l didn't want to comment, but what baffles me now is the number of views. This means that many are really hoping to see this happen. Many people have been into this since 2016 and still have faith in disbursement. Again, it baffles me to see the calibre of people in it and the amount of expectations. Meanwhile, how come government knows nothing about it or even mention it like survival fund and others? How come days of disbursement always postponed? Why the deciet and why allow it linger this long? By now, they should have been busted or hijacked by politicians (especially because of the sum mentioned with CBN). l cross my fingers. 6 Likes |

Crime / Re: Lady Shares Pictures Of Injuries Inflicted On Her Mum By Dad (Disturbing Pix) by Hardtalk: 1:55pm On Sep 07, 2020 |
This issue came up on WAZOBIA FM last Friday. The girl took time to explain what the mother is going through. She said, the father is so arrogant and he uses his money to influence people and the police. Nedu (the presenter), later called the girl's uncle (mother's elder brother) and he affirmed the story. He said, he once lived with them and all through the period, the man always looked for any slightest provocation to beat his wife. The one that baffled him most was extending the beatings to him, not minding his status and age. He fought him and that made him to leave their house. When they called for familys' meeting, the man in front of others made attempt to beat the woman again. That certainly got the elder brother angry. He rose up and fought the man. The wife's family could not do anything as they have been bought with money, the man claimed. When asked what the woman used to do wrong, the uncle said he could not really say its because of this or that. Quarrel could start because there was no salt in the soup. It could be because of not washing his clothes well. Just one flimsy excuse or the other. Upon returning to Lagos, the man arrested his wife because of the fight the elder brother had with him and the woman was immediately transferred to the East. What made people begin to feel the man too had his own bad side, was when a person sent an SMS claiming that this family was his neighbour and that they live in the same estate. That all the girl said was correct and that the estate was tired of settling quarrels between the man and his wife and that at a point in time, the man was arrested by the estate management. All of these are just reports. lts GOD only that knows what is happening. The uncle said the woman has been suffering this since 1999. lts not by force to remain battered in marriage. |

Foreign Affairs / USA 2020: Donald Trump Counters Joe Biden by Hardtalk: 5:44am On Aug 28, 2020 |
*THE USA REPUBLICAN CONVENTION* Friday 28th August, 2020. The speech by President Donald Trump took a little over 1 hour 5 minutes. Some of the features were: 1. He praised all the good women and men that go out to protect lives of Americans. Meanwhile, he was critical of Biden and his cohorts for not condemning riots, rather, his cohorts sponsoring the riots by bailing rioters. 2. He spoke about securing American borders and creating more jobs, while criticising Bidens, for proposing to open borders and allowing Jihadist's nation's entry into America. 3. He promised to end all socialist relationship, by encouraging local manufacturing and self-subsistaincy as against use of Chinese technology. 4. Biden spoke about raising taxes, while Trump promised to consolidate on building back the American economy, by lowering taxes. 5. He openly lambasted the Democratic Party, by dodging on two occasions, not mentioning *GOD*, in their speech. While he ended his speech by saying, *GOD bless America* 6. He promised to build, enforce and strengthen American schools, health care, lives and properties. While he critised the Democrats of not condemning or mentioning the current security situation, especially on *Black Lives Matters* 7. He came down heavily on Biden for proposing *legalising abortion*. He said, it is cruelty of any to want to kill a child even at 8 months. He said, *all babies deserve to live.* 8. He said, he will never allow a *mob rule* as it continues to happen in Democrats' States under *Black Lives Matters* 9. He promised to come down hard more on immigration to protect Americans and jobs. 10. He also promised to cut down taxes for *hard working mothers.* 11. He called Joe Biden, a *Trojan horse for socialism* and how America will send the first female to the *moon* and be the first to hoist her flag in *Mars* In all of these, I didn't see any American attack each other, but *policies*. Neither Biden nor Trump compromised the rights or sovereignty of Americans. Donald Trump spoke for a little over 1 hour 5 minutes, without reading from any paper, but spoke from his head and same from Biden. They spoke based on their intents if elected. This showed mastery of what they will do if voted into the office and not an *epistle on paper prepared by a personal assistant.* I wished the leaders of this great nation are watching and learning from how the game of politics should be placed. How human lives should be loved and cherished. Also, I wished Nigerian electorates are learning on how to vote people who they believe will deliver and not based on tribal affiliation or religion. *May GOD intervene in the case of NIGERIA* *GOD bless Nigeria* |

