BusinessNaija Home Hustles 2020: The Best Way To Save Money From The Little You Earn by Hamzashaf99(op): 2:34pm On Feb 13, 2020
The easiest money saving tips for low income earners

====Never ever save without a reason. That's the surest way to kill your ability to save====

Don't set saving goals without a plan. If you don't have any, create it, but just have one. Saving without a goal will result in spending it eventually without a goal.
Be it to get something you need, pay rent, pay school fees or even an investment, have something in mind you want to achieve by saving.

====Do not save money where it is easily accessible====
It makes it easy for you to just 'take' or 'borrow' from it as soon as you feel you need it, and the temptation to spend money is ever strong in our hearts.

====Make saving a habit====

Save small when you have little, this will make it easier to save when you have large earnings.
Sometimes you find yourself spending all you've saved. Always start over again, and put more effort into it.

====Pay off your debts and avoid accumulating new ones====

Saving is pointless if you have debts that need to be settled, loans to be paid.

=====Invest what you have saved=====

Multiply it instead of letting it sit dormant. You'll be surprised at the sum you have at the end, and investing can even help you reach your savings goals faster.

=====Set short term saving goals=====

I've found that it's easier to commit to saving 500 weekly than saving 5000 at the end of the month. The truth is, people save more successfully when they set a short-term goal.

Once you reach the short-term goal, you’ll have created a habit of saving you can be proud of! You’ll be able to keep going strong with a new goal.

=====Have a budget and include your savings in your budget=====

Budgeting helps you to know where your money goes. Usually within 3 months, you can easily identify a pattern, problem areas, and you can come up with where you can cut back and by how much. How much is spent on housing, debt, utilities, groceries, and entertainment? After that, you can use that money to add to your savings.

What do you do when you really need to save money? I would love to know, so leave a reply below.
BusinessRe: Naija Home Hustles 2020: 7 Fast Steps To A Successful Side Hustle by Hamzashaf99(op):
====Reflect, debrief====

Here’s the entire process:
It’s called Debriefing, and it allows you to properly learn from past mistakes, ensures systemic evolution and paves the way for better future outcomes.
I know I said I won’t describe how it was, but this is one hell of an amazing tool for assessment and planning!

Here’s the common yearly goal/strategy setting session for the new year:
>>>>2019 Big Sexy Audacious plan
>>>>2019 Action Plan
>>>>No reflection of 2019 successes and failures
>>>>2020 Big Sexy Audacious plan
>>>>2020 Action Plan

Here’s how this process is done in the Armed Forces:
>>>>Desired outcome for Mission #1
>>>>Battle plan for Mission #1
>>>>Debrief for Mission #1
>>>>Update of general battle methodology/SOP
>>>>Desired outcome for Mission #2
>>>>Battle plan for Mission #2 (relying on updated battle plans/SOP=better execution and results)

Simple way to conduct your own debrief in 30 mins or less...
>>What were my desired outcomes for the past year?
>>What was my plan of attack?
>>What was the outcome of the method/plan chosen?
>>What was the gap between my desired outcomes and my actual outcome?
>>Why did that gap happen?
>>What benefited me in the pursuit of my desired outcomes and how can I incorporate that into my future plans?

====Lather, rinse and repeat====

Over and over again, until you find the best side hustle for you, and how best to do it.

Almost every successful person begins with two beliefs: "The future can be better than the present. And I have the power to make it so!"

Struggling to start a profitable side hustle?

Do you believe you can make money hustling part-time?

We all know that lack of money is painful, and sometimes even embarrassing.

This is the perfect Nigerian side hustle I know of.

Simple regularization issue. I thought it was one serious case.

Sha, the earlier you do it, the better.
BusinessNaija Home Hustles 2020: 7 Fast Steps To A Successful Side Hustle by Hamzashaf99(op):
====Find your motivation====

Finding the reason why you want a start a side hustle should be your first point of focus. What is pushing you? Is it the money, or freedom, or just to be a place where you can unleash your passion and help others?

I have been having numerous side hustles for five years, and until I got this clear, it was easy for me to stop whenever I faced challenges. This slowed my growth terribly.

