I applied 24th of August and did biometrics on the same day.

It has been 32 working days now and nothing.

Please advice on what can be done?

I tried calling but they kept saying please wait till it hung up

Good morning everyone, pls I av some questions.

1) I booked my flight with Qatar airways and we couldn’t update our passport data page info. After mailing them, they asked us to send it via mail. The question is now that can we update these info at the airport before take off?

2) for someone travelling on Saturday evening and landing on Sunday, wen is it okay to do the covid test?

3) for the sake of doublecheking, what are the necessary things/documents to take along in the hand luggage wen travelling , to be sure one has everything that could be asked in place.

Did my biometrics on the 9th August standard vi, got a mail that your visa application has been issued on the 30th of august and another one on the 16th of august yet no pickup mail and when I track it says still at decision making center. I have been to Tls 3 times after the first mail and still nothing, sent Ukvi a paid mail and no response yet and enrollment deadline is 30th and I can’t enroll without my visa. I am confused please any assistance is highly required

Call them instead. Choose option to speak French so they can pick on time
Then switch to English after faking French greeting

My school just notified me about the in-person registration deadline which I can't beat because I haven't even gotten my visa yet, I've kept them abreast with my ordeals and the unfortunate delays but according to them, there's nothing they can do other than to Withraw my application if i don't make it... What next steps should I take even I get the visa because I won't be able to use it

Y not defer till January n wen your visa is out, you travel and start working before sch resumes.

Finished my application on 16th and booked for biometrics on 21st.

1. I am accompanying my wife, I just realized I entered a wrong Visa Expiry date ‘15 March 2024’ instead of course end date ‘ 30 Sept 2022, while filling information on IHS health surcharge which caused me to pay $ 1,690 and my wife paid $1,014. Please what can I do to rectify this. So worried right now.

2. Does this have a serious implication on my application decision?

Sent a paid mail on the 8th of this month. I have not got any reply from them yet. On what date did yours move to VAC please ?

It moved on the 16th in the morning. N collection mail in the evening. Their reply is taking too long sef. Mine took 4working days to get a reply to the mail.

I think applying with dependent at the same time is a major risk factor to getting the non straight forward email and i think the email simply means “sorry we can’t review your applications right now because it’s connected to another person (dependent) I.e not straight forward and right now we have a lot on our hands,we’ll surely review your applications later though might be outside the normal time frame.”
I strongly advise that the main applicant and dependent apply at different times to avoid high BP. Dependent can apply after the main applicant is given visa.

These UKVI pple are highly unpredictable. There is no formular for what works for them. The only solution to their headache is prayer.

My sis in-law applied as a family of 5, standard application in early July. Their visas came out after 9 working days without receiving any non straight forward mail. And I’ve seen a number of single applicants being interviewed after receiving non straight forward mail. So, anybody should apply however they want, just av sufficient POF.

Congratulations!!! This was exactly how I was feeling when I was waiting after the not straightforward email. I would wake up sad and anxious, was also always having constant headache. But I thank God for his mercies

Non straightforward mail 31st/08/2021

Then different negative thoughts started ringing in our heads.
Issues we had;
•mistake in my baby’s consent letter (could be seen as minor)
•hubby was refused in US and two other countries but we tot declaring only one was sufficient and we declared only US.

Those 4 weeks and 4 days we waited for seemed like forever. Waking up with sadness mixed with headache, anxiety, high BP, fear and all sort. But we really prayed, my mum over prayed. Alhamdulilah it’s all joy now.
In fact, it was the non straight forward mail that led me to nairaland because I just needed to mix with pple who can understand me. I mailed a number of pple privately here, all due to my fear. Standard application is indeed something to stay clear of!
I pray other waiting applicants get their visas with joy, aameen.

my painful ordeal
I applied to university of Southampton and was assured of full or partial scholarship by my faculty head. After, I was offered an unconditional admission which make the atmosphere funky and in my mind I'm about to paint the town red because of high expectation of full scholarship. I was sent CAS form to fill, no tuition deposit. I was asked to send my initial visiting visa refusal letter which I did and due to the reason given on the refusal stating insufficient fund, I was asked to send a POF, I wrote to the casteam that my pof is not up to 28days and the receiver said I should send it for CAS consideration but I should makesure its 31days before applying for visa, after waiting for almost 27days with high hope and preparation to soon become iya Charlie person, I received an heartbreaking message that they could not issue me CAS because of multiple transactions in my account ( mind you it was just 10m that was sent to the account twice to make 20m ) and my refusal letter was due to I sufficient fund. I wrote them severally stating that the account I used for my visiting visa application was my salary account which has like 4.5m and the one I use now is for my study which is 20m . I attached the 2 statement of account from 2 different banks to clarify. but unfortunately after 12days they reply my message that their decision stand oh. I have been depressed and sad for past 3days because I have planned all my movements and delayed , reject some work because of time frame and now still stocked with baba bubu. I'm just trying to snap out of it now and trying to summon courage to apply to other schools for January intake.
. I think I will advise if you are to send pof to any where make it 28days because I was even mislead by the school team.

S second was error on my cas they ask me to send another one I called my school and they mailed them

How did u know these after seeing the non straight forward mail? Did u mail them to ask for the reasons or they mailed u to tell u before asking?

This is disheartening if this is what they send after 49 days! They are just using us to catch cruise.
Today I place a call to them the phone kept me on wait for 55min this was at international rates And I was charged additional 68pence all this without getting to speak to anyone. It’s that bad
