A team got 9 points on the bounce, scoring 10 goals and conceding only 2 in the process, yet some people are using all kinds of negative grammar to qualify the coach.

Oga if you read what I wrote in context, you will understand that I didn't deny that these things actually do happen. The reason I made an example of myself is to explain the fact that Nigeria is not bad 100% as you people will want to make the outside world believe.
I say again, we have our problems, we should be better, but Nigeria is not hell!
And everyone doesn't live in poverty, every mother doesn't die in child birth, not every village town and city are insecure.
You don't need to enlighten me on anything concerning Nigeria, I live here! And I'm not blind
I don't need any European stats to enlighten me, some of these damning statisticians haven't even ever step foot on Nigerian soil.

All these people drawing up every bad index available in the book about Nigeria are the reason Americans will be asking us if giraffes run around on our streets or if we live on trees.
Nigeria is poor (in certain context), corrupt yes, etc etc.
But the system is not as bad as those damning indexes paint it.
Damn it people go through the education system you guys are condemning , travel out of this country and excel.
I have lived all my life in Nigeria about 3 decades, and a bullet hasn't been aimed at me before, I haven't been robbed before, neither have I witnessed one .
I have a large extended family and non have died in child birth.
I do not deny that some places are insecure or our educational system should be better or the health system should be better.
But for heaven's sake! Stop making it sound as if we are in hell! We can be better , but hell we are not as terrible !!

Tah! I don't believe that, the problem we had with Elder Echejile is that he contributes next to nothing to the attack, I can't remember a match where his wing leaked goals, the way we saw Ebuehi's leak goals at RB today (it was glaring)
If Idowu will not contribute anything to the attack.. How him take better pass Elder?

This is a good result despite the loss, now I know a few things..
Ebuehi is not better than Shehu at RB, Shehu remains our first choice.
We desperately need an attacking midfielder, what happens if Mikel gets injured and doesn't get to play the World Cup like in 2010 (God forbid)
I'll personally prefer uncle Echiejile at left back (the devil we know) all these our new angels viz Idowu, Aina(at left back are not spectacular)

All in all oga Rohr should fix our attacking midfield problem and we'll be good to go.

Breakout star of the game.... "Big" Francis Uzoho

Lord! That one-on-one save against arguably The world's best no.9 is gonna do something magical to Uzoho's confidence and mindset going forward. His morale is boosted after another fine shutout (another cleansheet) and he can only get better from here. He was jittery yes, but he is 19 and has not faced such huge crowd before with the whole stadium egging Poland on... Uzoho showed heart.... And I think this is the heart we need between the sticks. A Young lad with a Big Heart for the Grand occasions.
His scary face, big frame, super height and Big Heart... Hmmmm... Watch out for this lad. He is Nigeria's next number 1.



Iheanacho was kinda quiet today apart from a couple of fine interchanges/interplays and I was right to warn you all to not expect him to do even half of a Mikel... Despite that his shift on the overall was just moderately okay. I expect more from him (if he gets to start) against Serbia in the presence of Mikel.

The midfield combo of Ndidi and Joel did more tackling, marking, and ball winning rather than stringing consistently fine passes together to connect To Nacho and the other forward men. This left Nacho to come pick up stray balls deep in midfield sometimes.... Truly Mikel is the boss as I have always said.. The odogwu himself remains the best man for the no.10 role in this SE set-up.


With time, more will be said as we look forward to having a really solid 23-man squad for the mundial but I will end by saying, this win was massive and it is a big deal indeed. Beating a LewanGOALSki-led polish team (no.6 in the world) with our world no.52 team... *whistles** I say, this is huge mehn... After all we are not world class... But we have done it over two world class top 10 teams in Argentina and now in Poland. And this Poland result came in Wroclaw, Poland in front if their 48,000 passionate fans..... I say our young team deserve the credits. We can only get better.

I get nauseated when I see a lot of freelance writers bombarding this thread to condemn/criticise the eagles after a match, win or loose.

bottom line is, I don't see a striker of Auba's status (who was courted by Real Madrid as recently as last summer) coming to Arsenal to play on the wings because of a certain Lacazette . For me, the looser in the Auba deal is lacazette. Mkhi will not play in every match, that's assuming that he even regains his best form which is not going to happen anytime soon, considering he will have to adapt to a new style of play. Iwobi is not in any immediate danger of getting fastened to any bench at arsenal, at least for now. He is not Iheanacho, he is one of "them" at Arsenal, nobody in Arsenal will forget him on the bench like guardiola did nacho.

Let Arsenal sign Messi, Iwobi will somehow still find sufficient playing time. As long as wenger remains the manager. The boy is one of wenger's achievement .
