Good evening again my prople. I followed a link that bridged me across to the true VO thread. I read posts there at random. I returned here and read posts here at random. I then went to a site called ustraveldocs.com to see the steps. I was shocked when I got to the visa fees, couldn't believe my eyes at what I saw. A foreign entity that provide consular service in my country uses its own independent exchange rate outside the official bank rates. This is absurd! Will the US allow Nigerian Embassy in their country use an arbitrary conversion rate outside the limits set by their central bank? Jeezus!

The thing don vex me well well. I no wan apply again sef. I don tell my friend to wait after divorce finalize next month to use the money she budget for my travels and come to Nigeria. If the mountain won't come to Muhammed, Muhammed will go to the mountain.

Meanwhile, I thank you all very much for opening my eyes to what i didnt know before. I learnt lesson here. I cant beleieve that we dont even protest the insult, instead we are lining up and eager to pay more sef just so we can speak to the vo and submit our fate to him to decide. I wonder if they post a report showing rates of approval.

Does anyone know, for every 100 applicant how many are approved? Please dont give me some bullshyyte about "ties" when you respond to this question.

For family of 4 that intends to travel for a vacation with his family won't it be like he (the man) is travelling with his ties since "children" is part of ties u mentioned

- marital status
- children
- length at work place
- finances

***if the above is STRONG, travel history may be negligible.
***reasonable purpose of going to the US, sustainable by finances.

VO: thank u for the information provided, hope u don't mind me keeping the 2 bills of Lading. Brought out a white paper and circled Administrative Processing. We will contact u via email or text message as soon as we are through.

Me: No problems and thank u. (note: my 3 passports are with them). It's my first time of applying so I kind of don't know what to expect. No other document was checked.
Pls gurus in the house enlighten me on the likely outcome of the Administrative Processing.

Thinking this way is a good way of limiting what God can do for you... just like johnpoko, I got mine on a virgin passport (January passport o) with no travel history...

please i need your candid advise, I wish to relocate to canada with my family(myself, wife and 2 kids) i have a relative in canada who want to give me an invitation to spend my vacation with him but he is saying I'll come alone first on a vacation and get back to Naija then ill reprocess for myself and family. that I should get a letter of introduction from my employer and prepare my statement which is not a problem at all.

But a friend here in Naija is saying its not normal like that since am married, Tourist (family) is the best option to go with fams or Study (if am going alone) i.e I'll get there and later arrange how to move family.

My question now is which option do you think has d higher chance of getting the visa coz am confused.

Bro you are the only one who can help yourself. I had a similar experience in my maiden semester but God be thanked, I scraped through with good results. I didn't go to tutorials as I was always busy on weekends too then.
First, you might need to attend tutorials as someone suggested. That can really help as you meet course mates who can assist academically and spur you to challenge yourself.
Two, if you won't attend tutorials, schedule your weekend to read. You afford not to attend tutorials and not read independently.
Three, either of the options you take, try to have the soft copy of the materials on your phone. It helped me a lot. With that, you can read on the go.
What's your course of study, perhaps I can help in guiding you through your first semester.
