5 years ago, my parents and younger ones sacrificed a lot for me to get a degree. I clearly remember when #10 salt they couldn’t afford to sprinkle on yam.


The level of frustration and pain was obvious on my mum’s face. She was giving up a lot for the sake of one child over many others.
That’s when I decided to look for a way to help even while in school. I never wanted my parents, brothers, sisters or children to go through such again.

4 Determine your potential customers characteristics and behaviours. These can include their temperament, type of friends, what they love and what they generally avoid.

5 What are the types of careers they do? Is your ideal customer someone who is self employed, a businessman or a government employee?

6 What price point can they afford, and what are their buying strategies?
Do they love buying things online, offline or even on credit?

7 Test the data that you now
have, get results and analyse it. Repeat the process as much as possible to get more accurate data.

In an article in Entrepreneur magazine, Brian Tracy, author of the bestseller, The 100 Absolutely Unbreakable Laws of Business Success said,
“The ability to find a customer, sell your product or service to that customer and satisfy the customer so that he buys from you again should be the central focus of all entrepreneurial activity. The greater clarity you have with regards to your ideal customer, the more focused and effective your marketing efforts will be”.

Therefore, you need to dedicate a bit of time to ensure that you do not waste your time targeting the wrong people, and locating your ideal customer. That does not mean you do not need to talk to other people who do not fall within this category.

Patience
Building a large team takes time. Network marketing is not a get-rich-quick scheme.

No top earner become so in a month or two. Infact most of them have been with the same company for at least three years before joining that rank.

This profession requires nurturing before you can start reaping those millions, cruising around the world and sleeping till 11am.

Like a baby, it needs tender and loving care, and consistent attention when young until it can easily take care of itself with little supervision.

Simplicity
This is the key to creating massive duplication in your team. From prospecting to follow-up, and guiding new distributors, every step should be as simple as possible, easy to comprehend and carry out. It should be easy for your immediate downlines to teach their downlines how to replicate the system.

Granted, everyone has something that works for them best, but what you teach should be easy to do.

In network marketing, simple is duplicatable, complex is not.

Get a mentor and coach as soon as possible, start studying the top earners in your company and attend events. You can also take courses, attend trainings and also learn how to sell, especially if your target market are Nigerians.
