Yes no one owes you in this life. But we should learn never to forget people that encouraged us when we were still struggling in life, it's not like it's a right or something but I think it's morally right so that others would be encouraged to give a helping hand. It's not just about giving out money or material things but checking on them, sending them messages of hope etc goes a long way.

If only PDP followers and Jonathan's disciples were telling him the truth when he was in power maybe we wouldn't have been in this mess but they kept on singing his praises, it's not like Jonathan's era was the best of Nigerians were even enjoying under Jonathan . The fact is it was glaring that under Jonathan, there was broad day light corruption, terrorism was on the increase even rise in foodstuffs including petrol so we needed a change but we never knew that it would be worse than it was.

And again Buhari was the only candidate whose integrity pedigree had a selling point. No one should blame Tinubu or APC progressives like us, at least it's better we are speaking out now and saying the truth about the mess going in Buhari's Government.

Southern Kaduna: It Is Unreasonable to Kill Because of Religion – Bisi Yusuf

A lawmaker in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Bisi Yusuf is not happy with the current killings in Southern part of Kaduna State.
In this interview, the lawmaker, who represents Alimosho Constituency 1, urged the people to sheath their swords and embrace peace.
The lawmaker, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts (Local, also condemns the perceived interference in religious affairs by the government and speaks on others matte

My fundamental answer to the question is that be it religious, social or otherwise, I don’t see why we should be killing one another at this particular time. For the Federal Government and the Governor of Kaduna State, I would not say they have not done anything about it. It is not every time that the government speaks without doing something underground. I believe they might have been doing some things underground, but they should accelerate it. Killing is a grave act and it pains me. Most parts of the country are not safe; the militants in the Niger Delta, the Boko Haram in the north and the Kaduna killings are not good for the country. God hates blood shedding and all hands should be on deck to put it in check. I am not happy about the killings at all.

Is this not a challenge to our security in Nigeria and the need for state police?

State police is definitely the answer. The total number of policemen in the country is not enough to protect the number of people in the country. What is the population of Nigeria, over 170 million, and what is the number of police that are employed to take care of them? No matter how benevolent the government of a country may be, when security is not put in proper perspective, there would be problem and the government would not be able to do what they want to do. I am not saying they are not trying, but they should increase the tempo. I heard that they recently employed 10,000 policemen; but will that solve any problem. The Federal Government should allow each state of the federation to have state police.

There is possibility of a reprisal attack by the people of Southern Kaduna

…I just want to appeal to them not to do that, it is just an appeal.

You once appealed to the Sole Administrators of Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state to think out of the box. To what extent have they done this?

You would notice that the local councils have improved their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and they now concentrate on blocking loopholes. This could not be done once, it is a gradual process. My findings are in the report of my committee, which I would soon submit to the House for debate.

What is your advice to them in 2017?

They should be pro-active, and complement the efforts of the state government. They should be close to the people and people should see them complementing the efforts of the state government and they should work with the state government for development purposes.
What

People believe that capital punishment is going out of fashion, but the Lagos State House of Assembly recently passed a law imposing death sentence on kidnappers. Is this not retrogressive?

What do you expect us to do, when kidnapping is driving investors away from the country. Even the Bible and Quran say those who kill should be killed. What the law even states is that it is those, whose captives die in custody that would be killed.

Just recently, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye stepped down over a directive by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) Do you think the government should interfere in religious matters?

I am happy about this question. What does the government have to do with religion. I am a Muslim, but I believe that you cannot use an imperfect law to correct a perfect law. The law of God is perfect unlike that of man. I am not happy about this at all. A spiritually anointed person would continue to function until he dies unless he willingly steps down. His retirement would even be inspired by God; this is my personal opinion. It would make some radical pastors and imams revolt.

Would you advice the religious bodies to go to court over this?

Well, it is left for them. Would you tell the Chief Imam of Mecca in Saudi Arabia to retire. Why would you say somebody should step down as a pastor or imam, when God is still using him? Our President is 74 years old, would anybody ask him not to contest for a second term if he so wishes. Age is a thing of the mind.

Many people believe that the 2017 budget of Lagos State, which is N812 Billion is too ambitious based on past experiences

…That is a fallacy. When we were reviewing the activities of the past year, we discovered that no state government in Nigeria performed like the Lagos State Government. It is not just by mouth, it is physical, the manifestation is there. Everywhere you go, you see that there is new Lagos with a new look. With this year’s budget, you would see the results. Even N1 Trillion is not enough to solve the problem of the state in one year. I know we will get there.

EducationRe: OAU Vs UI, Which Is The Best? by Handsomecole(m): 8:54am On Jan 23, 2017
I've Carefully read most comments. I have been to UI before, the major reason some people say UI is better than OAU is the fact that UI environment is serene and quite , their hostels better managed and the fact that it's a Premier University and all these are not criteria to say UI is better than OAU.

let's face the fact Obafemi Awolowo University , remains the only public higher institution in Nigeria which your security is guaranteed. It remains the only school which people can walk freely day and night without any fear or form of harrasment .

Structure wise, we all know that , it's most beautiful campus in Africa. Even the school gates alone will tell you more.