Entrepreneurship can a long and stressful journey and being your own boss will come with one great risk: the risk of burning out! Your WHY will be your constant motivation.

You've got to find it, and keep it. If its possible to have a picture of it or something that represents it, print it and put it somewhere you can see it every day.

====Choose the destination====

Start with the end in mind. You will want to always keep this picture in mind.

Where do you want to go? If you do not know where you are going, you also have no way to measure your success.
Set goals to help you know whether you are succeeding or stagnating.
Then work backwards, breaking it down into smaller components until you have an easily achievable action you can take.

There one secret to goal setting not commonly known. Its about setting outcomes instead of goals. Outcomes are these little things you are sure you can achieve by controlling your actions.

Let me make it clearer. Let's say I want to lose weight and look like a model.

Then I set my new year's goal as
>>>lose 15kg from my 60kg.
This is a goal. I have no control over the end goal as I may or may not achieve it. It is possible for me to flunk the actions that will lead to the goal.

Let's say I set an outcome like this.
>>>>Work out everyday for 2 hours to lose at least 2kg each month.

Now I know exactly what I need to do. I have set an outcome I can control. I can afford to workout for 2 hours everyday. That's a highly achievable goal

====Mindset====

Get the right mindset. Work on your mind, thoughts and beliefs.

I had to work really hard on this one. Its way easier to change your physical actions than to change how you think.

You have to get your mindset right first before anything else. Your thoughts, emotions and feelings and improving your inner world is the most important thing!

Getting rid of all the mental blocks from your mind is a MUST. Every damn thing you can think of, even the smallest things that may be blocking your mind from opening up the gateway of abundance!

Step into your power and stand for what you believe in!
People will doubt your ability to succeed. Your mind should be able to withstand the abuse or else you'll give up faster than you can start.

"Having faith is the first step.
Then surround yourself with the right people. On social media, offline too.

You have to truly believe in yourself and in your mission in order to take action. If you don’t have faith in yourself or in what you’re doing, no one else will.

So before anything else, have 100% faith that you can. If you do that, you’ll be unstoppable "- Russell Brunson, Founder Clickfunnels

====Choose the vehicle====
You know what you want, why you want it and you've got your mind ready to receive success.

Next is to know how you will get there. Choosing a successful side hustle idea is one of the most difficult challenge for people, especially if they are new.

Knowing the right thing to do, that will take you to the peak you want.
7 critical questions you must ask are:
>Is it something you enjoy doing?
>Is there an obvious way to make money?
>Does it solve a problem for someone?
>Can you get paid more than once?
>Can you start it quickly?
>Is it low maintenance?
>What are the obstacles and challenges associated with it?

====3...2...1… GO====

Just. Do. It
Use what you have and start where you are. That's what we believe in at Naija Home Hustles.

You do not want to wait until everything is perfectly set before you rock. That's the beauty of a side hustle. It is not actually a major source of income in the beginning, so you can afford to fail.

And that's why most people never get started too: the fear of failure.

100% imperfectly done is better than 0% perfectly not done.

You can learn as you go, so once you know the first step, just take it.

You will want to learn more about your hustle, so you can do better and charge more. There are a lot of resources out there, depending on what you do.

With the internet, finding the information is even more easier.

There's the ever trusty Google, then Facebook groups are good to interact with people just like you.

Quora.com is a good place to get answers, and Naira land if used properly can give you a lot of information about hustling the right way in Naija.
I've done it, so I'm sure it works.

====Hustle the hustle====

Skills x Consistent Action = Results

Knowing what to do is half the struggle. You need to do the work to see the results.
As Warren Buffet says, "Predicting rain doesn't count, building arks does"

Everything that's successful in life has to be built.
There are times you will feel discouraged and tired.

As a side hustler, you are responsible for yourself. There will be no one to tell you what to do, how to do it or when to do it, except if you have a mentor. Even then, you will not be forced to do it. That's why you need a strong motivation and discipline.

Having a mentor is really helpful too, as well as a partner who can hold you accountable..

