Presidential task force briefing on Covid-19
1. The first journalist asked his questions in English
2. the second journalist (Yoruba lady) asked her questions in Yoruba
3. The third journalist (Hausa guy) asked his questions in Hausa
4. The fourth journalist (Igbo lady) asked her questions in English (English she couldn't even speak correctly)
Short ugly Igbo lady ...
Others spoke in their local languages but this stupid semi-litrate lady did otherwise.
Shame on you.
She asked her questions in English as if she can speak better than the two others that spoke in Yoruba and Hausa.

In as much as the story is incomplete, I a have also maintained that the soldier should have used minimum force, at most shoot at the leg.
The soldier would also face the law to determine the case.
I also know that in situations like this, when see soldiers and you have no legal right to be outside, stay out of site, this is Nigeria. If the guy had stayed at home, he would have been alive. If you have any reason to be outside, be polite when you are accosted or questioned by the security agents. THERE IS STATE OF EMERGENCY

Some of these officers have not seen their own family in month, some have seen their friend died in battle for lack of support while some are oppressed by superiors officers. They are human under heavy threat and stress daily.

Today, the Philippine president orders soldier, police or other security outfit to shot anyone that refuse to stay at home.

Ebonyi state Governor also give directive that any beer parlour or social activities venue that refuse to honour the no gathering warning, such property will be fulfilled to the government.

For China to control the spread of the virus their police were VERY brutal to those that refused to stay out home.

In this case, I don't believe the soldier just say him and shot at him. Let's get the full story.

Akure explosion: I didn’t know I was carrying explosives – Truck Driver

Akure explosion: I didn?t know I was carrying explosives ? Truck Driver

The driver who drove the truck that contained explosives which wrecked havoc at Eleyewo community in Akure North local government area on Saturday March 28, has disclosed that he didn't know what he was transporting.

Isiaka Yunusa has already undergone a surgery to remove a shrapnel from his stomach as he was rushed to the hospital unconscious after the explosion.

In an interview on a state TV, the truck driver recalled being asked to move some items from a stranded truck at Osu axis along Ife-Ibadan expressway by his boss.

He disclosed that he was driving with a police escort team and a staff of the company where the explosives were to be delivered. Yunusa said they spent the night at Shasha market in Akure after the truck became faulty.

He said;

“I was sleeping inside the truck. I heard a bang on the vehicle door that smoke was coming out from under the vehicle.

“We quickly move. The policeman that led the team said we should move ahead. As we were moving, the policemen in the escort started flashing him that he should stop. As we got down, I saw fire coming out from the vehicle. We brought out fire extinguisher. While other vehicles parked.

“They tried to assist. Suddenly the policemen shouted everybody run everybody run. As I was running, I heard a band and noticed something in my abdomen. That was all I knew and I woke up in the hospital.”

Politics / Re: Igbos Cannot Be Nigerian President Unless They Do This by hammer0: 11:35am On Apr 01, 2020
[s]
Mmuoojukwu:
How possible is Igbo presidency in 2023? The bitter truth is that Buhari cannot give or even nominate an Igboman for president in 2023 or 2040 or anytime. The Igbos banking on Buhari are just confused or deluded. Who will he even nominate? On what ground will he nominate him? If Buhari cannot even trust an Igbo man as a member of the service chiefs, is it the presidency he will support? The same thing happened to Obasanjo who has shown more love to the Igbos than any other leader from the north or west. What stopped Obasanjo from picking an Igbo man as a president or vice? What was Obasanjo's fear? Can we turn that fear into our strength? Why was Obasanjo eager to go to go North and South-south?

Again, even a kid will tell you that election in Nigeria is a charade. Who becomes a president in Nigeria is incumbent on the stake his people take or the choice of the ruling party. So there's nothing like free and fair election in Nigeria. Going by the aforementioned indices, it's obvious Igbos are not ready for presidency. And with the way Nigeria is configured today, no tribe can win presidential election through free and fair election which Igbos pin their hope. Tinubu, Osibanjo or any northerner has a better chance of becoming a Nigerian president in 2023 than the Igbos.

Luckily, Igbos have the strongest stake in Nigeria but they're not using it to their political advantage. The north and the West seem to know how to deceive and derail the Igbos. Ohaneze is no doubt the most naive sociocultural group in Nigeria. The northern elders and politicians have never disowned their youths no matter the step they take to restore the glory of the north but Ohaneze and Igbo politicians appear to be a bunch of saboteurs ready to sacrifice their children to be called good Nigerians. Every Igbo politician is fighting for self-glory. Igbo is the only tribe others can easily read its mind. Take it or leave, Tinubu, Osibanjo etc have control over Afenifere and may use it sometimes against the Igbos. Over the years we have seen Afenifere come with a topic like: "Afenifere Hails Ohaneze for Disowning IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu on Secession of Igbos," and quite recently we heard: "Afenifere Backs Nnamdi Kanu on Biafra" etc. This is the politics of the West. Two statements, dangerously opposite from Afenifere. How many times has even Ohaneze mustered courage to say they support Nnamdi Kanu and how does Afenifere support IPOB or Kanu for Christ sake? Funningly enough, when Igbos youths really stand up for Biafra, they will keep mute but during election periods they will make Biafra agitation louder on Newspaper and social media than electoral campaigns. While creating this chaos in Igboland, they are supporting their own: Tinubu, Osibanjo etc. They have seen Biafra as a stumbling block to Igbo presidency and use it as a political tool. Also, the Igbos are always happy when the Yorubas reunite with their brothers in Kwara, Kogi or elsewhere but no Yoruba man goes to sleep the day Igbos and their brothers in the newfangled south-south have a one minute dinner together. The effort seemed to be directed at permanently dividing brothers and making Igbo irrelevant.

