Failure2019: Drive this car now
People go laugh and mock you tire.
Many folks no longer drive vintage cars in Nigeria because of mockery. I am happy to be mocked. When we get to brass tacks, we will know who is who. Imagine me spending a few millions at Quilox or Nitro and then stepping into my vintage beetle. Even the babe wey I carry dey go house sabi say na Man I be. She will understand better when we drive into my park at home. Do what makes you happy. I also want to re-purchase a Benz 200 or 230E |

happney65: This is utter falsehood. He is a lone officer just driving against traffic and going the one way route. He isn't on an emergency trip neither is he driving an ambulance. It is only ambulances that can drive against traffic when lives are at stake..
We should stop accepting things that are not okay. When you or people that are your loved ones lose their lives due to officers and other drivers committing these type of traffic offences I know you won't bring up this excuse at all at all.
Things that are not done abroad, we accept such here. Things that can lead to loss of lives You probably have more information than I do but my position remains that a uniformed person fully adorned in uniform should be extended the immunity and privilege because I understand the circumstances that they work under most of the times. LASTMA should do more to manage traffic gridlocks that then supports one-way driving. They close their eyes to danfo drivers picking passengers in the middle of the road and causing backlog of traffic thus leading to efforts to avoid the traffic by taking one-way. If traffic is flowing freely, no one will opt to take a one-way drive, not even the officers. Meanwhile, LASTMA also take one-way and no one arrests them. That is like the pot calling the kettle black |

happney65: Which nonesense and stupid apology. I don't know why Lastma cannot charge the soldier who's car was impounded to court for assault. When such is done next time no person will go beating Lastma officers again.
P.S. I know Lastma officers also overdo at times, but the people especially so called security officers break traffic laws every now and then Officers may have urgent reasons to be at point A from point B. There are exceptions, these LASTMA just believe they are in competition with the Federal forces (Police inclusive). If an Officer in Uniform identifies himself as such, they should let him go, sometimes they need to be somewhere in record time. |

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/04/soldiers-torture-12-lastma-officers-for-arresting-army-chief/ He said assaults will no longer be tolerated (Oladeinde) so what will he do? they will still beat them again black and blue and the beating dey sweet me. When they will be setting trap to arrest and bully civilians, sometimes for no reason just to extort them. They will always collect beating and take note, I do not support the recklessness of some of our officers but I support any and every beating that the LASTMA collect from Police and Army and the ones collected from Police by the Army and the ones collected by the Army from BH and UGM. Las las everybody dey collect. |

DOptical: Fashola didn't answer the question because you've got to provide proven facts first, not trash! Fashola is a legal practitioner who knows this! As a matter of fact, he also pointed out other propaganda trash that have been circulating.. Just as Fashola stated, dual citizenship doesn't stop anyone from their elected position. The so called dual citizenship was even issued recently and has expired. So, how is it a problem? Obi recently had Dallas citizenship which hasn't even expired, did that stop him from contesting? Much ado about nothing.
Anyway, social media needs to be restricted like South Korea and Japanese do. Writing trash in the name of Cloutshasing shouldn't be a career. This is for David hundeyin and his ilks. In saner clime, such people would find themselves in prison! Same David hundeyin was sent out of Oxford university for fraud! That's a sane clime.
Some worthless talentless people would just come on social media to write trash for clout chasing.. In a sane clime, such people would found their useless ass in prison! Imagine the nonsensical social media craziness these days.
Anyone without a certified journalism degree with registered media house has no business writing trash! Even at that, you have to come correct! Lots of things need to be in place TBH. Even our legislators who don't have law degrees, Bar exam excellence and experience as a legal practitioners have no business as legislators! Politics shouldn't be a career! Neither is clout chasing! S.137(1)(2) is explicit on this point. Except he can prove that the citizenship was acquired involuntarily or foisted on him. The fashola guy was just trying to wriggle out, reason he said he will check. They should ask for increased pay to defend Tinubu, he is not a good candidate to defend at all |

Wow! Coming from a SAN: “I will check. But I doubt that the Nigerian constitution makes you disentitled if you have dual citizenship, because the constitution allows you to have dual citizenship” All I can say is that he is only trying to dodge the question S.137(1) of the 1999 constitution (as amended). Tinubu is a hard sell. |

The only reality is the you will start abusing supreme court and judiciary after the judgement. If their judgement is sound and based on incontrovertible evidence, and supported in law and fact, no one will abuse them. Where they allow themselves to be bought over, then you can't beat a child and ask him not to cry. |

favor914: The Judas must run:
“That the petition of the Labor party as frivolous & incompetent, stating that disqualification factors as stipulated by the Constitution only conceives of a conviction sentence or fine involving dishonesty or fraud or contravention of the Code of Conduct as found by a Court of the law of competent jurisdiction or Tribunal in Nigeria,” it added.
While urging the court to strike out petitions against Tinubu, the APC argued that Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, who alleged that Tinubu was convicted for drug-related case, lacked the requisite locus standi to challenge the outcome of the presidential election.
Insisting that Obi was not validly nominated by the LP, the APC, stressed that he was not a member of the party, at least 30 days before it conducted its presidential primary election.
It told the court that Obi was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, till May 24 2022, adding that he was screened as a presidential aspirant of the party in April, 2022.
APC further averred that whereas Obi joined the LP on May 27, he was subsequently declared the winner of the presidential primary election the LP held on May 30, 2022.
“By section 77(3) of the Electoral Act, 2022, the 2nd Petitioner (LP) is mandated to have submitted its comprehensive register of members to the 1st Respondent 30 days before its presidential primary.
“That is to say the said register of members must have been submitted to the 1st Respondent on or before 30th April, 2022.
“The 1st Petitioner (Obi) as at 30th April, 2022 was still a member of the PDP and his name was not and could not have been in the register of members submitted by the 2nd Petitioner to 1st Respondent (INEC).
“The Petition herein is incompetent as the 1st Petitioner is not a member of the 2nd Petitioner since the 1st Petitioner’s name is not, and could have been listed in the list of the register made available by the 2nd Petitioner to the 1st Respondent, same having been made available before the 1st Petitioner joined the 2nd Petitioner”.
It, therefore, prayed the court to dismiss or strike out Obi’s petition “wholly or in part as may be appropriate”. Do you have an inkling of what you copied and posted here? Every respondent has a right of response to a petition. Don't waste my time pasting what I saw while they were filing it in court |