“The best thing I did was to choose the right heroes.” — Warren Buffett

One of the best advice I received about having a mentor was choosing someone who is just steps ahead of me. Sometimes it’s a much better idea to learn from someone who is just a few steps ahead of you, as they can still relate very well to your personal situation and therefore give well-suited advice.

Let's take football. If I were to take Ronaldo or Messi to personally teach me, its possible I will fail. Reason is they're more likely to teach me professional tactics, while I have not even mastered the basics.

The easiest yet deadliest mistakes in online business: Green snakes under the green grass.

It is very easy to get stuck when you start doing business, especially online. Everyone can relate to such challenges. The founders of create and go, the go-to place for anyone wanting to start a blog faced it. Now they make over $25789 each month. Everyone has a story to tell about their struggles, but a few things are common, and will never change.
These mistakes have stopped others, might be stopping you and will continue to stop people from succeeding. It is usually just one or two, but on close examination, they have the most tremendous effect on the failure or success of your business.

Good news, you can now identify them and prevent others from making them.

1. You’re not putting in the work or you are putting in the wrong work.

2. You need to give it time to work. There’s no other alternative. Most online businesses do not start producing results until 6 months later.

3. To sell product or service you need to get people who need it, prove to them they need it and convince them to part with their money.
If you are running it part-time, that’s more time to put into it.

4. There’s no passion deep down there. Passion leads to dedication and and focus which are necessary to grow. If youve never honestly felt so excited to work on your business to the point you sleep late at night or wake up early, you need to do a rain check.

5. You do not have the necessary skills. Just as a plumber needs to learn how to fix pipes and a surgeon people, you need to learn the RIGHT skills for your trade. Blogging without knowledge of SEO is akin to serving food in a dark hall. No one will see it unless they stumble upon it by mistake.

For each type of business, learn what is necessary.

6. You will need to spend money, whether you have it or not, like it or not. Everyone that has been successful doing business online will tell you they had to pay for one thing or another. It can be a tool, or knowledge, or outsourcing a part of business they could not do themselves or had no time to do.

7. Mentors. The faster you can get one, the more mistakes you can avoid. The faster you will see growth in your business. They serve as guides, friend and pillars of support when you want to just quit.

8. Put God first. Not second or last. When you are receiving help from One is above all, you are guaranteed success.

9. People don’t need what you are giving them. If it doesn’t solve a problem they have, especially on a level that really affects their lives, you are gonna have a hard time getting them to even listen to you. Or you are placing your service or product in front of the wrong people.

10. You are not standing out. If you’ve been online for a while, you understand how harder it is to stand out, get your customers attention and actually keep it. There’s just too much noise out there. Unless you can be heard above it all and can prove you are a good kind of different, you will see no money.

So many mistakes that can be avoided from scratch and as you go on.
Which mistake have you made, and how did you solve it?

For me working with unskilled worker is the major setback ,you cannot do your job alone and this workers are not ready to work all they are after is money no zeal at all ..
Now thats a tough one. Getting people to work t the same level as you is often not easy.

Here is what I would have done, considering I meet people like that.

1. Check that you are not setting the standards too high. If you feel like working 18 hours on your biz is OK for you, most people may not be so committed to doing the same.

2. When employing, find people who are passionate about it. If they really love the work, it won't be hard to make them do it.

3. I would partner with someone who is skilled and passionate if I can. Two efficient cooks are better than 10 inexperienced ones.

That sounds great. Could you be more exact as to the cost and perhaps, the product model. I think I am hooked on this one.
Its a Qlink/QASA product. The small one goes for 150k, the one I use is 350k. Plus installation around 380k.

I had to make some sacrifices initially to get it, but its totally worth the price

Thanks for that. Solar? Are they any good? A close friend bought one last year and it was less than optimum for the purpose. Getting quality product down here is sort of rocket science nowadays. Particularly so when buying a product you are not too versed about.

Mind pointing me to a good one?
Yes. I was initially using a small one just to charge my phone before I got the laptop.

But this one can cost quite a sum, but I can guarantee you that this is one of the best investment I've made this year.

