My issue with some of you is that you easily dismiss the worries of others, a minority can never disregard the fear of a bigger group, we owe it to our children to fight for their interests.

You speak this way probably because you come from a major group.

The question here for you is rationalism.

Are your fears rational or exaggerated?

What are you afraid of? Can it be mitigated?

Fear over-shadows rationalism and that fearing minority becomes irrational.

Using Delta state/Anioma as a reference is so faulty, Delta State is well balanced, it will be impossible for any group to dominate, Anioma plays a role of balance and check, remove from the picture and watch how smaller groups the will be so scared of being dominated.

Like during the Midwest regional government, Urhobo acted as a balance and check to the influence of the Binis, but same can't be said about a union of minorities with a SINGLE major ethnic group.

Amongst unequals the chances of being dominated is more higher, conflicts can easily be resolved.

I believe, i have replied this.

I will leave you to figure it out for yourself.

Size will never be to fit all, we will always have small, mdium and large.

If we put all of you in SS together, one group will be larger.

Domination has nothing to do with size but capacity. i.e. resources

So on that note, i take my leave.

If you watch the full video in your link, you will be further convinced that this is unlikely to be an explosion caused by a truck conveying explosives. Notice that in this case, the parts of the truck were found around the site and the driver died. See link for full video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNjKZAkxuCI

Dude, it depends on the amount of explosive.

A truck carrying huge explosives, will not be around the site of explosion.

It would have ben blown away, destroying buildings and killing people on its way.

@Bolded, then I ask, what's stopping them from uniting if they can easily be united? You place too much emphasis on religion, it hasn't helped in uniting these people, while it's a factor of unity, it isn't all that is required for 200 unique groups to unite for a common cause.

These groups do not look at the bigger picture, they place turn much emphasis on their personal interests like You talked about the Tivs throwing support for GMB, hoping to get something in return. If for example you manage to bring them together, individual tribes can easily be bribed by the big two.

I may be wrong, just judging from my experience so far with middle beltans.

Forget this your big group obsession.

Where u have any group, one will always be larger than the other.

Your parents did not give birth to all of you the same day.

Even whilst you are calling Fulani names.

Note, Tiv and Jukun fight just as much as you do in Delta State.

They dont even share state but boundaries.

One lives in Taraba and the other in Benue.

Size has nothing to do with domination, strenght does.

I hope our people have seen the trial run of a new explosive device some herds people have started using for their terrorism of southern cities.

They used the same explosive at Abule Egba in Lagos and destroyed so many adjacent buildings and killed so many people at once. The Nigerian Police is doing all in its power to cover the tracks of the perpetrators and of course conceal information on the type of explosive they use.

They have again tested the same device in Akure with devastating effects. I bet you the next thing is for them to find some crowded southeast or south-south city to detonate that device. Unless we are very watchful.

We said the same thing here when the use of petrol tankers driven by people from a certain part of Nigeria was used as a tool to burn down markets in parts of Nigeria. Nobody listened until they deployed the same tactics to burn markets in the southeast.

Again, we must be very vigilant on what type of explosive device has been used at Abule Egba and Akure. How do they transport the device to the target area and how are they able to detonate it. Unless we find out about these things and set up plans to thwart their evil plans, we are bound to see an Akure or Abule Egba type of explosion in one of our cities soon.

E never reach one week after this, they did dat in Ondo.

We discussed this just 4 pages back.

Clearly it is the same device.

The effects is the same

Chief, make your contributions without going the tribal way. humans, regardless of where they come from will always want to dominate weaker or smaller groups, it's one attribute we can never let go.

We aren't even talking about unity, but being treated fairly by a major group, the chances of being dominated is 90%, which can never happen in a union with similar smaller groups.

This is common with humans all over the world. I won't respond if you continue playing the tribal card.

It's impossible uniting smaller groups against a major group, situations like this, some smaller groups knowing fully well they aren't capable of putting up a good fight align with the bigger group, leaving their own identity to forge with the bigger group just to remain relevant, thereby expanding the influence of the major group.

A very funny situation, it takes a lot of sacrifices and determination to pull your own people out of such union. A common experience if you study the relationships among humans.

I dont agree with your claims.

The fact that the Anioma are peaceful despite being a part of a major group underscores your analogy.

