They made an oral apology. Obi wants a written document so that when the chips are down he can ask you to go and verify. That it is not documented doesn't mean it never happened.

Only criminals get detained and harrassed for no reason. Why was Obi detained and if he is within his rights, why is he not pressing charges against the UK immigration?
Reason is simple, UK government apologised to him for that illegal delay. When will they apologize to the drug lord , since ya'll are claiming that forfeiture means nothing

They can change the law subsequently but the law is the law. Mind you if you say Abuja is like any other state just to ensure Tinubu is not removed on that account, Abuja residents will start demanding for a state govt, house of assembly, senatorial and house of rep representation.

The Supreme Court cannot just rule anyhow
Spot on. Like I have always postulated, there is a reason the aboriginal gbagyis were moved from Abuja, no other 'state' was treated same way. We do not have a state governor in Abuja and the Minister of FCT reports to the president, no other governor of a state does that. FCT was not mentioned as a state in the constitution and there are historical reasons for this. It worries the mind when some of us close our eyes to these realities. It is not about the vote of Abuja people being superior, it is the fact that the government had a plan on how Abuja should be a melting point of all Nigerians and really carry that toga of 'No man's land, hence the need to seek and receive the concurrence of 25% of the people staying in that FCT. The courts may rule in favour of public policy but it has to be clarified. Interesting days ahead.

. What about in this following case too:

In Bakari v. Ogundipe (2021) 5 NWLR (Pt.1768) 1, the supreme Court held that by virtue of section 299(a) (b) of the Constitution, the provisions of the Constitution shall apply to the FCT, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation.
I think that instead of applying these dicta in all circumstances, we should seek to also understand in what scenarios that the justices made such decisions (if at all).

. What about in the following case wgere the SC ruled that FCT has a toga of state like other states in Nigeria?
Supreme Court in FAWEHINMI & ORS v. BABANGIDA & ORS (2003) LPELR-1255 (
I haven't read the authority you cited and so may not be able to speak to it but it is doubtful that such a toga will apply for all purposes.

Story
When Tinubu gets sworn in, kill yourself.
When you refuse to upgrade your knowledge, this is what happens. A lawyer arguing like a carpenter.
There is a recent SC judgment that says the FCT is treated as a state of the federation. Go educate yourself and stop typing trash about.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
If you were a lawyer I will understand, you are not one and therefore don't understand the language of lawyers. I have only addressed some issues that are very minor and not the entire gamut of the claims put in by the petitioner. I am not available to argue with you please. Thank you

if it's a full state it should have all this but it had a special status, according to the drafter nobody for now until the law is changed can do anything about the prominence position given to fct as far as. presidential election is concerned. some laws might be unfair but its the law until its changed
This is very trite. Even a manifestly bad law remains the law until it is changed. Abuja is not Abuja state, it is the Federal Capital Territory with several outstanding features. The literal interpretation of the law on that point is 'And Abuja'. AND here is Conjunctive. It is the law that no word in an enactment is to be seen as superfluous or just inserted without an intention. The intention of AND in that section is literally clear. The courts will soon tell us how they understand this. The world is watching.

Barrister fergie001 and other humble lawyers nairaland , need your input about this judgement. Thank You
There is no issue here. Obi and his team properly articulated their claim. Yes, the court is right on that interpretation and some people will start shouting Hallelujah but look at it this way, it is the law that you cannot put something on nothing and expect it to stay. Obi is arguing that the election itself is tainted with fraud and INEC substantially deviated from the process such that the entire thing was a sham and did not happen. If the election is a sham, the argument of 25% in 16 states and even the interpretation of 25% in Abuja will not arise. Eluppee is adopting multiple approaches to this. The idea is if this one doesn't stand, another will stand. It is an interesting time.

Please do not distort the story. OBI WAS NOT DEPORTED. He was detained at the border post and asked questions. He proceeded to spend his Easter in London and left London for Nigeria after the Easter. Fraudulent things that APC cannot do does not exist.

Wagwanbrethren:
Lol. I'm really trying to know what the US will do here, because they can only talk, but not alter the result if that's what some people are expecting. After the investigation what next? What if Tinubu is sworn in, and the whole thing dies off, what happens next?

Even if the US government was able to influence the election result, it would not be able to control the aftermath. There would be a risk of civil unrest and the US would be seen as responsible for this. It's not in the interests of the US to interfere in the elections of other countries. It would damage relationships with other countries and could lead to retaliation.

Truth is, In some cases, it may be relatively easy for the US government to change the election results in a foreign country; in others, it may be much more difficult. Factors that would likely influence the US government's ability to alter an election outcome abroad would include the political stability of the country in question, the extent of US involvement in that country's politics, and the extent of international scrutiny of the election. So make your guess! 🤷‍♂️
Just on the above, who in the comity of nations do you think is interested in Nigeria? Who?

When they say animals with horns should come out, snail also joins them. Quit thinking huge about this contraption. No one really cares and absolutely none will be willing to face off with the US and UK if they have a choice between them and Nigeria.

Bolded Sentence Examples
Rarely do you see magazine headlines with the bolded words, "Memorize the U.S. Presidents in One Hour!"

Bolded items are still supported by developers.

The best fonts, Times Roman, Franklin Gothic and Palantino to name a few, have impact, especially when bolded and can be effectively used to convey the important elements of your message.

Some search engines will pay special attention to headers and bolded words.