It is a product of QASA, and comes in two sizes.

I use the bigger size, and it can power my entire house and refrigerator.

What I also love is that it charges with both sunlight and electricity.

Keep in mind that that the generating set is like a battery. The more you use it to power more items, the faster it drains.

I only use mine for my most important work.

If the "what ifs" are your roadblocks to starting your hustle, you need to let it go!

Fear is good or bad depending on how you use it. It stops you from making painful decisions and mistakes, but it will also stop you from getting started and moving forward.

Four years ago, I started a side hustle, but the timing was not right, I did not have any experience, time was not enough, money was tight, I made all forms of excuses.

When I realized it was just my fears holding me back, 2 years were gone!

I had to fight it, I failed a lot, and I still have my doubts and fears, even more than before.

But that 1 step ahead that I took and the ones that followed, thats what is placing me in front of you today!

If I can, I 100% believe you can. Start setting yourself free.

What's the greatest fear you need to let go of? How do you overcome your fears? I would love to know, so drop a comment below!

InvestmentRe: Naija Home Hustles 2020 by Hamzashaf99(op):
Why will you need a side hustle?

A side hustle is something you do outside your normal 8-4 day job. Even though the reasons people have a side hustle varies, it usually is one of this:

====Having multiple sources of income is empowering====

It allows you to be self reliant, have more money for expenses and have more time and happiness to actually enjoy the money you’ve made. The extra cash can also go into your emergency savings to serve as a cushion in case of unexpected adversities, making you to feel more secure about the future.

====Settle off debts quickly====

Any extra money made through your side hustle can be put towards paying off debts. In fact having debts is one of the major reasons why people look for extra ways to make money. Having debts can serve as a blockage to achieving financial independence. With extra money coming in through your side hustle, you can pay off the loans faster, and have more rest of mind by being less harassed about payments.

=====You can use the extra money to build wealth faster=====

Any extra money that’s not going into expenses can serve as a form of savings or investment into your future. While this may seem logical, reasonable and easy to do, most people are not able to do so. The more they make, the more they need to spend.

At the time I was earning 10k as a monthly income, I thought getting more was the key to saving. That’s one of the main reasons I started looking for a side hustle.
Then when I had more, it’s like whenever I had any to spare, I needed one more thing. It took a lot of discipline, trial and error before I was able to master the art of delayed gratification.

=====A side hustle can eventually turn into a job you love=====
This will allow you to quit your day job, or just to have an outlet for your passion.
Another shocking benefit is that it allows you to be better and more productive in your day job. When you have more money than you need, your day job no longer feels like a task that must be done.
This allows you the chance to do the work, and enjoy it at the same time without worrying about the money.

=====Do you know that having a side hustle is good for your intellect?=====

Side hustles usually require creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making qualities. The more you think and learn, the more knowledge, wisdom and experience you bag under your belt, and the more you develop as a leader and as a person that can be respected.

=====Meet new people and join new communities=====

Having a successful side hustle can improve your overall personal worth, increase your respect among peers, and help you network with other well respected people.

What is your reason for starting a side hustle? Let me know in the comments below!

Think about this.....

Odd as it may seem, your new year’s plans are usually along the same line as the last year’s, or just a repetition of the previously failed and unaccomplished goals you had last year.
Yet the year ends and....same goals and resolutions and no better you!

So...here’s a way that people in the Armed Forces use in between missions to get the best out of the next battle. I learnt this from a friend just before the New Year, but never gave it much thought.
Yesterday as I was scrolling through my phone as usual, I thought,”well let me try it”, and it was......I’ll let you use it first and judge it for yourself.

What hindered me pursuit of my desired outcomes and how can I mitigate it moving forward?
Most importantly, is there a *higher level principle at play here that can have an overarching effect in the future in my life and business?

See my example below!
InvestmentNaija Home Hustles 2020 by Hamzashaf99(op): 4:28pm On Jan 06, 2020
Long hours, tedious work, not enough money or time, expenses that increase, feeling unbalanced in both life and work! Many things can push you to look for a side hustle.

