Jeze: I believe Fashola's creativity is what this country needs

I concur with U̶̲̥̅̊....in as much as I don't really dig tinubu and †ђξ anointing style of choosing candidates !!.....but his choice (Fashola) really is one †ђξ best candidates that we av around for now for †ђξ presidency...at least tinubu did gave lagosians a good successor compared to obj that gave us yardua/Gej...so really if we nigerians are really really really ready for change and not religious n ethnic calculations undecided

Politics / Re: Nigerian Citizens Are The Problems Of Nigeria NOT The Government by hakwise(m): 11:54pm On Jun 04, 2012
PapaBrowne:

Very funny. Wish you can think about the reality of our existence for a moment. What is Government and what does it consist of. It consists of humans that yesterday were a part of the regular society.
So Big Question: Why do people that yesterday were a part of the regular society get to into the place called "government" and become neanderthals?
Answer, because the regular society is filled with neanderthals in the waiting. All they need is an environment that would help them bring it out. The place called government is that perfect environment.
The biggest problems we face steer us in the face in our everyday life. We see our friends steal the office dry and we either join them or turn a blind eye. The same students screaming Jonathan is clueless for renaming UNILAG would be cheating in class when exams start tommorow. The same doctors that are cursing on Fashola are selling drugs given free to patients. The market woman cheats. The Okada rider steals. The bank worker is a fraudster and the fast food owner is deliberately selling rotten chicken. And you know why?? Because they are all rotten and would do worse when given the perfect environment!!
Ask yourself, why is it Nigerians selling drugs on the streets of Europe, Thailand and Brazil?? Why not Zambians or Peruvians or Cambodians?? Now tell me, does the Nigerian Government train these people in the art of Drug dealing?? Or is Nigeria the only country with a messed up leadership??
THINK MAN, THINK. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH OUR CULTURE. A CULTURE THAT PREVENTS US FROM TAKING RESPONSIBILITY, BUT ENCOURAGES BLAME SHIFTING.
Change will come only when people begin to seek to influence their little environment! It would start from the ground up.

In as much as it made sense with ur submission....I like U̶̲̥̅̊ to look at it this way ...most of †ђξ citizens of these advanced countries we look up to Ħª√ę as much rotten peoplee we Ħª√ę in nigeria...but do U̶̲̥̅̊ know why they r better than us ...its becos they built institution that is strong enough to check their peoples excesses ...human nature naturally is evil !! Just like president obama rightlly noted ..we should really start building institutions, right mentality that would outlive us all...U̶̲̥̅̊ and I can't start that n expect †ђξ much desired effect or result except it start from †ђξ top.....so my take still goes to our leaders ...we av been so unlucky to av †ђξ wrong peoplee at †ђξ helm of affairs...†ђξ moment we start to Ħª√ę †ђξ right n progressive thinking leaders...things would take shape believe M̶̲̥̅ε̲̣̣̣̥ ..so nigerians should stop this attitude of I must vote for my tribe oor its tribe A or B's turn..we should start lookin out for qualities nt ethinicity ...

I feel pained atimes when I seee how an average nigerian react to issues like this ....I feel we av a long way to go!!!...how can sumone block †ђξ road aimlessly and waste man hours oon †ђξ road..and we still expect him to be left off !! Even in †ђξ court he was given nt too tough bail conditions which he didnt comply it... sad..its just that most nigerians are so used to man know man....we don't want to acknowledge that this is a lawful land ....!!
Business / Re: Alpari Nigeria Turning To Forextime Nigeria by hakwise(m): 1:47pm On Apr 16, 2012
[quote author=bily]firstly i have been using alpari newzealand for a long time even before they opened in nigeria and to prove it, see the attached pix which was a post i made over a year ago. so i know what i am saying and i have had a lot of experience with alpari.

and i must tell you i have never had a problem with alpari nigeria as a broker in terms of execution, deposits and withdrawals. of course sometimes there a glitches which is usually caused by the nigerian banking factor and its usually resolved ASAP.

like the OP, i was also worried when i got a call from alpari nigeria. first thing i did after i got the call was to go online to alpari nz website and chat with d oyinbos there. what i discovered was immediately i asked about fxtm, they asked for my number and told me they will give me a call. this got me worried cos i was wandering why they could not tell me about fxtm on chat. so next thing i got a call from their nigerian office explaining the reasons to me and telling me about a conference which will unviel fxtm to the public. the person that spoke to me was very knowlegdeable and i liked the fact that he dint mince words and was sincere. now these are the points i got from him:

like we all know alpari has offices in both uk and usa and i was told that the regulatory bodies in uk (FSA and NFA) dont like the fact that alpari exists in some countries where their govt do not have a system in place to verify the source of income of their citizens. and i learnt that alpari uk was fined for over 200k pounds for that reason.

i also learnt that d change did not affect just alpari nigeria but also alpari china, turkey, indonesia, etc so alpari in those countries also rebranded to forextime.

i was then adviced to switch to forextime if i still want to enjoy deposits and withdrawals locally in naira but if i choose to use alpari, then i will have to go back to the traditional way of dom account and wire transfers for my deposit and withdrawals in alpari. i have since switched and i dont have any problems.

all i did was transfer my money right from my alpari personal area to forextime without withrawing the money to my bank account first ( this was actually one of the reasons why i believed them cos if it was a fraud, alpari newzealand WOULD NEVER allow a client to transfer money from their own brokerage account to any broker misrepresenting them)

also they are still using the same bank accounts its just the bank name that has changed. mind you we are not talking about small money here so i did my due dillegence very well. i even physically went to their office at allen.

also i discovered that the same people you chat with online with alpari are the same set of pple you chat with online at forextime. so if you ask me, i think the reason for the change is so that alpari brand will no longer be fined by nfa and fsa for the activities of forextime in those countries that alpari existed and had to rebrand to forextime.

and on another note, i think it is high time traders work on thier money and risk management and stop blaming brokers for their shortcomings. as traders we should learn to accept responsiblities cos that is the only way we can improve.

just my 2pip!

Oga....you spoke my mind..i av spoken to them in alpari Uk and i av being to allen my self the right answer is just what i av above here...i av been using alpari UK for 5 years and there has never been any issue..i av made megga bucks and i av had dwn times...and to me no matter the way u see the market ur money management n knowing the market psychology along with ur trading style is enuf really.....
Politics / Re: ACN's Call For President Jonathan's Resignation Is Satanic - Anglican Church by hakwise(m): 4:53am On Apr 08, 2012
But why is it that issues that has any religious lining in it.. We as nigerians tend to be defensive or unreasonable..†ђξ contractor chose otuoke's church for reconstruction. Before †ђξ president came on who knows that town??...is not pretty obvious that its a sort of gift,bribe..call it anything something to placate †ђξ president..as for ACN they are just an opposition party PDP too would av done †ђξ same or worse..as for †ђξ bishop he shouldn't av taken sides or even wade into †ђξ matter at all..he should av instead talk more oon hw peoples lives is gonna be affected postively by this govt..
