Question: I have a problem. Every time I come up to a girl I like, it's as though in my mind I already know what say and how to get her to smile. But when I actually talk to a girl, I get too nervous for words and I start to stutter and I forget how to carry on the conversation at all! If you could help me out, that'd be great. Answer: First of all, this is a really common problem. To a certain extent, we all face fear and nervousness when we talk to women or approach them. There are 4 things you can do: 1. You need to have a lot more practice. Practice talking to every woman around you until it's not so scary. Say "hi" or just ask any question under the sun. This will desensitize you to the process of interacting with women. 2. Practice asking the questions OUT LOUD, when you alone. Keep preparing. Memorize a few questions or routines and say them out loud 20 times a day. The more you feel prepared, the more you will be prepared. Having said what you have to say will give you confidence. 3. Watch and NOT approach. For a few weeks when you see a girl you want to talk to, consciously DO NOT approach her. Instead, run a practice of what you COULD say in your mind instead. Say those things out loud, later, when you are alone. This again will help it feel natural when you actually do it. 4. Do fear-reducing exercises. If panic or anxiety is an issue, deal with it. Do deep breathing exercises, visualize yourself being calmer, and create a mental "happy place" to help deal with fear. Why You Should Be Careful When Dating Babes From Broken Homes Be extremely careful when dealing with a woman who grew up in a family where the father walked out at a tender age. At an early age, the father, the dominant male figure in the house, is symbolic of his gender. Abandonment creates issues of guilt in the child, and does a number on the girl's ability to trust men and her unconscious opinion of men on the whole. If the mother shields the girl from the full impact of the blow by not being bitter and by being careful not to tarnish the father image, or if the girl simply gets over it, then so be it. However, if the mother became bitter, then that bitterness tends to pass on to the daughter. The daughter, in turn, later goes on to test men rigorously, trying to make them jump through burning hoops before she lets down her guard, because at a young age, her trust in men was shaken. However, she is not necessarily attracted to the men who put up with her bullshit and stick to her even though she blows hot one minute, and cold air he next. Women who have this problem have serious baggage, and you have to decide if she is worth it. If you decide that she is, you have to walk a tightrope. Your behavior should subtly convey that you will not hurt her, but do not jump through her hoops. Never be more than 5 minutes late for a date, and if you say you will call at a certain time, call at exactly that time. But if she is late do not wait for her, and when she is acting coldly, do not tolerate her mood swings. In other words, you have to still be a challenge, but be trustworthy. It is a delicate balance, and few can master it. Gentlemen, this is from personal experience with such women. When you are talking to a girl and she tells you that her father walked out when she was little, proceed with extreme caution. source: www.nigerianinterest..co.id/2016/08/why-you-should-be-careful-when-dating.html?m=0 |

3 Reasons Why Beautiful Women Test Men Most women, especially beautiful women who are accustomed to being approached all the time, devise ways to try to "tell things" about men by observing certain aspects of their behavior, or by telling them things and judging them according to how they react. In short, women 'test' men, especially ones who they feel some attraction to,sometimes knowingly, sometimes not. But why? The reasons are as follows: 1) Defense Mechanism Women do not like to be taken for granted. Do you know what is the single most common piece of advice that women give each other? "Don't make yourself too available." If all the tests and games that women play could be represented as a pyramid, with each level depending on the one below it, (something like Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs) then this phrase would form the base of the pyramid. Most female tricks rest on this fundamental principle. One of the greatest fears that a woman has is that she will give her heart to a man too easily, and that he will take her for granted and break her heart. Women confuse men, feign disinterest and act evasive at times in order to try to communicate to men that they cannot be taken for granted. In case you did not know, women absolutely hate to be taken for granted. If you remember anything from this article, remember that. 2) Screening Process As any good article will tell you, women are attracted to men who are a challenge and are disinterested in men who they think like them too much, or who are needy. Women who can afford to be very selective are attracted to men whose attention they cannot take for granted. This makes a man different than the rest of her hapless admirers who flatter her incessantly. Women sometimes test men to find out what category a man fits in. If a woman cancels on a man, and she likes him, she may tell him that she is very sorry and that she will call him and make it up to him. Then, instead of calling, she sits back and waits to see what he will do. If he calls within three days to either set up another date or to ask why she didn't call, or if he calls at all within three days for any reason, he has failed. If he calls after three days, he has barely passed, it is