In the current set up onyeka is not competing with Nwakali, his competition is Ndidi ! And Nwakali has no competition (at what he does) in this AFCON squad.

Well I dare say you are correct with a little modification though which is they probably do not need his skill set. Not every team will need an Nwakali kind of player, he is the type of player that can only thrive in specific tactical setups.
