If you check the benchmarks of both you'd be shocked at the gap the i5 gave the i7 though it shouldn't be surprising since it's ages newer.
Another reason is the specs the laptop itself has. SSD with an option to expand through HDD. It's too good to let i7 big name pass you by.

The processors are three generations apart, the i5 being the latest one. The i5 has also has a faster ram speed so the 8gb to 12gb is negligible. Then the storage, SSD is way faster than HDD, wouldn't touch a laptop with HDD these days. Faster loading times is noticeable on SSD, so real life performance is miles apart.

Yeah, but you could say that cos you understand better, my guy was looking at numbers. I'd have taken time to break it down to him, but he was laughing so hard, I felt like punching him. So I just shrugged and let him buy it, it's his money in the end. He doesn't know PC processors are even more complicated. There's generations to compare, there's variants, U, K, H and so on. Even I don't know that much about AMD processors yet.

I sell computers and it gets worse. One question customers always ask is " what is the speed". They'll tell you that your 10th generation core i5 laptop @1.10GHz is slow and that an old school core 2 duo laptop clocked at 3.0GHz would be faster.

A seller showed a friend of mine two laptops, one was a 5th gen core i7, U variant with 1tb HDD and 12gb of RAM, the other was an 8th gen core i5, also U variant, with 256gb SSD with extra space for HDD and 8gb ram. Both were going for 175k, I told him the i5 was better, and he looked at me and said; "guy, you well so, you no see the numbers?". He burst into laughter and bought the i7. I wondered why he needed my opinion in the first place.

So this time last month, out of curiosity, I left a link to one of my YouTube on a thread on the home page. I have seen people do it, so I thought, why not.

I logged in later that evening only to see that I was banned for one month! My offense? Spam. 1 month ban for spam? It was outrageous! I messaged the supermods for three days straight and no one replied me.

It would have been easy to create an alternate account to terrorize them but that is childish. There's always life outside Nairaland.

I moved on and went to Medium. I spent the last month there and I currently have 89 subs. If I get to 100, I'll get monetized.

I also focused on my Facebook and Telegram pages. I have 500+ likes/follows on Facebook and 153 on Telegram. The Gallery thread Telegram chapter is also thriving. 170+ people there. One big happy family.

Coming back to Nairaland and I see that I have been mentioned about 28 times and I was powerless to contribute. Thanks to the owners of this place.

180 people currently follow me on this platform. I counted this morning just before my ban expired. I have put out so much content in the last month that may have been of help to many people.

I have also missed the conversation and the banter that goes on here between Skywalker240, sunshineV, mrbones2, hakeem4, hakeem12, drdjay, mohbola, ajilenu, edoairways, chatinent and too many others.

It's good to be back amongst the phone section family. Despite our plenty quarrels, I love you all. My stand remains the same tho, I'll give credit where due and strongly criticize where necessary.

The gameplay style. Personally, I like Wengerball, a type of possession based style favoured by Daddy Wenger of Arsenal.

Play simple passes out from the D to the center circle. Play it out to the central striker who can hold the ball up and return it back to an attacking midfielder. The full backs should have come up to overlap, so na to ping the ball out wide for them.

My full backs are all capable of crossing, TAA and Davies (R & L). Na for them to deliver an inswinger or to fake a cross and pass it back into the center.

I dunno if you are getting the idea.

Like PES gives you freedom to practice these play styles you see on TV and pull them off with a good degree of realism.

FIFA play style seems to linear and restrictive. If you no sabi skill moves and tiki-taka, e go hard you play am.

why I prefer iOS to android

1) integration of software and hardware : apple produces both the software and hardware and this gives iOS an advantage over android in terms of software and hardware synchronisation

2) it is very easy to operate: You might not agree with this because you are a computer person, but in engineering the simpler the designer the better. if it is easier for me to use the iOS, then what is so special in me using an operating system that would be so complex like android?

Not really, IOS is optimized to work perfectly with a few devices apple makes, now consider android that is dropped into a sea of smartphones, tablets and other products. So it's up to OEMs to optimize the software for hardware, and so far so good, most of them are doing a poor job of it.

If they born apple well, it should go open source like android, only then can we make a proper comparison, its closed ecosystem makes for a tighter integration, which is why iPhones don't need super powerful specs to match high end android phones.

Most of iPhone owners I know love their OS simplicity, and it is arguably one of the things IOS does better than android. I have seen people who have never used a smartphone figure out the basics in not more than twenty minutes. My kid sis found MIUI on RN10pro somewhat complicated and got the hang of iphone X faster. The user experience is intuitive enough that there is almost no learning curve. Android sings a different song, and I prefer it for that, there's always something to discover, a new trick, something to customize, etc.

Android now leads the way in innovations, hole punch screen, under screen cameras. Wireless charging, 4g Lte, 5G, NFC, oled displays etc, android beat iPhone to it.

USB C is universal, android phones largely rely on USB-C ports for charging and data transfer these days, which is super convenient if you're one of those people who really likes to pack light and carry only one cable. Whereas Apple's Lightning cable is a relic of the days when every tech company felt compelled to develop its own proprietary connector, USB-C represents the ideal single-port solution the industry is working toward. It also opens doors to faster charging technologies.

In my opinion, owning an iPhone is just a simpler and more convenient experience, there's less to think about. Android is more challenging , yet it's simultaneously more freeing, because it offers more choice — choice of how much you want to spend, choice of hardware and software features, and choice in how you organize and personalize your experience. If you're extremely particular about the technology you use, you might find Android more liberating...dare I say, fun. Though you'll also likely lament the relative lack of high-quality apps and accessories.