For me, this is the story of the last straw.
I felt like shit. Both literally and figuratively.
My mind felt like hot, stinking shit! Messed up!
And I had a ton of it on my body at the same time!

After waking by 4 am, rushing like a mad woman to get myself, my two year old son and two months old baby ready for the day, leave the house by 7:30, get a bike on a Monday morning (that’s another story), drop them off, and get to work on time, well, that was how my days went.

That day was different.
I had a lot of work to do, so I could not get back on time to pick them off. I was exhausted!

Fast-forward to the shit moment......
My baby was having diarrhea. I had changed the 3rd set of clothes for the both of us after coming home, and I was about to change his diaper.
Then, another round on my clothes, again.
I sat there for a long while, contemplating whether to scream, cry or just do nothing and be nothing!
Trying to be strong I stood up to get another diaper, and voila, another round on the floor. THAT, WAS WHEN I BROKE DOWN.

I was tired, my toddler was crying to be fed, the younger one was weak in my arms, I WAS IN A PILE OF SHIT! And I also had a tonne of housework to attend to.
All of that for a job that was hardly paying for my expenses and leaving me with no time of my own. Transport, feeding, day-care, family and friends expenses, all of it.
Well, the work will not get done on its own, so I had to pick myself up. There were people relying on me after all.

Before I went to bed that day, I decided, “This was it”. I will no longer settle for less. I loved what I did, but that path was just not for me.
When I was unemployed, I would have given an arm and a leg to get a job. Now it was taking away my time, energy and peace of mind.

That’s how my journey of Side hustles began. I didn’t quit my job, but I tried so many side hustles till I found the ones that stuck well first.
Many of us Nigerians are like that, I asked around in my workplace and it was the same. Making an extra $1000 a month, well just do the calculation. It can even allow you to quit your job.

Now, I want to share my journey with you. The ups and downs, the side hustles that worked and those that didn’t. The ones I focused on to bring me the relief I needed.

Let’s get the party started!

BusinessRe: How can I stop being broke in 2020? by Hamzashaf99(f): 2:55pm On Jan 04, 2020
You are even more fortunate than me. My degree was B.Pharm, not easily marketable online.

So if I were you, I would start this way!

What do I know really well? Must not be much. The little you know is more than what 90% of the planet do.
Where can I find people who need this kind of information?

What sites can I go to to learn more?

Then gradually teach others what you have learnt, where they are.

As you learn more, you can make an eBook about the basics, and sell. You can easily do this in one month.

There, you can also find people who might require your skills. It might be as simple as designing a book cover, but its a start.

Make sure whatever it is you do a good job.
This is necessary so you can get good reviews for future customers.

This is not much, but its a start.

Best wishes.

So, they hung unto his every word, armed with their pens and notepads.

He paused, and you could hear a pin drop, it was that silent.

And he said, "The next ten years are going to be just like the last ten years!
Opportunity mixed with difficulty.
The next ten years, opportunity mixed with difficulty. After recession comes expansion, after expansion, recession. After day comes night, after night, day comes!
And that's never gonna change."

How to predict your future?
This year and this decade is the same.
You will get both opportunities and difficulties.
It may be 50/50, 70/30, 20/20 or any combination.
Where you focus on determines how the next ten years will be.

The next ten, twenty, thirty years, the very next second will go the way you want! Simply put, its all in how you respond to opportunity and difficulties.

1) Do nothing about it. But what if it can't wait?

Lives have been lost to sickness.
Dreams overlooked.
Love has become questionable.
Insults get to you because of lack of money.
Marraiges are broken,
Your children do not get the best that you want for them.
All because of lack of money.

2) You borrow what you need. But next months salary will not increase to include the debt, and your needs will not decrease.
So you start being in debt with no way to pay.

I thought I needed to get paid better, so I got more certificates so I can have a better pay.
NO DIFFERENCE!

This used to be my biggest challenge until I discovered a business system that helps me with extra needs without borrowing or waiting!

5 ways to test your Nigerian home business idea: Will it work in Naija?

