Oyo state is sitting on a keg of gun powder, business is going on in Ibadan as if nothing is happening... The governor believes eating amala is the cure to corona virus.
13 cases in Oyo... Yet ogunpa market is still allowed to run at full capacity.
God help us all

You should go back to basics and consider the meaning of slander.

In the first instance My comments are in response to the assertion that because he plays In the Bundesliga that means he is top class. Ebuehi may be in the Lower Portuguese league but l rate him far higher. Irrespective of thier positions.

Secondly my comments are in the context if his performances in the AFCON where he left a lot to be desired.

What he does in the Bundesliga gives him invitation to the SE however consistent performances in that SE ensure your selection.

I consider him from performances in the AFCON as a weak link.

Unfortunately we have few if any alternative options in the LB so he will probably remain.

Your preconceived notions show your own prejudice. This has nothing to do with being Nigerian born or being born in Europe.
Nobody here ever said he's top class, what you've been saying and kept saying is that he plays in the Bundesliga doesn't make him Bundesliga quality, and this isn't the first time you've made that statement, now that you're aware that he's been Paderborn's best player (stat wise) even as a left back... I hope you'll drop such uninformed statement at least until you can back it up with stats.
Now that you've changed the narrative to imply that you've been judging him with his Afcon performances, maybe I should remind you that he played only 3games at the Afcon, the first against South Africa, he was just coming out of injury he had the lowest rating among the back four, but on the day everyone in the back four had a good game (including Collins a game rating of 6.39 isn't bad at all) but we can admit he was the weakest link in defence that day.
Second game against Algeria in the back four only Awaziem had a better rating than him, he was far better than Troost, and on the same rating with Omeruo,.
Third game against Tunisia only Omeruo was better rated than him in the back four, he was ahead of Awaziem, and Troost.

Now statistics has proven your assertions that he isn't Bundesliga quality wrong, he is doing very fine in the Bundesliga.
Statistics has proven your assertions that he was the weakest link of our defence in the Afcon wrong, he played 3 matches and was second best in two!
So if what you've been saying about him for some weeks now isn't "slander".. Kindly borrow me the appropriate word.
Emotive prejudiced bias! grin

Remember my proposition.

Being in a top flight league doesn't not necessarily make you a top flight player.

There are players that played in the EPL as soon as thier team got relegated they got relegated. Look at Sunderland now in League one within two seasons of leaving the EPL. A good number of thier players are still with them from thier time in the EPL. That should tell you something nonetheless they still sold a player to PSG quality is not restricted to the league because it always stands out.

I would rather have the best Defender in the Bundesliga 2 than an anonymous one in the Bundesliga. The reality is Collins has not outstanding in both Bundesliga 1 and when he was in Bundesliga 2.

His performances show where he is in terms of quality not the the league.
You just keep slandering jamilu Collins like you have something to gain from it.
I'm certain that you cannot be better than the whole coaching staff and all the scouts of Paderborn, if he is as bad as you paint him here I'm sure they must have dropped him the moment they gained promotion to the Bundesliga.
According to whoscored.com statistically, Collins has had the highest average rating of any Paderborn player after 6 games in the Bundesliga 6.81 for context, this makes him the best left back in the Bundesliga's bottom 6 teams so far namely: Fortuna, union Berlin, Hertha Berlin, Fc koeln, and Mainz (Yea, I took my time to compare). Also Paderborn's attack has been strongest on the left side so far this season... Therefore It is safe to say that statistically he has been their best player this season. Going by your postulations above, we can as well assume that the whole Paderborn team is not fit to be in the Bundesliga.
You say he is very weak at 1vs1 yet stat websites believe he is very strong at tackling and making interceptions (how can a defender whose strength is tackling and interceptions be poor at 1vs 1? ) well I understand it isn't beyond you to believe he's responsible for all of Paderborn's woes in the Bundesliga so far considering your thought history here.
You this man ehn, wetin 9ja born players do you self? Don't you think the assertion that the best player (stat wise) of a Bundesliga team is not Bundesliga quality is purely "prejudiced emotive sentiments"?

Playing at the highest level doesn't mean you personally are at the highest level. That's misinterpretation of the facts.

He wasn't good before he arrived at the Bundesliga 1 and he will not become good because he now there.

In all honesty watching him play he will struggle in league one of England. He is simply not good enough all he has going for him is that he is naturally left footed.
This man, the way you reason these things you type ehn chaii ! If not ignored most of the time, it can cause even a chameleon to type at 100 words per minute.
In order to discredit Jamilu now, you're saying he will struggle in the English third tier, a starting left back in the Bundesliga fa... Oga fear god small na
Ok, so there's a new standard now according to you ,playing in the Bundesliga 1 doesn't mean a player is personally at Bundesliga 1 level ba?, which should also mean that the league in which a player plays cannot be used in judging the quality of the player
The same logic should apply to Etebo in the championship, Ahmed Musa in Saudi Arabia, Azubuike in turkey, and all the other Nigerian players in the "spor" clubs, Ighalo in China, if Iheanacho decides to move to Bristol city tomorrow, Nwakali in Spain 3rd division etc etc.... Considering that you've always judged these players and many more with the quality of the leagues they play in before now, going by this new logic can I safely say without any iota of prejudiced emotive sentiment and any of its accompanying synonyms (already in use or yet to be coined) and "misinterpretation of facts" that several of the above listed players may be "personally" above the league in which they play?

