PoliticsRe: Real Reason Buhari Barred AIT by hamilton62(m): 7:59am On Apr 28, 2015
debo07:
Dokpesi used to earn my respect years back. But now he doesn't have even the smallest of respects from me again. He really took the campaign personal.he went just too far with it.People shouldn't see Buhari's action against AIT as an attack on media sector cos I'm sure Buhari won't do that to other stations.Dokpesi just need to be dealt with to regain his sences. This will teach him never to air hate campaign against anybody again in future.
Who didn't go too far in the campaign, is it APC or PDP?
Look! I can only fault AIT if the fabricated it but if the documents are true, they have the right to air it and Nigerians are glad to know about it... Let's just stop this partizanship, wake up and smell the coffee...
Be it any reason, the General should be careful the way he handles things now because this isn't 19th century... Fighting against AIT will be disastrous to his present mantle as Nigerians have decided to let the past and sleeping dog about him lie...
I learnt something about a lot of things in this election and we should watch our present action because it will affect our future, this generation isn't forgiven like the previous...

Please, just mute you words when it concerns spirituality, act as if you never saw it... Patience is a virtue and gift of the Holy spirit, so you have to learn to be in things of this nature or face great damnation.

As a matter of fact, there are plenty of families in which some kids are very responsible and others not. I am yet to see a family without at least one black sheep. If, however, you believe that their daughters are irresponsible too, then mention their shortcomings and leave out their brothers.

A woman does not need to be tall. I know plenty of tall men who have short girlfriends. Height is a male issue, not a female.

Haven't you just said eligible men are only to be found one in a million? You have answered your question yourself. I didn't know eligible equals very rich.

First it was about his profession and now it's about his bank account. What are we talking about now?
What do you mean by black sheep?
Some children can be stubborn or weird when you step on their fundamental right unlike their siblings who are cool but before you flaw their right they are respectful...
What does this mean?
The parents are to be blamed because every farmer knows which crop is doing well and add more fertilizer to the one lagging... You channel the energy of a child rightly... This is the children people tell you; e no dey fine trouble but if you find him trouble na double wahala you go get...

CareerRe: Is It Right For A Pastor Work In An Alcohol Manufacturing Company? by hamilton62(m): 10:54pm On Apr 23, 2015
CrazyMan:
The Bible doesn’t condemn alcohol. The only reference made to alcohol in the Bible is do not take too much of wine, don't be filled with wine".

Prophets, men of God and even Jesus himself all drank wine. And in his last moments on earth, he (Jesus) gave his disciples wine and bread and specifically instructed us to keep drinking wine in remembrance of him.

But despite the fact that Jesus and his disciples were known for drinking wine, (in fact one of Jesus first miracles was the turning of water into wine) it was never recorded anywhere in the bible that he (Jesus) nor his disciples got drunk. They choose to be filled with more of the holy ghost than the wine they consumed.

So you see these alcohol stuff has to do with the individual state...people detest alcohol not because the bible strongly forbids it but because they feel its not good.

Tell your pastor in-law to accept the job offer. Whether or not he consumes it is up to him to decide. But in the meantime, he has a family to carter for.
At least you can visit a winery, after the visit what will you discover?
Some Alcoholic wines and some alcohol free wines... So there are two grades of wine from experience (visitation) but Brew companies aren't wine making companies because they know the money is in synthesized alcoholic beers and others...
Don't you think that due to the sweet taste of the wine Jesus turned water to in the land of cannan many would have been drunk if it was alcohol?
The wine was sweeter than any other and in abundant... So many were supposed to lie on their chunder (vomit) if it was alcohol...
Because you stand on your one leg to pray and you are called a pastor doesn't make standing on 2 legs to pray bad...
@ Op, God has a cordial relationship with that in-law of yours who is a pastor and that's why he could still understand clearly the word of God telling hi to turn it down.
Leviticus 10:9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.
Why will the Levi die if wine (alcoholic one) is good?

Numbers 6:3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.
Part of righteousness, though without His grace we aren't.

Judges 13:4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing.
A law to God's people (people in salvation)

The Bible has it all... True Christians and born agains know your rights, ignorance is more deadly than anything even before a Jury in court...
Read and study your bibles please, it's the manual of life and you will find all your questions in it with the leadership and guild of the Holy Spirit.
Brother, please don't be a temptation device to your inlaw against his faith because the devil is tricky and trying to do that with you.
Thanks.
God loves you.

You are right dear... I am a GEJ supporter but that doesn't mean that Aso Rock is his fathers home... Mind you, I am not a party member but individuals are my concern...
A eye for an eye will make the world blind... Let's forget about the past so we can live in the present. The past will leave us stagnated.

