This was an interview where the Minister was specifically asked about the exchange rate situation. He tried to explain the factors that influence the rate making reference to oil price. He simply said the SITUATION (exchange rate) was beyond the president since he does not control oil price. He never said the ECONOMY was beyond the President’s control as misrepresented by the media.

How the media gets away with such mischief is beyond me. Worse still is the fact that 80% of readers do not even notice this distortion of facts. These are people that will later assume leadership positions. With such shallowness among citizens, the future is even more uncertain.

Here is the point; Moses did not invent his own laws CONTRARY to God, rather he accurately communicated all laws that God gave him at the mountain to the t. Moses did not invent divorce, it was God's concession.

Look at this verse;
Matthew 8:4 (ESV)
4 And Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”

Here is the context;
Jesus has just healed a leper. Did Moses command lepers to offer gifts after they were healed?

Turn with me to Leviticus 14:1-32

You can see that while Jesus said 'Moses commanded', it was YHWH who actually commanded it. The instructions for cleansing of the healed Leper came from YHWH. He spoke through Moses, and Moses shared these with Israel. Similarly, Moses did not invent divorce contrary to what you have been taught. Do you think YHWH would have allowed Moses to grossly violate His Laws and mislead Israel into divorce?

'Moses said','Moses commanded','Moses is taught','Moses suffered'....all these do not in any way imply that Moses concocted rules, they are an idiom. Moses in NT means the Laws Moses received from the Lord. They were not his

When you read 'Moses suffered', 'Moses commanded', 'Moses said','Moses is read' in NT, it does not mean Moses the man gave instructions, that is an idiom; Moses is an idiom for the Laws God gave to Israel through him. These are called Law of Moses or Law of God

In the subject verse, do you think it is logical for Moses to invent his own rules on divorce overruling God?
What Jesus is saying is He created marriage institution ORIGINALLY without room for breaking it,but He LATER,THROUGH MOSES, gave concessions because of man's sin.

Not all of them have been convicted yet and sentenced so it's meaningless complaining about funds to pursue a case or recover funds. The nation is presently suffering from what is termed a 'negative balance of trade'. Before now, let's assume the total amount of forex leaving Nigeria per month was $10billion (this amount includes money spent importing fuel, food, clothes, foreign school and medical fees, you $5 handkerchief etc), this forex outflow of $10bn is balanced by a forex inflow of $10bn or more mainly from oil sales. Today the proceeds from oil sales has fallen by 70%, but our taste for foreign goods has obviously not changed. So today we are getting inflow of only $3bn but still spending $10bn. This is the negative balance of trade which is reducing the reserves.

To manage this crisis and prevent reserves from reaching zero, cbn has totally stopped releasing forex to banks and BDCs which help people like yourself who want to buy a mere handkerchief; except you can prove that you want to purchase an essential commodity like import fuel or rice etc, the cbn will not release its scarce forex to you. So the forex which your bank sold to you for N350 was not gotten from cbn, it was from the blackmarket. The blackmarket guys get their forex from diverse sources (including raw cash from people who return from diaspora). The scarcity of forex in the open market is the reason why it sells for up to N350 or N400.
