TheFreeOne:please do not be easily deceived by Boko Haram's impression in that letter that it is not asking for amnesty. Another classical scamming of Nigeria through paying off huge sums of money in amnesty is in the offing from the highest quarters. |
babosky2008:Buhari once told the military that their fight against Boko Haram was like a fight against the north of Nigeria. Military people are humans, they must have felt offended by PMB - they cool off in Yollanda. |
Mogidi:The same manner Boko Haram was instructed to wreck havoc until the electorate got afraid of insecurity and was eventually scammed to vote for Buhari. Nigerians, wait for amnesty pay offs to BH very soon. |
Ecoplexus:It is south that needs serious soul searching. Northern leaders drew the map of Arewa sharia country from Nigeria - waiting for oil to finish BH says it is fighting for a country governed by sharia criminal laws. North is shoving Southern leaders around like zombies for one Nigeria - north waiting for oil to finish. |
toyoutoyou:tell even your self the truth for once. Boko Haram says it is fighting for a country friendly with use of sharia criminal laws.
|
march for sharia criminal laws is in the details of the two acts of Boko bombings and church burning. let no body be deceived. |
hoobs:They bark at the wrong tree because they are afraid they may lose crude oil and gas if Biafra goes. They are poor souls who just can't wake up to the reality that the most wealthy countries on earth do not have crude oil and gas. |
Pangea:Those Fulani marauders are better left in their own Arewa country. For how long shall you use task force to monitor them, give them what they want when they try anything? That's a big set-back to any country. |
gsalvatore:Sai Buhari. Nigerians get what they wanted. |
Jonathan's CONFAB restructured Nigeria politically such that there shall be equity between the old northern region and the old southern region in political representation. And the equity must ensure that the north shall no longer have its present near-veto powers over Nigeria's matters, less so, in the National Assembly. Jonathan pleaded to the SW in Lagos last presidential election campaign to vote and retain his government so that the CONFAB's recommendations shall be implemented by the new NASS, since the outgoing NASS was hostile to the CONFAB. But no dice. SW votes gave Buhari victory. Now, PMB may not touch the CONFAB recommendations - even with a long spoon. That's the SW and its much-vaunted political sophistication for you. |
"I wonder why Ahmed Tinubu and his political platform went into a merger with Buhari and his acolytes without agreeing on this “true federalism” principle, which is an enduring political philosophy of the Awoist Yoruba, and for which the Igbo fought and lost the civil war." ...... .... Ocheromee Nnanna. Before SW-based ACN joined northern parties and formed APC, Tinubu and most of SW people had been campaigning for true federalism at any junction in the SW. The came Jonathan's CONFAB; in the CONFAB, surprisingly, the SW asked for only regional government system without fiscal federalism; but that is no true federalism. Therefore, trusting what the SW says is like trusting a green snake in a green grass. |
Denounce the adoption of use of sharia criminal codes in the 12 northern states to let Boko Haram close shops. Or do eyes-right as Biafra walks away from Nigeria.
|
Denounce use of sharia criminal laws in the far north. Boko Haram says it is fighting for a country friendly with use of sharia criminal laws.
|
Use of sharia criminal codes is behind the Boko Haram palaver. Let the 12 northern Nigeria states that adopted use of sharia criminal laws renounce the adoption and watch Boko Haram lose moral support and then fade away from Nigeria.. Use of sharia criminal laws is a violation of Nigeria's constitution. Trial in Sharia criminal courts involve hearing of disputes, with an Islamic jurist deciding the outcome. --- it is most unfair to try people without their having a lawyer. Punishment for stealing is the amputation of the hand (Quran 5:38). This is still used today in countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Northern Nigeria --- if this punishment is reasonable, lots of the elite in Nigeria must have amputated hands. But amputating the hands renders the person unproductive and thereby dependent on the society that amputated his/her hands. Stoning women to death for adultery …... this is also most unreasonable for the many reasons space cannot allow here.
