This story made me remember my experience with Nigeria Police force....I had an accident this fateful day ....It was an head on collision with a commercial vehicle that took one way... some few minutes after this incident while I was thanking God for sparing my life I had just a little scratch I didn't even know who informed the police...They came down from Okada, after brief inspection of the vehicles involved:
The next thing I would hear from the police is

Police: Oga abeg buy us corn na !!!

I was shocked!!! They had already call the woman selling the cooked corn and started eating telling me to pay ....sheepishly I payed still in shock
on getting to the police station
Na so so Oga drop something
niger police officers are just funny people..

Politics / Re: Fasola's 2014 Statement On Power Supply: The Hunter Has Become The Hunted by hakwise(m): 12:13am On Mar 28, 2016
The way we Nigerians relate about issues in this country leaves me to keep wandering where we got it wrong...it beats my imagination to see youths think this way
The budget was just approved some days back...To think that some people really feel when this administration comes on board in like 2 months power would be stable??!!..If u really think like that then I would take it that u don't know the nitty gritty of how these things work..more so since I was born in the 80s Nigeria never for once had stable power...and we never for once attempt to make power work...each adminstration that comes time after time comes to squander....except if ur just an enemy of progress..that is when you wld not exercise some level of patience to see where this administration is heading towards ....The first budget for the first actually fiscal yr of this govt just got approval sm days back.....!!!!! patience is a virtue !! Let's reserve our bullets and wait and see ...bless you people..

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, All Progressives Congress (APC), National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ibukun Awosika, Chairperson, First Bank Plc, have been identified as Keynote Speakers for the Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs Student Association’s (AYESA) Inaugural conference to be held this Saturday at the Sports Complex, University of Lagos with the theme “Entrepreneurship in Education”.
According to the organisers, AYESA is not only about having students who start their own businesses, “it’s also about students who set their own goals in life. It seeks to assist them with means to achieve them. It’s about initiative and proactive attitude to solving problems that matter to people. It’s about the university working closely with the surrounding society and private sector”.
The conference which is an initiative of the Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs (A.Y.E) “is committed to empowering young entrepreneurs across Africa by creating platforms that facilitate intra-trade on the continent; dedicated to developing the next generation of outstanding African entrepreneurs who will shape the economies and political landscapes of their home countries”, a statement from the organisation reads in part.
The AYESA is one of the avenues through which the South African based organisation(A.Y.E), founded by Summy Smart Francis with operations in about nineteen African countries and membership of about twelve million people, seeks to achieve it aims. “Our annual Networking with the Giants conference will bring together young entrepreneurs and established business luminaries in one space to network and to close business deals, [because] we envision new partnerships being formed at the conference that will lead to numerous investments [that would] translate into job creation across the continent”, the organisers reiterated.
Also expected at the conference as speakers are Summy Francis, A.Y.E President; Lanre Olusola, author, The Money Book; Olakunle Soriyan, President, Olakunle Soriyan Company; Niyi Adesanya, President, Fifth Gear; Samson Olatunde, CEO, Business Impact Group, among others.

PDP Governors Prostrate For Obasanjo
To Support Goodluck Jonathan's Re-
election Bid[Photo]
More than seven Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
governors this morning arrived the Abeokuta, Ogun State,
hilltop residence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to
persuade him to work for the re-election of President
Goodluck Jonathan in next year’s presidential election.
Two of the governors, Liyel Imoke of Cross River State and
Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, arrived Obasanjo’s
residence at 12.55 p.m. and swiftly moved into the house
without any banters with journalists who were there.
The identity of some of the governors could not be
confirmed as the registration numbers of their cars were
covered.
A close aide of Obasanjo confirmed that all the governors
were from the PDP and that they came to persuade
Obasanjo not to abandon the party at this crucial moment
when his support is highly needed.
The aide also confirmed that Obasanjo was aware of their
coming as he had earlier held a meeting with some of his
associates on the visit of the PDP governors.
“Throughout last night Baba Obasanjo met with us to
discuss the visit by the PDP governors and the position to
take. Baba pointedly told us that he remains a staunch
member of PDP and that he was not fighting anybody but
cannot accept an indicted fellow to be his leader,”
It was also gathered that the main purpose of the
governors’ visit was to persuade Obasanjo to throw his
weight behind the reelection of President Jonathan in 2015
and stop giving tacit support to the opposition All
Progressives Congress, APC, in its quest to dislodge the
ruling party from the centre.
