The phone has never been rooted...thanks for the reply anyway av successfully upgraded to nougat.
The issue was that I couldn't upgrade to the tcard v45 nougat version directly from marshmallow. The only option was to upgrade to the v33 nougat version using sp flash tools. After i successfully upgraded to v33 version I was then able to use the tcard v45 nougat update.

oh okay. Though I heard nougat on hot 4 came with some issues like the Dirac stuff and constant hanging, true?