Talk about socio-political and intellectual consciousness every OAU student is sound in that aspect and cannot be intimidated by anyone. It remains the school that Political leaders are scared off because the students cannot be cajoled.
Talk about social life, OAU is too academic inclined but not withstanding the social life is always there, for those who are interested. We've had so many notable celebrities in music and movie both upcoming and established who graduated from OAU, the likes of Chinko, Arole, etc.

Politicians nko!!! It's on record that the major contestants in Ondo election graduated from OAU,infact major political office holders in Ondo State are products of OAU, Senator Oluremi Tinubu is a product of OAU and many others no school in Nigeria can have such.

Academic wise, that's where you get the "hitler" treatment, it's fire for fire. You compete among the best of the best, you get smoked in fire we have many students who drop out from OAU simply because of the Academic stress. No lecturer asks for bribe or watever to pass, it's strictly by what you know.

Fashion wise, when you step into OAU u have this feel like ure in a foreign University due to their unique fashion sense , infact we have some quite number of whites as students in OAU.

OAU might have some management problems and administrative problems most especially in result processing which I must admit.

But, the fact is UI has never and never be better than OAU. The Obafemi Awolowo University "Oba Awon University "

Go and ask recruiters, they will tell you more.

EducationKatsina University Reacts Says Memo targeted Muslims not Christains by Handsomecole(op): 1:34pm On Jan 22, 2017
Katsina University says memo on religious groups on campus targeted at Muslims, not
Christians.

The authorities of the Umaru Yar’Ádua University, Katsina, have denied discriminating against
Christian students in the approval granted a students religious association to operate on its
campus.
The Acting Dean of Student Affairs of the University, Sulaiman Kankara, had in January 17
memo informed students of a new guideline for the registration of clubs and associations in
the institution.
In the circular, Dr. Kankara indicated that participation in clubs and associations, including
departmental ones, were strictly optional and that no student should be compelled to pay
dues.
He also outlawed the formation of tribal and local government associations in the university.
But the controversial part of the memo which made the document to go viral was the dean’s
pronouncement that the “Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) is the only religious
association allowed to operate on campus.”
After the memo was shared on social media, the university came under ferocious attacks from
many Nigerians, with some commentators saying the guideline was part of government’s plot
to Islamise Nigeria.
But when contacted on Sunday morning, Dr. Kankara said that aspect of the guideline was
actually targeted at Islamic groups which were beginning to mushroom on campus, creating
division among students of the same faith.
The dean said, “Actually there is one misconception in the memo. But the fact of the matter is
that in Umaru Yar’Ádua University, there is no association known as Christian Students
Association.
“There is one religious association and subsidiary Islamic students associations like the
Tijjanniya Students Movement in Nigeria, Academic Forum of Islamic Movement in Nigeria and
many associations like that.
“They are Islamic students association. So what we want is to have a single union which will be
the mouthpiece of muslim students and that is the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria.
“It has nothing to do with any Christian group because up till now, I have not received any
application requesting registration of Christian Students Society.
“And once they do that, we are ready to register them. Even as at last week, we said the two
religious group to be recognised by the university will be the Muslim one and one from
Christian side.
“Up till now we are to receive any application for the registration of any Christian association in
the university from any group.”

PropertiesRe: Should I Dispose My Mowe Property And Move To Ikorodu? by Handsomecole(m): 12:18pm On Jan 22, 2017
Ikorodu used to be like Mowe. I for one we moved into our house in Ikorodu when there wasn't even an electric pole not talk of electricity using my area ( Agric- Asolo and Isawo axis ) as an example . The roads were also terrible with no sign of development with bushes everywhere.

But 20 years down the line Ikorodu is fast developing. Today we have a fairly stable power supply , even when other parts of the country complain of light we have staedy light makes me wonder. ( that's when there's no fault from transmission). The BRT system is also wonderful too. Ambode also plans to dualize the Agric Isawo raod to connect to Ibadan and construct an international bus-park.

Except for the crime rates in some areas like Ibeshe etc.

A peace of land here using my area as an example used to cost around 80-200 and 500 depending on the area but now it's not less than a million naira.

In a nutshell I advise u stay in Mowe it will surely develop , if you have the cash u can dispose off like u said and move to Ikorodu.

As a Christian I say RIP and God have mercy on his soul.
As a law abiding democratic citizen and an intellectually driven proud Igbo man from the South East of this Great country Nigeria, I would say the boy died for nothing out of sheer ignorance and his blood will be on Nnamdi Kanu, who has succeeded in spreading "hate", "slander" and "ignorance" in the name of Biafra struggle.

Talking about the Rally?? How does Trump come into the issue of Biafra?? These IPOB people are so myopic and intentionally stupid in their approach to Biafra struggle. They hate Obama because he spoke against Jonathan's Tenure as President. Now it's the same IPOB that claim Nigeria is a zoo, yet they will still sympathise and support people who don't even believe in their struggle. Both Obama, Trump and Jonathan all believe in one Nigeria.
Will Trump just wake one day and support Biafra, it can never ever happen??
Why can't they use their brain and stop dying foolishly. Their Nnamdi Kanu is enjoying in a five start prison, while people are dying out of Ignorance, God will punish him wherever he is he too must die!!!

We have a Northerner in power, he is in charge, he will continue to sanction your killing and no court on earth will charge him not now not ever. That's a fact!!!

If you want Biafra, get ur political acts right in the country, form a united political front to get to power, then you can make a move.