"My church", is what the blinded will see and quote. I am not surprised that the sons and daughters of "destined for destruction", will not see all the wrongs of this administration. Allow people to condemn the shortcomings of this bad regime, called administration. Too many promises made before and during re-election, what do we have? What we see now is whatever is placed on the president's table is signed into law. He barely reads. lf not resisted today, many bad policies will come in the next three years. Education / Schools Could Be Shut Again As More WAEC Candidates Test Positive To Covid-19 by Hardtalk: 11:23pm On Aug 21, 2020 |
*Schools Could Be Shut As More WAEC Candidates Tests Positive For COVID-19 In Gombe State* Since the WAEC commencement on August 17th, 2020, 11 students writing the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has tested positive to the COVID 19 virus in Gombe State. As cases increases, all students who tested positive to the virus are under careful supervision and are also isolated in the state specialist hospital in the state. The virus won't prevent them from writing their exams, as they continued their papers from the isolation center. After the news was confirmed yesterday, Idris Mohammed, the chairman of Gombe State COVID-19 task force has stated that 1 student out of the 11 who tested positive has tested negative and has been released. Idris Mohammed also stated that 9 students attending Government Girls Secondary School, Doma, tested positive to COVID-19. Upon the guidelines given, some students still contacted the virus. "There must be more vigilance in the education and other sectors", the Presidential Task Force stated. We hope all students who tested positive to COVID 19 to recover soon and live their normal lives, but as for now all schools should be shut apart from the examination candidates, all other classes should remain shut before our children will become the next positive covid 19 patient. *Opera News Hub* 1 Like 2 Shares |
Politics / International Politics: FG Reciprocates, Bans EU Flights From Nigeria by Hardtalk: 11:55am On Aug 21, 2020 |
Nigeria will enforce the principle of reciprocity in granting permission to airlines to resume operations into the country as it opens its airspace , the Federal Government said on Thursday. According to the government , what this means is that only airlines from countries that allow flights from Nigeria will be allowed to fly into and out of Nigeria . It specifically stated that airlines from the European Union would not be allowed into Nigeria as the EU had recently banned flights and visitors from Nigeria . On July 2, 2020, The PUNCH reported that the Council of the European Union had opened its borders to 15 countries , excluding Nigeria . According to information obtained from the EU website at the time , Nigeria was still not a part of the countries from where visitors were allowed into Europe. Speaking at Thursday’ s briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID - 19, the Minister of Aviation , Hadi Sirika, said Nigeria ’ s position was informed by the ban placed by some countries on flights from Nigeria . The minister, who was represented by the Director-General , Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority , Capt . Musa Nuhu , argued that the decision was taken in the interest of Nigerians. He said , “ On the list of countries ( that are banned ) , we are working on the comprehensive list, but the main one that came up is when the EU opened their borders effective 1st July , Nigeria was among the list of 54 countries that were not allowed to enter the EU . “ To my understanding , as the situation changes , they are going to look at the list and change it. But so far , we don’ t have any contrary information to that first one that Nigeria is banned from going to the EU . “ So , as we open our airspace , we are going to apply the issue of reciprocity to those ( EU ) countries. ” Sirika also stated that airlines would be informed on arrangements that had been put in place to ensure that the resumption of flights were hitch - free . He stated that for now , only a few flights per day would be permitted, adding that they would operate as test runs of the protocols put in place to ensure the safe return to international operations . The protocols, according to him , would be made public in due course. Sirika also stated that inbound international passengers would be limited to 1, 280. He said only this number would be allowed to fly into the Lagos and Abuja airports once international flights resume on August 29, 2020. Punchng.com |

Travel / How Lagos Boat Helmsman Caused 12 Passengers’ Death Over N300 – Police by Hardtalk: 12:47pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu , on Tuesday, paraded a commercial boat helmsman , Bimbo Elebiju , for allegedly causing the death of 12 of his passengers while conveying them to their destinations. The victims were said to have drowned after the wave of a ship sailing along the Kirikiri waterfront made the boat , which engine had been switched off during an argument between Bimbo and his passengers over the fare, to capsize . Odumosu, while parading Bimbo at the command headquarters in Ikeja, said 20 passengers boarded the boat from Kirikiri to Badagry , but while on the way, the passengers disagreed with the helmsman on the fare . Odumosu said Bimbo indicated that the fare was N 1, 500, but the passengers insisted on paying N 1, 200, adding that the helmsman switched off the engine of the boat by the waterfront because of the N 300 difference in fare. He stated that when the ship sailed along , the wave made the boat to drift towards a stationary barge , where it capsized, adding that Bimbo jumped into the water , abandoned his passengers and escaped. While five passengers were rescued, the CP said 10 others drowned, adding that the rescued passengers gave an account of Bimbo ’ s action before the tragedy struck. He said Bimbo was trailed and arrested, adding that he would be charged. Odumosu stated , “ On July 29, 2020, around 5. 45pm, our marine operatives received a distress call that a commercial boat with the inscription : ‘ Mount Zion Transport ’ , fitted with 150HP Yamaha outboard engine , which was conveying 20 passengers from Kirikiri to Badagry , drifted towards a stationary barge and capsized along the Kirikiri waterfront . “ Five passengers were rescued , while 12 corpses were recovered. Three people are still missing . The helmsman , Bimbo Elebiju , swam to safety. Investigation revealed that the accident was caused by the deliberate act of the helmsman . There was an argument between the deckhand and the passengers as to the transport fare. “ Bimbo insisted on N 1, 500 per passenger and the passengers said they would only pay N 1, 200 each . Because of the N 300 difference, the helmsman turned off the engine on a turbulent waterfront . A big ship passed and stirred the water, creating a wave that made the boat to drift towards the stationary barge . The suspect was trailed to his hideout and arrested after the survivors of the accident gave the true account of what happened . He will be charged. ” Punchng.com |

realtalk19: This is the very mistake many do. General hospitals have most qualified staff and their fees well subsidised. With N100k, your total case is settled there. St. Raphael have no mercy when it comes to issues of depositing before operation. Even at critical stage, they will watch the person die rather than offer palliatives. Many previous patients taught them bitter lessons. Meanwhile, for many of you saying scam or sounding sarcastic, may you not find yourself in a situation that may make you do this. lf you want to help him, go ahead, if not keep your mouth shut. 5 Likes |