Hey there Naijaland-er!
Do you already have the next best idea about the type of job or business you want to do from home to make you money and give you the financial freedom you’ve always wanted?

Imagine getting daily alerts.......just flowing into your account!
Or you’re still searching and scrolling and jotting down “21 great work from home ideas” and you just saw this?
Well, hold on first. And ask this question.

“Will this idea really work from home in Nigeria AND give me the type of money I want to make?”

So, while you are brainstorming and planning and researching ( even possibly consulting all our ancestors for the right answer) do try to also put that perfect idea through the N-HBIT (Naija home business idea test) to see if it will really work out here in the land of our ancestors.

The thing is that Naija is full of opportunities for you as an entrepreneur, but also has so many challenges and problems too in store.
This article will help you to know a lot about one of the worst problems most Nigerians who want to make money from home face, and how to answer this tough question.

And here we go..... how to know if your business idea will work out in Nigeria.

Talent test
Personally, why are you good at? Like this type of things that come to you naturally? It may be singing, designing, writing or even communicating with other people.

Can you explain things well to others, or you can spend your days around kids?
Your talents are things you are just good at and are not learnt. They come naturally. You can use it to see if you can turn it into a home based business, or to see if the business you choose will work here in Nigeria at home.

If you feel you can't figure it out, ask others around you for help.

Skills test
Skills are things you learnt to do well later in life. It can be an improvement on a talent you have, or something you just learn to do deliberately or even without planning to.

You can easily identify these than your talents, but those talents usually play a role in how well you do a particular skill.
A good example of a skill is cooking. You can learn how to be an excellent cook. Having a natural interest in making good food will probably help you do it better than someone who is not really interested in it.

Feasibility test
Can you imagine what will happen if you decide to put your hard earned money, time and resources into a business that was never even going to start off in the first place?

This is one test you MUST do, and helps you know
a) If your idea will work well as a business
b) If it will work well as a business in Nigeria
c) If it will work well as a home business idea for you as an individual, depending on your circumstances.

A business that a student can do, will not necessarily be possible for someone working 8-4, a stay at home mum, or someone who wants to run a traditional business.
Some special requirements for some businesses include a quiet place, focus, and constant electric supply, while another one might need a well populated place where alot of people come and go.
Some ideas will just simply work in Nigeria, or in the place you plan to start it, while some will demand capital, time, skills, or even personality and attitudes you do not have.

Personality Test
If you are an introvert, and you just love hanging out in front of your TV every day, just think of what will happen if you decide to try being a sales rep. It might work, but it will be a painful and long journey.

Does your personality fit with that type of business or job? In fact, do you possess the personality and attitude required to run a successful home business?
According to the balancesmb, common traits amongst successful business owners include
• Motivation
• Self-reliance
• Perseverance
• Initiative
• Ability to deal with uncertainty
If you need someone to drive you before you work, or you can procrastinate a lot, you might need to reconsider choosing a home business idea.

Environmental and cultural test
Imagine selling henna and incense (turaren wuta) in a place like Akwa Ibom.
Or selling wine and beer in Kano.
You get the gist now. Doing the wrong type of business in the wrong place is a recipe for disaster.
Locations, culture of the people you are trying to reach, beliefs, religion are all important.
If you have no customers, then you have no business which means, no money!
No matter how unique and special your idea is, make sure you are taking to the right people and the right place.

So there you have it.
Did you get something you can use here today? Let me know in the comments.

Do you know of any other way to test if a home business idea will fit in the Naija environment? Comment below so it can benefit us all.

BusinessThe Best Way To Make Money Off Your Online Business by Hamzashaf99(op): 7:26am On Aug 04, 2019

These mistakes have stopped others, might be stopping you and will continue to stop others from succeeding.

If you are running it part-time, that’s more time, baby.

The choice depends on you, no one can make a better decision for you than you. It depends on the type of person u are. How much you like the comp plan and the products. How hard you are willing to work the plan too.

I feel longrich is more product based while alliance is more recruitment based.

InvestmentWhat If Dangote Needs Your Help? by Hamzashaf99(op): 8:23am On Jul 20, 2019
What if Dangote needs your help?

