Romance › Re: Marry A Yoruba Girl, Thank Me Later. by HARDBUOI: 4:48pm On Feb 08, 2016 |
HateU2: I'm not Tribalist when it comes to relationship. In fact, I will marry from any tribe where I find love. This is a counter thread, enjoy:
1. Education disparity
Yorubas generally love education. They have the highest number of University graduates in Nigeria. This is also the same for postgraduate degrees. Yoruba women occupy top positions in many organisations because they are well educated.
2. Highly accommodating
Yorubas generally are highly accommodating people. Historically, Yorubas have been at the forefront of the tribes who welcome strangers. They do entertain their guests even if the person is not from a Yoruba-spoken town. This spirit of warmly allowing non-indigenes to live among them is why states like Lagos, Ogun and Oyo have almost all the different tribes of people in Nigeria residing in them.
3. Adventure
This reason may come as a surprise. Yoruba women travel a lot. They travel for business, education and other reasons. In doing this, a Yoruba woman who is single before her trip might be fortunate to see a guy she likes.
It is very rare to hear an educated Yoruba lady say she would not marry a man from another tribe. The way she sees Yoruba men is also the same way she sees other men who are not Yoruba. There is no restriction in her choice of husband. She does not have a tribal biased mindset. She is ecstatic when she tells her parents that her fiancée is not Yoruba. She does not believe that this would erode away her culture. If a man who is her suitable taste comes to her, she accepts him. This is because she believes in discovering new things.
4. Yoruba Ladies Are Hardworking
A lot of Yoruba ladies grew up with the teachings of self-reliance. This is because at a tender age, they get taught about how to do major household chores and how to exceptionally take care of the house, the man of the house and the children. Every man want attention….
5. Yoruba Ladies Are Family-Oriented
The same way every young child is taught how to be respectful no matter the situation is the same way a Yoruba ladies are taught how to always put their immediate families first no matter what. They are brought up with the notion that a friend will one day leave but family will forever be family. This trait can make a man fall in love over and over again with the same woman who has perfected the act of keeping her family together.
6. Yoruba Ladies Are Very Respectful
The moment a child is born in Yorubaland, the onus of training is on everybody around the baby, not just the parents. This has made it very easy to inculcate habits like being respectful in the young child. Yoruba ladies are brought up to totally give obeisance to whoever it is due. The Yoruba culture opines that when a youngster meets an elder, she must kneel down to greet as a sign of respect. All these and more are why Yoruba ladies top the list of respectful tribes in Nigeria. Yoruba babes oya support me before the 'bashers' comes . Marry a yoruba girl and thank me later. "You are welcome in advance . CC: lalasticlala CC: Seun. Let them know I HAVE COME ACROSS FEW PEOPLE HERE CALLING U Fake NOW I KNO THE REASON... i reside in lagos but i have discovered that nairaland yoruba gals are hypocrites they claim they dont like igbos n stuff but trust me in real life out there most yoruba gals love to date igbo guys, especially if u are light skinned. i'm talking from experience..... in the street where i live iv noticed that most yoruba gals are now showing me green light ever since they discovered i'm igbo guy.... because i'm too igbotic i always blow my language anywhere i am. now when some of them see me they'll look for something to tell me even when my attention is not on them. some of them will be like... I DIDNT KNO U ARE IGBO, I THOUGHt U ARE FROM CALABAR.. others be like... but U LOOK LIKE AKWAIBOM(as if them the write am for face..lol ) i know say all na famzing. a particular yoruba gal has even made it a routine to be stalking me, passing across my gate every evening to stylishly check if i'm standing. outside . well i cant date a yoruba gal coz i dont think my parents will support dat. anyways...these oduduwa gals are so lucky i wasnt brought up to be a bad guy. i would have damaged their VEEs by now even though the pressure is too much from them but ill still keep my cool n be d good guy i always am. |

thiagocrush: You see the issue of back stabbing, i have been in a situation where two of my yoruba friends were saying shit about me thinking i don't understand yoruba, i pretended like i didnt hear anything but a week later when they forgot about it, they were conversing in yoruba and i interjected and said something about the issue (like an advise) they were shell shocked!, they pretended like they didnt hear me at first but then i kept on interjecting appropriately, till they finally responded. Deep in my mind i was laughing hard. I felt Good because i tormented their thoughts. Tho we are still friends but there are limits. dats exactly how they behave... be careful with dem o, if u had kept more quiet pretend u wud hav gotten more info from dem. no matter how close u are to them as long as u are igbo bro thier lov for u is questionable. coming to lagos really opened my eyes about this pple i swear. they will pretend to love u but just to take away ur doubts against dem so dat wen they sting u wont bliv its dem. this is not a laffing matter becareful with them. one Yoruba guy crashed my friend's relationship with his gf just to take over d gal , telling the gal dat my friend tells everybody how he fuks her which is not true. |

yes some ladies like dat..makes dem have dat feeling of being dominated or being under a man but u are talkin abt ur wife here . pls dont be a wife beater it is not a nice thing to do, i very much understand ur feeling wen she angers u up with abuses or hitting u. but there are better way to punish her ratter than hitting her i cant remember when i hit a woman last bcoz wen i do...i always feel irritated on dat arm until d following day or wen i sleep n wake up so i decided to stop long ago.... |