As for the north, the use of Federal might and top Igbo traditional chiefs is a common tradition. They divide Igbo land with appointments and juicy political positions. An Igbo man loyal to a top northerner mostly does the job of a saboteur telling his northern boss who does or says what about Biafra or secession. Some Igbos are mere spin doctors hired to write against their people. When you see a top northern chief or politician in Igbo land, just know he is on a "mission." All this leaves Igbo land badly divided and contribute to why Igbo presidency is a mirage.

The big question is how did the north regain power from Goodluck? Why did Obasanjo pick Goodluck? Clearly, Igbo is the most feared tribe because of the undying quest for Biafra. The sit-at-home order which many people complied with has made the northerners leery of any Igbo person. Another bigger fear is that other tribes will not stay in Nigeria once Igbos exit. This make Biafra the northerners' bugbear. We saw how restive the north turned when Goodluck added Igbo names and made an Igbo man an army chief. Goodluck being successfully tagged "Nyamiri," the north was unease. Nigeria boiled to the top. The north deployed every means, I mean every means until Goodluck surrendered, saying his ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian. Also, the collective agitation by the South-south created serious attention and Obasanjo was compelled to give them a chance.

What then are the Igbos going to do?

Politics is a game. The higher, the tougher. It's not for weak-willed persons or divided people. Igbos should make up their minds to play it or accept their fate. Life is a risk and if you don't risk anything, you won't gain anything, you won't be Nigerian president. Since Igbo's stake is Biafra, it's impossible for Igbo to be President of Nigeria unless over 80% of the Igbos join Biafra! Mark my words, Biafra is the only answer to Igbo presidency! Every part of Igbo land should smell, resonate with Biafra. The Church, the streets, the homes, children, youths, old and everybody should talk Biafra. Include everybody in the agitation. It must be loud and consistent. The ruling class is not expected to support it but they must learn to keep quiet or pretend like the northern leaders did when Arewa youths gave Igbos quit notice. It's a win-win thing. If the world sees our seriousness, they will support our freedom and if Nigeria is afraid and ready for negotiations, the choice will be ours. We must take a decision, stick together to the course otherwise no Igbo man will be Nigerian president. If you doubt me, watch 2023 is around the corner. We have not staked anything to make Nigeria consider us for president or vice. It's not a party thing, it's our inability to organise our house. Presidency in Nigeria is not determined by a political party but by the political resolve of each tribe. The truth remains that since 1999, Igbos have not staked anything for us to be considered for presidency.

[/s]

NIGERIA MIGHT BE ENDING SOON.

Bro, Muslims are not even up to 10% in Edo state right now. They are like 8%. I know Edo state like the back of my palm. Although in the past (30 yrs ago), muslims were up to 15% in Edo state.

The only LGA in Edo state which can still be majority muslims is Etsako west (where you have Auchi, South Ibie, Aviele-Agbede & Jattu), but even in Etsako west right now, Christians are very many. In the past Etsako west used to be 100% Muslim. My brother's wife is from South Ibie, she and all her siblings were born as muslims, but today all of them are now Christians (over 20 children), her mother is now a Christian too.
Oshiomole is from Jattu, his parents were muslims, but he is now a christian and Jattu which is the biggest clan in Etsako west is now Christian majority.
Apostle Johnson Suleiman is also from Etsako west, with a Muslim father, he is now a Christian.

The influence of Christianity in the south was too strong for Etsako people. Etsako people are now Christian majority (like 75%). In the past, they were something like 65% muslim.

Etsako east is now almost entirely Christian (90% Christian), but it used to be like 40% Muslim in the past. Etsako central is now something like 30% Muslim, but it used to be like 70% muslim.

Owan & Akoko-Edo used to be like 20% muslims in the past, but today they are only like 5% Muslim or less.

Muslims are now a minority in Etsako land and Etsako land is 50% of Edo north and Edo north is ⅓ of Edo state. Do the mathematics for yourself and tell me if muslims can be up to 10% in Edo state.

Great analysis and very interesting to read.

I agree with everything that you said.

Obviously their are certain parts that i can make additional contributions, but generally, your submission was well balanced arguement.

We have a nation of people with shared history and similar culture, faith, traditional and believe system.

or because our group is not the biggest.

After you finish running, u will find that another group will emerge the biggest group.

So wat was achieved?