I don't think you have watched the beast Costa.

Costa bullys defenders almost into submission but he has mesmerising skill married with POWER garnished with clinical finishing and topped off with TERRIFYING aggression.

Osimhen has pace lots of running and he did out pace the defenders all the time. But bully the defenders No, hold up play was limited he lost the ball several times, he just doesn't have the physicality to impose himself on defenders. It's simply not his type of game.

He should watch Vardy and learn from him and how he uses his pace effectively he also is not a physical player but with the right timed runs is devastating.

It may be the SE may have to adapt thier game to suit him balls on the ground behind the defence for him to run on too . Again like Vardy he is not filled with trickery like say Aubmeyang. Both these players are not physical but use thier unique attributes to create dominance.

Overall he had a good night but outstanding no.

Is he the answer in the absence of Ighalo or the now supposed retired Ighalo, YES for now. But is he Drogba or Costa not yet. So the search continues for the next Yekini and or Drogba. Could he become like Vardy a think a big yes.
Err.... Baba komekn, I haven't actually compared him to Costa all round, I only compared his aggression to Costa, he earned a yellow card for protesting fa.
When last did a super eagle earn yellow for protesting?.
On the next Yekini or Drogba... Osimhen is 20 years old, I didn't watch Drogba or Yekini at 20, Osimhen can mature to be better than these legends.
Unless of course you doubt Osimhen's age (which is a likely thing considering who your posts here)
Saying Osimhen is not Vardy (29), Costa (30), peak Drogba, and peak Yekini should be considered prejudiced emotive bias abi how you take dey talk am sef?

What I enjoyed most in last night's game was Osimhen's aggression it was Diego Costa - like, and I'm loving it, the boy should keep it up and if he can back it up with consistent goal scoring, in few year's time he will become a nightmare for any central defender.
The aggression of the team generally to bad referee calls was also top notch, bye bye to the days when bad officials will be making scandalous calls all match and no one will raise a voice.

I imagine if it was Osimhen that scored that Musa goal ruled out for offside against south Africa last year... The referee for hear am!!

Michy has mostly performed whenever he's been out on loan. He scored 5 goals in 11 matches at Palace last season.
The only loan spell he didn't do well at was Valencia. Nacho has been getting chances and he has yet to take it. You guys honestly think Leicester bought him for 25m just so he could be mistreated?
I'm not saying anybody is mistreating him, all I'm saying is that Iheanacho's talent couldn't just have disappeared like that. He needs the national team's support at least.

Halfway through your post, do you know what I thought to myself?

I asked, "What kind of opposition did Belgium play, that Lukaku would be on the bench?"....surely, it has to be some bottomfeed country that can't play to save their lives. Adding that Batshuayi got two goals only made me more certain. So, I had to check it out

Guy, San Marino is what they played. Can you locate San Marino on a map? It is the kind of game you field wastemen and bench warmers to give them a boost. You cannot waste Lukaku on such a country, hence, a Batshuayi.

Your message is duly recognized and appreciated, but it would have been better, if you mentioned the opposition, because opposition determines the team. I understand though, that mentioning the opposition would have dealt your points quite a blow smiley
Errr... I'm of the opinion that we should learn something from the fact that Batshuayi even made a Belgian 23 man squad FIFA number one country fa.
Maybe we should start organising friendlies with sao tome and principe and them Gilbraltar, Comoros ... Just so we can also boost our " wastemen" too(I do not agree with the tag though) maybe reserve one or two spots for them in the squad for qualifiers too.
After all if Belgium fit do am, who we be?

Off topic.
Michy Batshuayi hasn't kicked a ball for Chelsea this season, infact he has managed to make the bench just once in 4 games this season, yet he played 90mins for Belgium today, Belgium o, world number 1 fa !Dries mertens and Romelu lukaku were on the bench, he scored 2goals.
If Batshuayi was Nigerian with his travails at Chelsea, some people would have tagged him "wasteman" "unproven", 2goals in three seasons striker etc etc.
They will tag the National team coach that invited him the most corrupt in the world.
My point is... Sometimes, a lot of things can contribute to a player not making match day squads in a foreign country, it's not always down to quality or lack of it.
It might be as simple as the manager just not liking the way the club's jersey looks on you! grin (Guardiola comes to mind)
The support of the national team can go a long way in giving some confidence, especially for players who had once been main stays in the team.
Cc :Iheanacho I watched him in his u17 days, his man city days under pellegrini even under Guardiola, his Leicester days under Ranieri.... His early days in the GWG, all that talent cannot just "vamooze" like that, No!
I really pity the young man and other brilliant guys like him: Isaac success, Nwakali Junior...
I hope Rohr starts him against Ukraine.
Please I'm not looking for a debate, I must warn that I'm really lazy at typing.