up to her discretion. If he simply refuses to call until she contacts him, then he has aced the test with flying colors. The idea is that the needy guy is insecure and needs assurance, so he calls too soon. The average guy calls after three days, he's neither here nor there. The real man doesn't call until he hears from her because he is patient, secure, has his own life, and knows that the ball is in her court. Significance of John Kerry's Visit to Sokoto Sokoto - Early this week, US Secretary of State, John Kerry was in Nigeria and met with President Muhammadu Buhari and the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Sa'ad III. The visit was Kerry's third to Nigeria in the past 20 months. The first time Kerry was in Nigeria as Secretary of State, he was in Lagos, which is in the South and the commercial capital of Nigeria obviously to strengthen economic relations between US and Nigeria. The second time, Kerry flew straight to Abuja, which is in the centre and the political capital of Nigeria, to meet with Buhari as President Barack Obama's envoy. But the third time Kerry visited Nigeria in his official capacity, he headed first to Sokoto, which is in the North. In Sokoto, Kerry paid a courtesy call to the Sultan who is the most powerful Muslim in the country and the supreme leader of Nigeria's Muslim community. This visit shows a desire of the United States of America to directly interface and work with the Muslim community. Analysing Kerry's speech in Sokoto, it can be clearly seen his message was targeted at Nigerians in general telling us what we have been doing well and what needed to be improved upon. Nothing he said came as a surprise or was of great an importance as to make it necessary for him to be physically present In Sokoto. However, Kerry was in Sokoto with the approval of Obama who is renowned for his liberal leanings towards Muslims globally, which lends support to the idea Kerry's visit to Sultan Sa'ad III was in accordance with the desire of United State of America to hobnob with the Muslim community in Nigeria. ‘ Doctor’ in EFCC Net Over N 6.7m Love Scam The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested one Chike Nnaemeka, alias Dr. Justified Isioma Nnaemeka Emerald, for conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of about N6.7million. Nnaemeka, who claimed to be a gynaecologist, allegedly collected the sum of money, under different requests, from his victim, Ani Nkechi Joy, an employee of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, after she was introduced to him by one of her classmates at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State. Following their meeting, the suspect, who also claimed to be an orphan and a lone Prince of Ihekpe Kingdom in Ogwuashi-Uku, Delta State, was joined in a traditional wedding with the victim on June 6, 2015. In her petition, the complainant said: ‘‘During the wedding preparation, Justified brought up so many stories bordering on cultural issues that I or anyone from my family is not supposed to visit his home town until after my marriage. He also said that the tradition of his place as a lone Prince demands that I sponsor every financial aspect of the traditional marriage, but that he would refund me to the last one Naira I spent.” However, the complainant became ensnared in the suspect’s web of lies when he claimed to have properties that both Zenith Bank Plc and Diamond Bank Plc were purportedly interested in. The suspect was said to have shown the complainant some documents to the properties, while also requesting her to provide some money to enable him complete the process. Unsuspectingly, the complainant allegedly transferred some amounts of money to the suspect, after being assured that he would refund her. But on December 23, 2015, the suspect allegedly left the house on the pretence that he was going to sign the agreement papers with the respective bank to finalise the transaction. He, however, did not return home until December 29, 2015. According to the complainant, the suspect allegedly claimed that the lawyer to the bank had died and that his lawyer would not allow anyone else to sign the papers, except a legal practitioner. At this stage, the complainant became suspicious and made frantic efforts to inquire about the suspect’s real identity and what he does for a living from some of his acquaintances. Also, the complainant alleged that the suspect stole the sum of $3000 belonging to her boss. When the complainant asked the suspect about the missing money, the suspect allegedly said that the Chief Priest of his village said it was aspirit that stole it. Meanwhile, investigation has revealed that the suspect, who is married to another woman who had three children for him, also lied that his mother passed on some years back. The suspect will soon be charged to court, after investigation is concluded. Source: www.nigerianinterest..is/2016/08/doctor-in-efcc-net-over-n-67m-love-scam.html?m=1 |
