jerseyboy: You're right about the science of both religions. But here is the differences the stories of the old testaments are allegorical to teach morality to a tribe trying to survive harsh desert conditions while surrounded by hostile neighbors. The old testament is not the word of God but the men who wrote it were inspired by Him.
Christianity is the imitation of Christ. Pure and simple. And in that you will find no errors. if men who wrote it were inspired by him and god is the all wise and Allah is al-Hakeem ( Allah the wise one ) . How come he inspired them to write rubbish in their holy book? |

I asked questions like "if Adam and Eve were the first set of people on earth, how come we have negroes, Caucasians, Mongoloids and all that......I was told to just have faith and believe......after that day, I stopped seeing Christianity the way it is. I don't know about Islam though.
I am not an atheist but I am beginning to question the word " Religion", Since we have over 1000 ways which the earth came to be Islam and Christianity are both jokes |

chillychill: Wow! So because ur dad couldn't and ur questions u decided to turn it off too.. Is ur dad d only one on earth dat could and ur "questions",are ur "questions" dat much dat d holy book couldn't answer? Is ur dad only d one in ur family? Is ur mum d only one u can turn to for answers? Don't u av friends dat aren't atheist, Dat blives dere is God n he sent prophets to guide us all.. Now answer dose questions above ull now no u don't Av any excuse. I hope ull change n ill b happy if u can I love ur name though dats y u should try and ask dose "questions" from scholars n believe me dey re always ready to answer no matter how plenty it is.
The problem of most of us is our self love and stubbornness,if u aren't stubborn and ure willing to learn ur questions will be answered at ease in case you don’t know. I attend a Christian school, I argue with most of my friends who are theist and they give me answers like “just believe “ , “ god works in a mysterious way” , “ your wisdom is like foolishness in the sight of god” , “ don’t allow god punish you ooo”. |

My father was born into a Muslim polygamous family, while my mother was born into a polygamous Christian family
I grew up with my mother so indirectly I was a Christian but had a Muslim name. I started reading both religious holy book and found out they’re don’t make sense with a lot of scientific errors in them. So I started to question my belief, I was an agnostic at that point
Until I started asking my father some questions about religion but he couldn’t answer. So I became an atheist |

2horsePOWER: Are there any religious backing? is it even right? why spend so much money? Yes, it is certain everybody will die, death is sure but is death really worth celebrating Lately,I have been thinking if thr's really the need for it. Why not just drop the dead 6ft underground and thats it! everybody leave for their home. Instead of disturbing the dead with so much noise.
What are your views? I believe it’s just part of the African mentality where we celebrate almost anything. 1) we buy car - we celebrate 2) build house - we celebrate 3) give birth - we celebrate Birthday - we celebrate It’s just our mentality aaronson: Left to me, there are many ceremonies that are so worthless of celebrating, celebration such as Burial, Naming Ceremony, Christmas, Birthday, babyshower, bridal- shower, Bachelors eve and remembrance.
They don't make no single sense. I agree with you |
