what draws us to faith and beliefs. Even before the advent of Christianity and Islam, peoe have always believed that there was life after death. They always held onto that hope. They always believed they had to bebin good standing with the gods so that their lives and lands would prosper. From the Egyptians, to incas to Aztec to Vikings etc. Until man finds out what makes him tick, what lays after death he would always stumble upon religion. Cost the greedy ones will use the beliefs of the people to hold them hostage. I do not think humanity will ever outgrow religion. As long as miracles happen. I am a believer but I would NEVER harm anyone for my faith. Never. That is exactly why people believe. It doesn't have to be real |

plaetton: Please sell this idea to the government. Now that bvn is in place and we see the benefits, all individuals and corporate bodies should also be mandated to have TIN in the same manner that BVN was computerized and administered. The individual's or corporate TIN should be linked to their BVN. Then a fully usery-friendly website should be opened where individuals and corporate bodies can log in with their TIN , do a self-tax assessment, pay directly from their Bank Accounts( Via BVN), or schedule for payments before the end of the tax year.
This would make it not only easy and cheap for government at levels to collect taxes, but also help in citizens be tax compliant, as well making it very easy tax audits, as the BVN would make it easy to assess an individual's or corporate body's income. Gbam! Excellent! But then, in a country where citizens provide their own electricity, water, roads and benefit nothing from the government, I still seem unable to see any reason to pay income tax Someone should remind this government about that National Identity card though. I did mine in 2013 and it still isn't ready. It is really embarrassing |

Unfortunately, even Christians themselves cannot come to a consensus on a lot of things in the bible. They are a really confused bunch. Imagine one religion having 33,000 denominations. ANd most hate each other with a passion. One example is RCCG members and JW. If they can finally come to a consensus on the OT it would be great. But it would help the case of the Christians more if they could just remove the OT entirely from the bible. Unfortunately, the prophecy of a "messiah" was in the OT. They are officially fvcked |

Is that not the same God Dog you used to threaten a few minutes ago?
You know how many threats Nairaland atheists get in PMs and posts?
Threats get flown around by you guys, its very hilarious
I have "holy spirit" with me bro
I drink it and it and enjoy it
Much more powerful than the one you're threatening with, at least the bottle that contains that spirit can be used to crack your head and stab you to death
You're better off threatening with that "holy spirit" I have rather than that one you've got
Or should we meet and we test both "holy spirit" on each other? Don't worry, if we do you'll be the first to use yours, you'll call him for 30min, all I will need is 5 seconds, let's see which one is more powerful Abeg, make una record am |