EKITI - An Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti on Thursday declined to grant an ex-parte order sought by the Ekiti state government to restrain EFCC from investigating the finances of the state. The Nigerian Interest reports that Justice Cornelius Akintayo refused to grant the order on the grounds that all the defendants in thecase must first be put on notice to enable them prepare for their defence at the court. The judge consequently adjourned the suit to August 23 and ordered all parties in the suit to appear before him when the motion on notice would be heard. The suit was filed by Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Owoseni Ajayi, to stop the impending investigation of the accounts of the state government by the anti graft agency. Another relief sought by the plaintiffs was an order stopping the arrest of the Commissioner for Finance, Accountant General and the managers of the banks in which the state has commitments. Defendants in the suit including the Speaker of the House of Assembly, EFCC, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Department of State Services (DSS), Commissioner for Finance, Accountant General and five banks doing business with state government and the managers of those banks. The plaintiffs were represented by J. Ejelonu, a lawyer in the chambers of the Attorney General held brief for Ahmed Raji (SAN) who argued the motion ex parte. Commenting on the ruling,, a legal practitioner, Kolade Ilesanmi, who came for another matter in the same court commended Justice Akintayo for rejecting the motion to prevent the anti-grant agencies from investigating Ekiti government accounts. “Myself and another counsel, Abubakar Ajibade, are here in the same court for different matters but we stood up as friends of the Court and commend the judge for the ruling. “We also adverted the minds of the Court to similar case before the Akwa Ibom High Court in which the judge granted a motion Exparte which has now landed him trouble with the National Judicial Council (NJC). “From the legal point of view, any matter involving federal institutions is usually heard by the Federal High Court save for the matters that border on Fundamental Rights enforcement in which both the Federal High Courts and State High Courts are seized with jurisdiction”, he said Source: www.nigerianinterest..is/2016/08/fayose-fails-in-bid-to-stop-efcc-from_18.html?m=1 cc: lalasticlala |

*FCT Motorists Decry Abandoned Bridge Projects* ABUJA – Motorists in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, especially those plying the Abuja- Keffi express way yesterday decried the abandonment of major bridge projects expected to ease traffic gridlock between the city centre and several satellite towns. They lamented the abandoned bridges saying that the projects, if completed will not only make movement easier for motorists but also add value to the well-being of residents of Abuja. A visit to the construction site of the popular AYA bridge expected to link the city-centre to other parts of the FCT show that work has been suspended. Some motorists who spoke with Nigerian Interest said the recurrent traffic jams that occur along Nyanya, Mararaba, New Nyanya, and Masaka roads, especially in the morning and evening hours of weekdays are caused by the abandoned bridge project. Dennis Umeh, a commercial motorist who plies Abuja-Keffi route, called for government attention saying that the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA, should concentrate on completing on-going abandoned bridge projects before initiating new ones. “The FCDA should rise to its mandate and complete abandoned brigdes before beginning fresh ones. Even if there are issues with contractors, they should resolve it because the masses are becoming more and more impatient with the government.” He lamented. Others said the abandoned AYA bridge which links the city centre with other parts of FCT has turned nightmare for workers who transit to work from Abuja-Keffi express way because of the traffic gridlocked experienced along that axis on a daily basis. They described the abandonment as waste of public fund since the benefits of the projects are neither enjoyed by motorists nor residents. A staff of FCDA, who spoke under anonymity, identified dwindling revenue of the federal government among reasons some ongoing bridge projects could not be completed. He however appealed to motorists to exercise patience SOURCE: www.nigerianinterest..co.id/2016/08/fct-motorists-decry-abandoned-bridge.html?m=1 cc: lalasticlala |
Majority of US Youths Reject Trump - Poll A report on Tuesday in Washington said majority of U.S. youths had rejected Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump’s strategy of wooing young supporters of Bernie Sanders, former Democratic presidential candidate. The latest USA Today/Rock-the-Vote poll released showed that in spite of his strategy of patching bipartisan coalition by appealing to young supporters of Sanders, a new poll found that his populist play had failed among millennial. The poll found that while 56 per cent of voters under 35 years, say they would vote for Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, one in five in this age group support Trump. It added that Clinton trounced Trump among Sanders’ supporters, with 72 per cent, supporting the former Secretary of State and 11 per cent backing Trump. U.S. Census Bureau data released in April showed that the number of the millennial generation, now 18 years to 34 years, was estimated to be 75.4 million. USA Today and Rock vote showed that young adults may reject the Republican nominee at an unprecedented rate during this election cycle. According to the poll, Trump’s support among young voters was even lower than the estimated 32 per cent of support Richard Nixon received among 18years-to-29-year old voters in 1972 amid widespread protest against the Vietnam War. Meanwhile, the poll offered the latest evidence for verifying the widely perceived allegation that a majority of supporters of both nominees may base their allegiance not on approval of their nominee but rejection of the other. According to the poll, 54 per cent of Trump supporters and 51 per cent of Clinton supporters say one of the main reasons they back the nominee is to keep the other out of the White House.