The smaller groups in Delta seem unable to live together and constantly in conflict amongst themselves.

This is the same-thing, i was saying with my earlier submission rephrased.

I have added a recent video to jog your memory.

So wat am saying is that your submission is wrong, because amongst equals the chances of violent and rampant conlict will be very high, meaning they cannot live peacefully together.

Wat you propose is straight up Anarchy or Chaos

I used to think so, but not anymore, The northern minorities aren't just fortunate enough. It's actually difficult for people of different ethnicity to come together to archive a common goal, In situations such as this, the Major ethnic group, even if they do not make 30% of the entire population will use their unity in strength and a game of divide and rule to dominate 70% of the remaining population (minorities).

I have come to realize In life that it's always disastrous having minorities with a major group, the minorities, no matter how many they are, will be subdued. We have seen this happen over and over again all over the world.

Let me assess this your logic.

So If Igbo was smaller in size like Urhobo, it will mean Urhobo and Igbo will be more united?

Let me ask u, is Urhobo by itself united? Let us not even mention the Isoko, just Urhobo by itself?

My friend, stop talking nonsense.

You can't throw Ikwerres under the bus when doing so is vital and expedient to furthering Igbo interests, when you have Ikwerre people like Okwukwu in your apex organizations where you are supposed to discuss on secret agendas.
You seem to be contraindicating yourself.

Igbo fragmented since 1970. It got redefined. It's the truth we have to deal with, and after 50yrs of trying to pretend like nothing changed, i think it's time we accept things as they currently are and work with with we have, which is still alot.
Igbos holding unto the self destructive opinion of Ikwerre and their co-travellers in Rivers being Igbo, is akin to a man whose leg is dead and decaying, saying that the doctors should not amputate the leg, because he doesn't want his enemies to see that he is now crippled and mock him for it.
It's a stupid thing to do, because the toxins from the decayed legs would certainly kill the man, yet the enemies all still know that the man is as good as a man without legs, since the decayed legs can't help the man stand, let alone walk or run. Worst still, the enemies would even be happy to have the decayed leg stay attached to the man because they know it would eventually kill the man.

But if the man can accept his present realities, get the necrotic leg amputated, he can then work on getting high tech prosthetic limbs, he can live and do lots of things, he can even invest in body part transplant researches that would one day see him live to see a day he could be transplanted with another organic limb that is 100% as good as his own, he could live to give birth to children who would have limbs, he can do alot of things. All he need to do is accept his current reality and work with it.

Well, the Igbo will eventually come to the reality that Ikwerres are toxic to us as a people, and do the needful by expelling all Ikwerres from Igbo gatherings.
We would definitely do this, if we ever wish to move on and grow again as a dominant group. There is no two ways about it.
No Igboman who lives in Rivers state want to have anything to do with Ikwerres and their likes . It's usually ignorant Igbos who are totally ignorant of the reality on ground that run along with the Ikwerres bu Igbo delusions, based on interactions with one or two opportunist Ikwerres they met outside Rivers state.

I will not give up on Ndigbo, I will continue providing to us with the bitter truth, it is my utmost belief that the Igbo are a wise people, and that my contributions so far on this issue must have sparked off deep retrospective thinking in the minds of any Igbo person that comes across my posts so far.

I joined NL years ago as a teenager, only because I seek to promote Igbo advancement, and to debunk attempts by bitter Nigerian groups to paint Ndiigbo black , I have stayed true to this Igbo improvement agenda of mine. To that purpose, I have over the years continuously defended Igbo interests here and provided my opinions on what I genuinely believe is the way forward for Ndiigbo.

U HAVE NOT MET THE BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT CRITERIA IN THIS YOUR SUBMISSION.

SO, YOUR CASE IS DISMISSED.

The rest of Nigeria will come together to give these people what is due to Igbos to spite us... your shouting that they are not igbo is not new to anyone. Ikwere and ika are both registered ethnic groups in Nigeria constitution yet talk with an average yoruba, he will tell you they are igbos...I repeat that is what you must make peace with and accept and leverage on.
For now we win if we include them..we lose nothing by including them... but whether we include them or not will never stop Nigerians from including them when it suits other Nigerians
Peter Odili lost the chance of being VP because he was Igbo...yet it was obj who included his tribe as an ethnic group in 1979

VERY TRUE.
