The best advice I can give you now is to learn tech, because that's what is paying my bills now and has been ever paying it.

I understand the amount here is 1.5m and this advice might seem like what's this, but just adhere and take just 30k out of it to learn a lucrative tech skill. You'd never regret it.

However,be careful where you learn that from because almost everyone is just calling themselves tech guy,tech bae now without any even deep knowledge of what tech is and no direction. Be careful.

I work in a company and my take home is 450k after tax. My problem is I have been thinking of a skill to learn as this job would not last forever. Aside this job I do not have a skill and as a man I feel one should have a long lasting skill. Please any suggestions would be welcomed aside from online skills. Thank you .

You might have gone through series of comments and by now be feeling sorry to have made this post,but hiiii, I'm telling you that's the best decision you've made.

As you mentioned you only needed any other suggestion asides from online skills, I would try to give advice related to that, although I'm a tech girl and if I'm to talk about the wide growth being a tech person has caused me, I'm sure you'd have an interest.

But then, it would be great if you start saving some amount of the 450k every month, because eventually when you acquire the skill, you'd need capital to start the business,since it's not an online business.

However, At the same time,you can still apply tech to whichever business you'd be going into. Tech is the future.
There have been notable improvement in the digital economy and tech sector of Nigeria,
and even Africa as a continent. The last ten years saw to the emergence of numerous tech startups in
different parts of Africa, with Nigeria boasting of over 461 tech startups in finance, agrictech,
transport/logistics, health sectors, etc.

Acquiring a skill in tech would be a decision you'd never regret

I wouldn't be surprised to later know you have a fixed mindset rather than a growth mindset.

Learning never ends and learning and mastering a skill can't be done in one day. Even a pro is still doing his or her very best to keep progressing in learning everyday.

That you couldn't take your time to master just one skill alone to talk of more doesn't mean it can't be done by others. It just shows you have a limited brain capacity.

I am a girl in tech who has been into numbers of digital since age 14. Now I'm 20. I agree not all digital skills are lucrative. Some are just useful hand in hand,but agree with me,it just depend on the level at which you monetize it and also,from whom you learnt that from.

If it's a right tutor,all these should be included in previous discussions.

I often ask my student,why do you want to learn this skill? To be sure it's not a herd mentality.

You should learn a skill that you know you have people you can monetize it with around,to start with.
Also a skill you know would be useful to your personal sef that you can start something with.

I acquired 19 digital skills already,and they have really been helpful hand in hand. Although,it wasn't easy to acquire that and build the experience up to the level at the moment. All it took was determination.

I'm also not against 9-5 job but like I always advice people,start something on your own. Tech is taking over and it's the future and the present.