|
The genesis of all these: use of sharia criminal laws/courts. Boko Haram which says it is fighting for a country friendly with use of sharia criminal laws emerged after 12 northern states adopted use of sharia criminal laws. A few days ago, a Kano sharia court sentenced people to death for blasphemy. No area in today's south of Nigeria may touch sharia criminal laws - even with a long spoon. Only solution to Boko Haram is let the south pull out of Nigeria. Thereafter, northern peoples of all creeds and tongues must return to peaceful co-existence - like they used to. In every society, one dominant group must show the way.
|
The genesis of all these: northern Muslim leaders adoption of sharia criminal laws beginning 1999. Shortly after that, Boko Haram appeared and says it is fighting for a country governed with sharia criminal laws. RIP to the dead. But if the old British Protectorate of Southern Nigeria pulls out of Nigeria, Boko Haram violence must stop. People of the old northern protectorate must go back to peaceful co-existence like before. One dominant group must surely be on top in Arewa for peace to be.
|
Their faces are roundish - meaning they were well fed. Many hungry Nigerians would even want to be like them. Imagine that most of Nigeria's oil wealth must be going now to this Boko Haram thing. Boko haram says it is fighting for a country governed by sharia criminal laws. Are southern Nigerian political leaders full mugus? If not, who can stop them if they rise up now and say: the south is opting out of that amalgamation of south and north of former British protectorates? 12 northern states literally opted out when they embraced use of sharia criminal codes and rubbished Nigeria's constitution. Once the south opts out, Boko Haram must stop. The people in the north must start all over again to live in peace like they used to be for hundreds of years before the politics of who commands the whole Nigeria came.

Chai, Even PDP has mouth to talk now; barely one month after their oga Jonathan hurriedly conceded Nigeria to a man like Muhammadu Buhari. PDP's Jonathan said he felt like in a cage being in government house. Very few people expected him to lose election - but Jonah apprared he was already prepared to go even before the election campaign began. .If Jonathan had exercised patience, by 2019, Nigeria's democracy must have matured, very good candidates emerging from parties to contest to become president. But with last election results, Nigeria's democracy was taken back to the 1980s. |
But PMB is creating more tasks - more possible war fronts - for Nigeria Army, as he relocates Boko Haram prisoners from areas where Boko Haram operates to areas where Boko Haram does not operate. Did Buhari seek the opinion of Nigeria Army officers before he started to relocate the prisoners? Imagine a US president relocating Guantanamo prisoners to low security prisons in crowded US towns. |
Treachery? Buhari as a private citizen apparently divided Nigeria Army when he told the officers that their fight against Boko Haram was like a fight against the north of Nigeria. Army officers also have feelings. Guess why no news about Boko Haram VS Nigeria Army encounter since Buhari became President of Nigeria. |
Let PMB rule the country for the good of all, who is attacking Tinubu? Is Tinubu president, or VP or legislator, or what? Tinubu has played his role, helped a lot to consign apex political powers to northern politicians. He has left the stage, if he doesn't want to leave, he must leave. Few years from now, hopefully, Tinubu may join his paparapos in the SW for a new NADECO to wrestle power from anti-democracy elements from the north. This time, it's never gonna be easy. North has learned a lot. Sophisticated SW. ![]() |
Hm, Gov.Obiano, this is not time to play politics of enmity. |
Kano Emir, Sanusi's recent take on the causes of Boko Haram in Nigeria was further to the truth. Sanusi blamed poor education in the areas where Boko Haram operates as part of the reasons. Agree, because it is only poor education that can make people fight for use of sharia criminal justice system in a country of mixed religious faiths. It is poor education that can make people want to use death penalty on a woman for committing adultery, or to cut the fingers of a petty thief, while Nigeria's thieving politicians go free. |
Chubhie:Agree with you. Let Jonathan be appointed to negotiate with Boko Haram, since Jonathan as president said Nigeria has terrorism because terrorism is a global phenomenon. Jonathan refused to let it be understood that Nigeria's terrorism is home-made as Nigeria's Boko Haram has maintained that it is fighting for a country friendly with use of sharia criminal laws; and that Boko Haram emerged after 12 northern Nigeria states adopted use of sharia criminal laws. Alas, Jonathan's over-pampering of those that indirectly brought terrorism to Nigeria helped to make him lose the last presidential election. |
But Presidency is yet to respond on the issue of transfer of Boko Haram prisoners to a lowly secured prison in crowded Ekwulobia, Anambra state. Presidency ignores the anxiety of millions of people in a country PMB governs. Boko Haram has not minced words any of the several times it said that it is fighting for a sharia-friendly country. Perhaps, PMB is gonna be the last President of Nigeria.
