what i see here is benefit of attending church and Advertisement of a particular church...

The only work of the church as u have mentioned is to reach out to the unsaved and help disciple the saved. Others benefits such as marriage we can also find in night club.

Thank God for your church too and what God is doing through the ministry of His servant, Senior Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

As much as I agree with your argument, i disagree with the scripture u quoted in support of it. Isaiah 4:1 was describing a specific time surrounded with a particular kind of occurrence. It is not a prescription for Christians.


I am open to a superior argument that will be shed the light more on it if am wrong though.

I understand the fact that most of what are portrayed today as christian holidays and celebrations are mostly an heritage from the ancient cultures and rituals which are diabolic in all ways.

However, if accepting Christ and His righteous was an act of faith evident in a in the disposition of the heart, then I also believe that any outward celebration without change in Faith is not a bad or evil per say.

Sunday for service or mass too was not passed down from Christ. But believers still had to choose a day to gather. Whether that same day is SUNDAY which is said to be a roman day of worshipping the Sun god or not becomes an individual perspective. Because fundamentally Faith in Christ is why we gather.

However care should be taken.

Personally, I have decided not to force the bible using allegorical sense of bible interpretation to make the bible say what it might not be really saying especially about issues such as marrying more than one woman.

Religion is bad because it has a way of removing the person of the Holy Spirit from the picture entirely. It had reduced the organic life of our worship to nothing more than a set of blind rules.

Giving prayer a formula, such as beginning with praises, worship, repentance, petition, and thanks for answers to prayer; rules such as receiving such an answer from God requires praying such a prayer or reading such passages in the bible; paying tithes solely for business success; giving only to be given in return; praying and studying the word solely to maintain your pride as a spiritual giant, competitive fasting and so on.

The true form of godliness is achieved by faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross and is proudly sponsored by the spirit of Christ. Any rules, activities, or beliefs, regardless of how spiritual they look or sound, that replace or deny the power of the Holy Spirit must be dealt with.

Did u applied online yourself or through an officer?

Cos your case is similar to that of a person who applied himself through through online payment system.
