Can you make a thread on how to increase your download speed?
I use IDM for downloads and it sure downloads faster than regular browsers, but the OP might have better options
Phones / Re: The Dangers Of Fast Charge by Hakeem12(m): 6:21pm On Apr 29, 2021
I'm not a fan of fast charging. I never used my note follow come charger to charge it. I used the 10 Watts that came with my hot 6x instead. From 2019 to 2021, I just gave it out this month to my sister. Battery health was still at 89%. My battery never went below 20% and I rarely charged it to 100%, since I have two powerbank.

Samsung has an option to turn off fast charging and I did immediately I got the A52. My cousin thinks I'm weird for doing so but I don't care, I'd rather get an additional powerbank. Regular tops ups are just better than waiting to drain your battery and charging it full back.

I bought Redmi note 10 6gb/128gb. Initially, I bought the 4gb ram one but I discovered that 4gb phones are not good for gaming like they used too. So please I need recommendations for some good heavy games. I currently have pubg, call of duty, genshin impact, fortnite
How well is the fortnite running?

Even my mi band 5 no dey near water sef, na come phone. Because of why?

Even during the Mi 11 Ultra lsunch, baba talk say IP68 is not foolproof because small jinks and shakes during Processing and packaging may open microscopic holes for water to seep through.

So we should think of IP68 more as an insurance rather than a bragging tool. It's safe but there's always that 1 out of 1000 that has a small chink in it's armour.

That's a risk I'm not willing to take.

Even some iPhone users when buy tear rubber enter pool with Phone don experience water damage. So it's not a Xiaomi thing. Be wise people.
when I bought my phone, the sales rep was like "chief, you fit carry your phone enter anything, swimming pool, snap, nothing do you." I told him it's only useful in freshwater and that swimming pool water would damage it. Besides my phone is going nowhere near water

Well fast charging isn't healthy for batteries but it's not for the reason Apple wants you to think about.

Apple uses li-ion batteries while everyone is upgrading to Li-po batteries. Samsung uses li-ion as well.

Li-ion batteries don't play very well with higher voltages. Li-ion batteries are also cheaper and discharge faster as well.

Li-ion Batteries lose their capacity faster also. This is a serious problem for apple as they use small capacity batteries.

So putting in fast charge and using up half of a battery's charge cycles in year will turn a 3500mAh iphone battery to 2,500 or less.

This is why.
i think Samsung uses li-po batteries now.

Nice one. Samsung has to be the most sting company ever, packing a 15 Watts charger with a phone that supports 25 Watts.

The phone is scarce currently even outside the country. Even on AE the sellers who have has hiked up the price.

Chipset scarcity is affecting OEMs. Even the RN10s that was announced haven't been made available because of this issue.
even the automobile industry is not spared, if anyone sees a deal today, just go for it, there's is no phone on ground grin

Helio A25 for the next four years. They even shamelessly copied S21 design. 720p on a 6.53" device, disgusting!!! Not to mention generic sensors that would fade out in a few months

gremp:
There has been reports of screen issues on the Redmi Note 10 series especially the pro version, some of the notable issues are flickering while the refresh rate is set to 120hz and color shifts.

There has been some minor tricks suggested by some people which helped a little bit or not at all for those experiencing those issues.

It's not been officially confirmed if those issues are caused by a bad batch of screens which will make it an hardware issue or a software issue.

There's been some evidence of the Refresh Rate being changed erratically when set to 120hz mode which might be due to the MIUI aggressive battery saving.

So it's recommended to wait it out and see if the next MIUI update for the Redmi Note 10 series will fix those issues before buying.
