Oloibiri remains the site of the first commercial oil production in 1958 after discovery in 1956, while the first ever site of oil exploration and discovery was in 1908 at Araromi in current Ondo state.
Colonial documents and evidences prove that oil was first found in Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu states, 83 years ago, but government refuses to acknowledge this nor explore the black gold.
Not many Nigerians may know that 83 years ago, oil was discovered in Ebonyi, Anambra and Enugu states, in the South East geo-political zone. That was at least more than 20 years before the oil find in Oloibori, in the Niger Delta, which is prided as the first discovery in the country. According to documentary evidence, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) knows this, but the corporation has not made much efforts to explore the oil ever since.
Saturday Sun visited Ebonyi, Anambra and Enugu states recently, where mineral oil lie idle and waste. Indigenes of these places, where unexploited oil was discovered, are full of lamentation.
Evidence of oil find in South East At Edda, Ebonyi State, Prince Sunny Ugwuocha, a calibration engineer and principal partner of an oil servicing firm in Lagos, confirmed knowledge of the existence of oil in his community. It was also the same with Mr. Nnachi Kalu, a chemist and petroleum analyst, who admitted to Saturday Sun his knowledge of oil in Edda, his native place.
They said the oil find was in 1928, 83 years ago. Till date, the oil in Edda, with all the attesting documents at the National Archives in Enugu remains untapped.
Throwback: Yet the same Eastern region government that was dominated by Igbos, watched as Oloibiri in Bayelsa that was within the same region was produced to claim a historic feat?
What do you gain from all these hopeless lies?
That oil was prospected and found to exist, is not the same as first commercial quantity?
Besides, the first oil prospecting site in Nigeria, was in present day Ondo state, but was not found to be in commercial quantity.
Stop trying to fight the history and significance of Oloibiri.
At least, make an attempt to fight the Igbo in you. No wonder you are not trusted by those who know you so well.

AFONJA!
LISTEN, LARGEST GAS RESERVE IN AFRICA AND ACTIVE OIL OPERATION.
THAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF AN OIL PRODUCING STATE.
NOT CONSTANT MEDIA OIL NEWS LIKE LAGOS, WITH NOTHING TO SHOW.
Throwback: We are talking of active production, yet you claim Lagos oil is imaginary despite a semi submersible oil rig operated by ENI having worked on the Aje field offshore Badagry, and an FPSO working to produce and store the crude oil.
Yet you then come up with an imaginary gas reserve in Anambra state that has never been produced?
Even you can see how hopeless you are.
GO TO ANAMBRA, THEY WILL SHOW YOU ORIENT REFINERY.
Throwback: We are talking of active production, yet you claim Lagos oil is imaginary despite a semi submersible oil rig operated by ENI having worked on the Aje field offshore Badagry, and an FPSO working to produce and store the crude oil.

Throwback: I have no business with Akwa Ibom, neither do you see me bitter over whatever is good for Akwa Ibom.
I identified a parasite, and I shone the light on it for the good of the host who might mistake a parasite for a friend, not knowing a parasite only cares about its own survival.
WE DONT HAVE TO BEG ANYBODY TO RELOCATE, THEY ARE ALREADY THEIR BUILDING CARGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CITY
Throwback: So you are even from the wretched SouthEast, yet so concerned that Lagos must fail and fall, and attaching your parasite self to the SouthSouth and already imploring your Anambra governor to go cap in hand to beg Akwa Ibom for whatever bones might fall of the master's table for the dog?
Pray tell, how is an international oil company your own when you are from Anambra?
Is there no shame with you?
ANAMBRA IS AN OIL PRODUCING STATE AND GUESS WAT, WE OWN OUR OIL COMPANY. AFONJA!
Blue3k: Lol ok don't commit suicide if they dont. You lies have been exposed. The NASS didn't give directive and Exxon didn't agree to relocate. Focus on your charm making village.
Btw the directive isn't a law. There no legal consequence for not relocating. Osinbanjo is not a dictator.
Ooo Y U DEY FEAR LIKE THIS?
DAT IS Y I SAID, I AM THE ONLY PERSON THAT UNDERSTANDS YORUBA.
AKWA IBOM IS BUILDING, UNDERSTAND THAT SIMPLE GRAMMAR.
Blue3k: Lol ok don't commit suicide if they dont. You lies have been exposed. The NASS didn't give directive and Exxon didn't agree to relocate. Focus on your charm making village.

FG directs oil companies to relocate headquarters to Niger-Delta ON MARCH 3, 201710:19 AMIN NEWS0 COMMENTS By Dennis Udoma UYO-Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has directed the International Oil Companies operating in the Niger-Delta region to relocate their headquarters to their States of operation to mitigate tension in host communities. Osinbajo, gave the directive at a Town Hall meeting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital on Thursday during continuation visit to the region to dialogue with stakeholders.
Blue3k: Lol you are pretty dense. The aren't in Lagos because of the building inept clown. Again did Exxon say they would relocate because of the building? This is same way you claimed the oil companies were ordered by NASS to relocate. Go back to making charms in your village with the other destitutes.
Blue3k: It's not impossible with right deal. Tax incentives, saftey and OGFZ could sway their opinion. Building stuff nobody asked for is just dumb. Only Nairaland clowns and Akwa Ibom state governor try to bully people with non existent directives.
