You just embellished reiterations that were previously made . Didn't whet my interest at all . You can have what ever opinions about me , it is your prerogative as a human being .

I wonder why you atheists cringe at facts that disabuse you of your ignorance in history . If not for we Christians , JackBizzle and Hahn wouldn't have known about the Barbary Slave Trade was orchestrated by Africans , or that the Portuguese first brought Christianity to Nigeria or the the Britons being Christians for close to 2,000 years since 37AD .
If not for you Christians, Africans wouldn't have been shipped as slaves. The first slave ship to ever land on African soil was named JESUS.

The Spanish inquisition, crusades, burning of wizards and witches in ancient Europe are all products of Christianity. What do you have to say about these achievements?

Bro enough of this rigmarole and provide names for the topic .

Here are Christians who contributed to science and technology within that period

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christians_in_science_and_technology

These are people who made prominent achievements and these are the people whom you excoriate and mock . Its the second page of comment and you have not mentioned just 1 atheist who made any reasonable contribution .

Christians laid the foundation of modern science and it was done in the medevial age . The little contribution atheist scientists have made can never be compared to what Christians did and are doing .

Enough of these dumb claims you people make . Full of lies and deceit angry

But I have a solution ...
Okay, you win. Yay! grin

Does this nonsense look familiar : " Christianity hindered development " "Religion stops us from thinking" "Christians within the medieval age stopped knowledge from increasing "

That's why I want to know what atheism or atheists achieved during that time .
Atheists dare not voice their opinions in public in order to resist being hanged by "peaceful" Christians. So it is safe to say that they all kept their personal opinions to themselves.

Europe experienced "the dark age" under the jurisdiction of the church. Why is that? Why wasn't there a record of economic growth during the age that was ruled with the bible?

You make it sound like the medieval age was a period of great scientific discovery or any profound leap in the history of mankind.

Dark Ages is an imprecise term of historical periodization which was once used to refer to the Middle Ages but is latterly most commonly used in relation to the early Mediaeval period: ie. the centuries following the collapse of the Western Roman Empire.

The medieval era was very religious on its own right. Even if there were irreligious scientists or men who have achieved great accomplishments, they would have had to keep it hidden to avoid being killed by the church.

The point of your thread is simple, and I agree, more people who believe believed in a god achieved a lot and still do. That doesn't mean their god is real.

Alexander the Great, was a follower of the Greek polytheistic religion, also called, Hellenism. They worshipped a hierarchy of deities, with Zeus being the king of the gods. By the age of thirty he had created one of the largest empires of the ancient world, stretching from Greece to northwestern India. Does that mean that Zeus is real?

Egypt is the birth of civilization and at the time they worshiped Horus, Osiris etc. Does that mean their gods are real?

Genghis Khan, the Mongolian emperor, was the founder and Great Khan (Emperor) of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his death. Genghis Khan was a tengrist. So? How does this imply that god is real or that any god is responsible for his success?

There are many great Muslim scholars and many great scientists as well. The Islamic Golden Age, spanning the 8th to the 15th Centuries, saw many great advances in science, as Islamic scholars gathered knowledge from across the known world and added their own findings. Would you then agree that Allah is the greatest and that Mohammed is Allah's prophet?

Nigu please undecided

The same egyptians that took the israelite captive? grin u are funny.
Well, there is no record of Israelis being held captive by Egyptians aside from the bible. And you know that is not a reliable source of information.

There are many places in the bible that support slavery.

Exodus 21English Standard Version (ESV)

Laws About Slaves
21 “Now these are the rules that you shall set before them. 2 When you buy a Hebrew slave,[a] he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing. 3 If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4 If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out alone. 5 But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’ 6 then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall bore his ear through with an awl, and he shall be his slave forever.

7 “When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. 8 If she does not please her master, who has designated her[b] for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has broken faith with her. 9 If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter. 10 If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights. 11 And if he does not do these three things for her, she shall go out for nothing, without payment of money.

12 “Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death. 13 But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee. 14 But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

15 “Whoever strikes his father or his mother shall be put to death.

16 “Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death.

17 “Whoever curses[c] his father or his mother shall be put to death.

18 “When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist and the man does not die but takes to his bed, 19 then if the man rises again and walks outdoors with his staff, he who struck him shall be clear; only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall have him thoroughly healed.

20 “When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. 21 But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money.

22 “When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman's husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 But if there is harm,[d] then you shall pay life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

26 “When a man strikes the eye of his slave, male or female, and destroys it, he shall let the slave go free because of his eye. 27 If he knocks out the tooth of his slave, male or female, he shall let the slave go free because of his tooth.

28 “When an ox gores a man or a woman to death, the ox shall be stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten, but the owner of the ox shall not be liable. 29 But if the ox has been accustomed to gore in the past, and its owner has been warned but has not kept it in, and it kills a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death. 30 If a ransom is imposed on him, then he shall give for the redemption of his life whatever is imposed on him. 31 If it gores a man's son or daughter, he shall be dealt with according to this same rule. 32 If the ox gores a slave, male or female, the owner shall give to their master thirty shekels[e] of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.

If there is a "God" then it is an epic failure. Maybe that is why it is hiding in shame tongue

No one can be as peaceful as Jesus. Don't forget his teachings, " love your neighbor as yourself" and also" pray for your enemies and those who persecute you" not many can pray for their enemies or those hurting them.
Ancient civilizations had men who were more noble than the Jesus character is portrayed.

It's all a pipe dream. Comfortable but still a dream

Lol. There are lots of people who were kind and honest and even better than Jesus, if he ever actually existed, and many more today.