Is it hard to imagine? He really does and here’s proof.
Do you know theres just one secret that is making the likes of Dangote, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg the richest of the rich?

The thing is that you are helping them. In two ways.
1) To create passive income. They can sleep all year round and they will not feel it.
2) To diversify. They look for the next best way to make more passive income and you help them by believing it will work and help move your life forward, and so you patronise them.

Really, it doesn’t get simpler than that!

You know all the advice you get as an entrepreneur, new or old, about having a great idea, capital to invest, or learning new skills for 5 years? You don’t need all that. Just find a way people can help you make money and diversify.

These people realized that to change their life, permanently, they must change the world. To change the world, to get people to fight, sacrifice their time to make them rich they must ask for help.

Every time you buy sugar, or cement, now even maggi, Dangote becomes a bit richer through your help. Same with Facebook. Do you know how many adverts you’ll see as you scroll every day? Money into Mark’s pockets.

The thing I love so much about passive income is that anyone can do it, whether you have a lot of money, the next world record breaking idea, or even #10,000. And you can diversify as well.
If you start a small poultry of 10 birds in your backyard, and you sell provisions on a small scale, while being a tailor or having a job, congrats. You now have 3 sources of income, two of which can become passive.

What if you are a tailor and you only do that on weekends? 3+1=4.

You can run an online business part-time while having a full time job. Two ways of making money.

And another good thing about diversifying is that one can help revive another if it is done for a while, or pay for your expenses before the main source can do it.

Another way of diversifying passive income is having an asset that pays you, or whose value can increase over time so when you sell it , you can expect a neat little profit. Like a piece of land or a house which you can rent out, or buying of gold.

What has worked for me, as a stay at home mum, with a toddler and another child on the way, and while having a fulltime internship, is transport business (bikes and buses). This gives me nothing less than 5k on a bad week.

Food processing and storage (egusi, locust beans , soya beans) is an asset-like investment I’m also enjoying. Just buy, process, store and sell later for a good profit. One bag can get you up to 10k, so 50 bags =500k, which you get annually.

I also love writing, so I’m trying to see if it can really make money for a newbie this 2019, with the way the place is full of bloggers.

I am also a networker and in my opinion, it is the best of all the passive income for now (but honestly initially it was the most stressful), and hoping blogging can pay me more with less effort. My first week, I got about #11,000, and I make about 5k on a bad week.

And with a team that is just great, I’m expecting more from the billionaires’ secret of getting others to help them make money.

Another way I know of making passive income in Nigeria here that is really profitable is rental business, from land to houses, halls and event centres. It doesn’t require so much work and the pay is great. Hoping to try it when I have sufficient capital (any advice will be appreciated) and if possible learn a handcraft. Imagine one of our Hausa caps priced at 25-30k.

After all the money and years I’ve spent on looking for online business, I definitely know how painful it is to discover that something so easy can work. I would have appreciated the honesty and advice from all the online “gurus” but the sad truth is that many of them just want to get your money for themselves.

Is there any problem you’re facing now as you’re trying to grow a home business? Drop a comment. I or someone might just have the answer you really need.

Would you be willing to do what it takes if it means you can make at least #10,000 on a bad week? I am currently working with a team of really helpful ladies and guys, so we can better our future. If you want to try your hand, I’m always around on the number on my signature, so you can call or Whatsapp me.

At least you can get a taste of what billionaires like Dangote know.
Investment7 Tricks Of Making Passive Income You Cant Afford To Miss In 2019 by Hamzashaf99(op): 9:24pm On Jul 16, 2019
A lot of things can push you to look for extra ways to make money from home, part or full time, online or offline, from home or outside.
As a student first, then a stay at home mum and now a government employee. I can relate with ALL, well, almost all of the reasons.
The first, make extra money to help with the peanuts my parents could get to support my education
Then a way to help my younger ones through school,
Followed by wanting to have time to be a good mom, and after getting a job, whoops.
You never know what salary earners are going through until you go through it.
Salary is really never enough, and you have no control over your life. To go to the hospital, you have to BEG for time off.
So what does this have to do with making passive income in Nigeria?
Passive income is money that comes in with little effort, or no effort
Each day, our responsibilities increase, expenses increase, money and time become less. So you either look for a way to get more and make things better or bury your head in the sand like an ostrich and assume everything will be alright.