|
Lol, in just about one month in power, PMB and APC are being overwhelmed. Whenever a leader resorts to witch hunting to move on at this early stage, write off the leader. At one point this early, we may even go back to find out whether PMB had O Level certificate or not before joining the army. |
bright007:If a president Obama or prime minister Cameron enhances the transfer of terrorist suspects/prisoners from their zone of operation to a more tranquil zone in their respective countries - impeachment process may follow. Nigeria's president Buhari's action of transfer of terrorists from their areas of operations in the far north to the southeast area where the terrorists do not operate amounts to increasing the frontline for terrorism; Buhari through the act unnecessarily increased the war front for Ngeria's army and other security operatives. Through this prisoners transfer, Buhari has the benign intention to create suffering, fear, and despondency in a part of a country where he is president; but the essence of his being the president includes arrest of such suffering, fear and despondency among any group in the country. Part of why Buhari is delaying appointment of ministers as required by the constitution is because he needs time to carry out dictatorial decisions which include this extension of terrorists frontiers as done by relocation of terrorists to a run-down low-security prison in a highly crowded area of Ekwulobia, as well as Buhari's recent ordering of removal of soldiers from checks- points. Police are no match to terrorists anywhere in the world. Members of the NASS need to start impeachment moves against dictator Buhari. |
adonis89:Southerners are cowards, and one thinks, politically ignorant. Twelve northern states adopted use of unconstitutional sharia criminal justice system, after which Boko Haram emerged and says it is fighting for a country governed by sharia criminal justice system. No part of south of Nigeria, including even the Yoruba that embraces Islam, can accept use of sharia criminal justice system. Sharia criminal justice system includes stoning women to death for adultery, cutting off hands of petty thieves, punishment with death for blasphemy, etc. Adoption of such sharia criminal justice system implies that the 12 sharia states have elected to opt out of Nigeria. But issue is the southern politicians who appear tied by northern politicians with an unbreakable cord to one Nigeria. |
Hard to think that an Iraqi, Syrian, Afghan, Yemeni or Somali leader can contemplate ordering soldiers to leave road check-points in any of these countries. It is a fact: Police are not trained to confront terrorists. Therefore, PMB's order to remove soldiers from check-points of Nigeria's roads must enhance the movement of Boko Haram suicide bombers and fighters. |
"New Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is due to visit his counterpart in Cameroon after the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and meets U.S. President Barack Obama on July 20, when the fight against Boko Haram is likely to be high on the agenda." David Cameron and Barack Obama would never contemplate bringing Guantanamo prisoners to the UK and US. Because if they do, that must amount to expanding the zone of operation of terrorists and the British and US soldiers. David Cameron and Barak Obama must ask Buhari why he chose to relocate Boko Haram Prisoners to a crowded Ekwulobia town with a low scale security prison. |
PMB needs to be preoccupied with checkmating this, instead of having to occupy himself with extension of the front of Boko Haram to areas where Boko Haram does not operate. Buhari's relocation of Boko Haram prisoners to Anambra state means extending the violence to areas where the violent BH does not operate. That's very cruel for a president of a country. |
This was meant by T. B Joshua to be an advert for his church and person. Nothing to cheer in the return of the money to the pensioneer. |
