About Madugu, I think they should retain him....
I admit he isn't that tactically sound, but somehow, he knows how to make adjustment... That was evident in his subs today and the changes to the lineup that beat Zambia...
Also, I noticed from the post/pre match interview, dressing room and training videos that he seem to have a good relationship with his players despite his habit of screaming at them on the touchline...
It's better he continues, except the NFF can hire a more competent coach.... Knowing the NFF, if they refuse to give him a contract, they will likely go for a grade J foreign coach and we will be back to square one
How did we all arrive at this "Madugu is not tactically sound" conclusion sef?
This man just won us the Afcon.. Something tactically sound Waldrum couldn't do undecided

Is it the color of his skin?..

Now that you've seen the bodies and made your conclusions.. What are you going to do about it? undecided
Sharing their dead bodies is disrespectful to them and their families.. How would you feel if you see your close relative or friend's mutilated body flying around social media, just so some people can get "informed"?

The headline "100 soldiers were killed yesterday" and a beautiful writeup glorifying the heroics acts of the bandits should be enough to make you happy.
The photos are not necessary

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Has Shallow Knowledge Of Economy, Governance – Presidency by Hanibal(m): 7:13am On Jun 10, 2025
AerialMapper:
An organised manner means dealing with the corruption behind the subsidy and not the subsidey itself!

Everyone knows the subsidy claim was grossly inflated. The country was not consuming the daily amount of products quoted and this figure was the basis for the subsidy calculation. If this was tackled, then it would have dropped to payment drastically.

All Obi is saying is that you cannot remove the subsidy and float the naira at once thereby burdening the citizens! What Obi is saying is that other governments had programmes that they used the savings for. There was PTF and there was SURE P... this government has given more money to the states from the savings but this is clearly not working. Youve just made richer governors . Then a huge chunk has gone to a contract to the company of your bosom friend. Clearly, the savings were not for the benefit of the people but to coerce the governors for their support (which is working) and enrich cronies.
If Obi had been able to articulate his ideas this way... Twitter would be on a frenzy by now.
I put it to you, you'll make a far better president than Obi.
At the very least, you can clearly tell us what you think should have been done!
Obi could not!

There's nothing happening today that has not happened before.
But the internet has empowered people to sensationalize everything... If person wife get miscarriage today, E go be Tinubu fault.

As far back as 2008, I wrote a particular NECO paper, exam commenced at 7pm (in Akure) ... Why? The paper leaked and they (NECO) had to do emergency reprint.
Is it ideal? No!
Should things be better? Certainly!

You should make a decision to be different.

You should have countered my opinion with facts without thinking I'm attacking your town or putting down your king.. That way we can both learn.

Due to our defence and midfield deficiency,3-5-2 remains our best formation.
We don't have midfield deficiencies..

It's the super eagles coaches for whatever reason year on year are refusing to play more than 2 midfielders at a time.
For whatever reason... that defies logic

It's annoying, we will be playing against players from Ashanti kotoko and our midfield will be overrun

I wish a journalist will ask the reason(s) for this anomaly someday

people harping on that miss seem to forget that he still scored in that match after that action which still didn't help at all as we were bundled out of the tournament. Despite all his achievements his national team career was reduced to an inconsequential miss at the world stage. Crazy what sentiments can do.
That miss was not inconsequential, we needed just 3 points to qualify from the group.

Match ended in a draw.
If he had scored into that open goal, who knows... We would have gone ahead to get the much needed 3 points.

You people should stop rewriting history abeg undecided

Schick impressed when Boniface was injured
Alonso can't just drop Schick for Boniface now that he is back from injury
He lost against Bayern 3-0

Boniface was still left on the bench throughout.

These cannot be down to Schick's form... Something else is going on

He cannot become so bad that he can't get in the team 3 straight matches

TheGoodJoe:
Definitely, he can't play the same pattern as he did at Barca because of different players and change of style.

The pressing system by teams is at a higher intensity as it was in the past. Also, teams have learnt to play and defend the against the system. So it can never be the same.

What is important is that most teams adopted different areas of the system. So no one can say something that is being adopted and adapted to is dying. It is actually growing.
Baba if something has to be "modified and adapted" before it can work, it means the original version is no longer effective a system that is no longer effective is at best "dying" of not dead you admit that the man who made it popular in the modern era has even had to "adapt".. , no one is arguing Guardiola's brilliance, but you see that tikitaka. E don cast! tikitaka. E don cast!

How? A lot of teams in England have adopted the philosophies of the system. Football has changed for ever. Joyfully your wish can't come true.
This life comes in cycles, no change lasts forever, we will always recycle systems and ideas.
Even Guardiola no longer play the tikitaka he played in his Barcelona days and early Man City years..

He now plays route one football sometimes just to get over the line.

How true is this post?

"How Career Choices Can Either Make or Mar Your Professional Life

This is Ademola Lookman and Tammy Abraham.

Ademola Lookman rejected the England Three Lions offer to play for England and decided to commit his international career to Nigeria.

Tammy Abraham rejected all the offer from Nigeria to play for Super Eagles and decided to play for England.

While Ademola Lookman is currently in the pole position of becoming the next African Footballer of the Year, in the Ballon D'or who came 14th and is currently in the apex of his career but in the case of Tammy Abraham he is regretting his decision for committing his international career to England where he is no longer considered and can no longer be invited because of obvious reasons.

Now Tammy Abraham is pleading for a chance to play for Super Eagles of Nigeria."
Lookman did not reject England please... Die the thought.
If he was playing like he is now 4 years ago, he wouldn't have given us a thought, not a chance!
You think if Lookman was a starter at Chelsea the way Abraham was, he would still have chosen us? grin