Victor Osimhen was totally woeful and a huge DISSAPOINTMENT.

I expected him to get on that pitch like a caged Lion seize his OPPORTUNITY l was filled with excitement and anticipation. Instead he was Running around like a headless chicken and couldn't impose himself on the games had zero physicality and it's not like he has mesmerising skills.

He has a long way to go hopefully as it seems he is going to French league one. Which is a lot tougher than the Belguim league he will have to STEP UP HIS GAME. Otherwise it will all go down like a flat tyre.

Chukwueze still has a lot to learn he would be wise to stay at Villareal and keep developing before going anywhere else.

We have a lot of young pretenders but nobody better clearly than the existing players. As it stands not one of the young pretenders can replace VICTOR Moses. They just do not have his quality YET.

So who are the young ones that can take the place of our existing players quality for quality like for like.huhhuh
Of course we know the real deals, young players who are not PRETENDERS but world class young quality with consistent continuous top quality outputs. Most people here are just too proud to admit it!
Young proven wingers like Seyi Ojo, Jordan Ibe, Ademola Lookman. I do not see a reason why Buhari should not be able to help us beg a top top quality striker like Dominic Solanke to lead our attack.
Crappy young pretenders like Chukwueze, Osimhen, Iheanacho, Onuachu or whatever his name is should go to Liverpool U23s to learn the basics of football.

Yes, Pep suppresses individual brilliance but it also aids in matured team work in the players. At such, they become better players working towards a common goal than players playing to the gallery.

That knowledge improves the players tactical acumen, which in turn makes the player more efficient.
And when he succeeds in suppressing the individual brilliance in you, and after one season he finds another shiny player in the market, he buys the player and confines you to the bench or totally frozen out of the squad for no reason... You get frustrated and want a transfer forgetting that all your individual brilliance has been coached out in favor of working in the" Guardiola system" now the system doesn't want you anymore, and you've become useless outside of it, unknown to you.
You get to a new club and you can't find your brilliance anymore, you become useless to the new team too...
Guardiola fans will now come around to laugh in your face: "I told you so! " you should have stayed on the training pitch to learn proper lessons under Lord Pep when you had the chance!!!

Actually, I disagree with the comparison between Chukwueze and Mahrez. The challenge Mahrez is facing is that he does not play with pace, which has been instrumental in the success of Sterling and Bernardo Silva. To a less extent, Leroy Sane.

Pace is what Chukwueze has and if Pep refines other parts of his game, we would have a monster.
imagine Mahrez still needs to be "refined" at this stage of his career before he can play for Lord Guardiola. Lol.
You know what I think Mahrez's number 1 problem at city is?

Iheanacho was eager to leave City for more money. He was not hungry for the knowledge he could get from Guardiola which would in turn make him better than he already was.

Rodgers has already explained that Nacho will flourished if giving a run of games, which unfortunately he has not gotten.

Luckily, he is under a very bright manager in Rodgers and I hope he can keep his head down and soak in as much knowledge as he can. The game time will come.
So you'll advice Samu to go from being one of the first names on the team sheet to not making match day squads just so that he can "soak" in knowledge ehn
Let me add that what fans of sexy football like yourself call "football knowledge " domiciled in your beloved coaches like Guardiola, Rogers, Tuchel and the likes is actually boring to some of us... Some of us actually find Guardiola's style too scientific, too dogmatic to be exciting.
Some of us find a match where one team has 70% of the ball boring, some of us hate it when one coach buys the whole planet and win all available trophies.
Heck some us find it boring when one team wins the league with 5games to spare.
No ,we are not enemies of success or whatever you'll call it, we just love football to be competitive, breathtaking, unpredictable.
My point is not every soccer player is built to play the "Guardiola way", if a player that isn't built for Guardiola (especially when he is African) decides to sign for a Guardiola team... My brother, that will amount to career suicide.we've lost Iheanacho on the alter of Guardiola's overly scientific football, Samu doesn't need his type of knowledge to have a successful career.

Very tough choice but I say he goes to City and work with Guardiola. There would be a lot of competition there but his tactical acumen will improve greatly and his work rate will be phenomenal.

Also, it was Guardiola's former team mate, Emmanuel Amunike who discovered him. So Chukwueze has already played with similar ideas tactically. Coupled with coming from Spain where the tactics are similar. City to me is the best choice for him.
City!!! Under Pep Guardiola?... If he joins city, that will be the beginning of the end of his career.
There's no way Pep is going to play him... He won't even make match day squads, he'll get "drilled" on the training ground for a full season, and he'll get so "good" that he won't even be able to dribble past a cripple man anymore and then be sold to Huddersfield town, stoke city or Leicester city.
Samu should for the love of God go to a team where he'll play or stay put at Villarreal. Iheanacho was drilled for a full season and his life was never the same again, we knew the player he was, now we know the player he his.