All we need in Nigeria is the way forward and love... Be it APC or PDP, at first I never supported GMB because of people around him not only his personality... But the few words I have presently heard from him mean Nigerians good and positivity is what Nigerians crave for.
However, my Bible asked me to respect those in authority and in Roman 13:8 that we should owe no man anything but love... More love cures the maladie of hatred and makes one strong, reasonable, humane and a good leader... His actions if reasonable will give him more years and doubters will support him with their sweat... Continuity is the way forward though not in everything but in things that will benefit the nation without partisanship.

You emit hatred in your words and that's not politics... If you don't give your oppositions a good reason to see you worthy and respect your regime do you think it will be reciprocated?
We should grow above this partisanship mindset of politics... We mean Nigeria best in our various words so we should learn to overcome what you just said now (hatred) with much love because democracy in Nigeria now isn't 16yrs ago reign of the PDP one party system... The people know their right and what they want and how to get it now... So the best way is continuity if it be for the betterment of the country even if it's a proposal from other parties, at last the reign that implement it goes with the Kudos from the masses and that strengthens your tap root as a politician and person...
no Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Matthew 6:23-34 And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. ...

I wonder why many churches kept doin this, and is some times boring. I believe 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. has it all

Because most Pentecostals and Prayers warriors do NOT believe in Jesus. They will continue to preach and pray with old Jewish mantra from the Old Testament to support their arguments and subsequent long prayers.

You have quoted Jesus response to long prayers, this is totally ignored by my so-called prayer warriors.

See the somebody's answer below, and this person will say he or she is a Christian too?

44. Kei144(m): Quote Post
Everything depends on the extent of your spiritual knowledge and attainment. Long prayer is necessary when the minister of the gospel or child of God is preparing her/himself in solitude. When ministering, or handling a problem, in the public, prayer should be very short. In fact, it should be more of decreeing (Job 22:28). The decree will be done if you built up enough divine power in you while you prepared in solitude.

Ph. 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength
.
Please, invite the Holy spirit before studying the word of God...
Your level determines how long you last in prayers because it's a supplication and exercise of one's right in christidom depending on the situation...
If you are praying with your consciousness about people around without channelling to God in totality then this part of the bible will come to play and you will use words to appease the listeners.
Not every time long prayers are made but remember, long prayers when made rightly are like reservoirs that you tap from when an emergency situation that will need the service of long prayers but there's no time for it... We prepare sometimes with long prayers but not always because we are not ignorance of the devices of the devil... If long prayer is bad, the you mean there's no relevance for the grace of prayers?
Every Christian programme you attend that's brief has been prepared for with long prayers but in the programme, short prayers were made and most times you see the manifestation of God's presence and you think it was all made for at that time without understanding the pre-long and most times exhausting prayers made.

Prayers without faith is just a conversation without interest... Faith brings the result...faith is likened to when a man is asked to sit on a bad chair that he won't fall when your physical eyes and being know that you must fall but you decide to see beyond the physical and believe that you won't... Then you won't (that's you prayers are answered.

UfuomaUN:
One boring thing about church service this days is the long prayers. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against spending time praying to God or stuff like that. I just feel that when prayers get prolonged people loose interest most times especially when they have run out of words.

I remember a certain time I was in a church service and the prayers lasted an hour! Knowing too well that the bible emphasises praying straight to the point and avoiding repetition of words while praying (God is not deaf after all) so why then do people pray for too long?

Are long prayers more effective?
The length of the prayers especially in intercessory depends on the grace and appetite of the intercessor... Remember, the bible said; iron sharpneth iron and so does one sharpen the countenance of a brother...
If you key in with the intercessor or the prayer leader then you will see the above quote come to manifest and more light to it, the bible said in the nbook of roman that our body is weak but the spirit interceededs on our behalf...
Long prayers on point is a virtue of grace that you can't tell if you are doing it because you are riding on the frequency of the spirit... Most times when the spirit subsides in the intercession, you'll then discover that you've spent hours which wasn't intentional... All boils down to one's spiritual antenna

Pastor Adeboye isn't a racist... He is the vessel through which the power of God in prayers given was made but it depends on the seeker or receiver; how much value and respect he has for our supreme-sovereign-invisible God.
Jonathan is a Nigerian and remember, we are more religious and respectful more than the british or westerners, Cameron is a british so all he believes is in the prayers alone and doesn't understand what obedience means to a supreme-supernatural monarch called God... It's different understanding about the being (God) that answers prayers between the both.