With little time, most of us turn to look for lucrative part time hustles, especially online, and then try and fail. I know because I’ve done that for years.
So from experience, now what should you look for in any part time hustle especially if you’re new
• Not expensive to start (free options don’t work, or take sooo long) or if you have enough capital, its better to start big.
• Must work in Nigeria, especially for a stay at home mum (this excludes surveys, transcription, virtual assistant etc)
• Time. You do not want to spend 7 hours every day on a part-time hustle. Or wait a year before it starts paying.
• Market; it must make profit, or income or whatever=large market or profit margin.

What can you do? The best, easiest passive income sources for anyone in Nigeria that are still working in 2019
• Transport business: cars, bikes, bikes barrows. Depends mostly on your capacity and locality
• Rental property: shops, apartments, land, event centres. Neat profit usually yearly.
• Stocks and bonds
• Long term savings account, but it has a low return rate compared to the others.
• Or take it online. The advantages are the high profit margin, more choices in passive income field, and greater ease of doing business. A global market is definitely not a bad thing too.
• The downside: It takes a lot of time, skills, and capital usually.
• Blogging
• Information products in the form of eBooks, courses
• Network marketing (definitely the fastest paying here)
• Affiliate marketing
• eCommerce
• Royalties from books, movies or songs you publish.

So what has worked for you so far this year? Help us with your ideas.

Investment5 Old-but-true Ways You Can Really Make Money From Home by Hamzashaf99(op): 11:11pm On Jul 04, 2019
Transcriptionist, freelancer, website designer, e-commerce......huh

How many lists of “55 work from home ideas for stay at home mums” have you seen? And how long have you been searching and trying to find the best one for yourself?

While these may be lucrative work from home ideas for foreigners, how many of us Nigerians have the skills and ideal business environment to really make money from these jobs?

And the fact is that most of them are not even ideal for a stay at home mum here in Nigeria because of their nature, the market, the type of people, in fact even the religions play a hand in it.

Fortunately, we have our own “brand” of work from home jobs and businesses which are just ideal and perfect for Nigerian stay at home mums, so you can now boast that you are also making money from home while you are actually seeing that money in your hands.

What is the perfect Work from home job for the Nigerian stay at home mum?

If other people are saying that working from home is not easy, speaking from experience, being a naija stay at home mum is two or three times that work.
You probably know from experience too that most of the jobs promoted need things most of us do not have to really work as home business ideas in Nigeria.

Capital, special knowledge and skills, a working computer with 24 hours light and extra fast internet connection, and time...... sometimes to learn new skills, or just for the money to start flowing in.

Imagine having a toddler, who is teething, and a deadline for an article to meet, information about SEO to go through, meals to cook, cleaning, laundry and a wedding to attend the next day!

All while you are stressed about money you have not been making.
If you know, you know!

Let’s get to the main gist. No or low capital business ideas for home for Nigerian mums.

This is a very short list, and just for things that require no or very small capital while they have been known to work from home as business. Hopefully, it will be updated soon to include others that work so you can have a whole lot to choose from if one of them is not a fit for you.

Handcrafts; Making and reselling
Most Nigerian women are fortunate to learn one form of handcraft or another at a point in our lives. It can be beads or jewellery making, soap making, tailoring, making of bags.....the list is endless.
By charging for your goods and services, you can use knowledge and skills you already have, a small amount of money, make such items at home at your leisure and sell it to people who need it offline or online. You can also sell to other people who can resell it for profit.
Making and reselling of handcrafts is a good way to make money from home as a Nigerian mum because you do it at your own time and pace, your children can get involved and learn it too, and it can fetch you a decent amount of money depending on what you make, how much you charge for it and the quality.
The start-up capital is also not much, and no one controls your time so you can be with your kids as often as they need you.
