Dumb post, from a dump source, which is always attributing anything to a dumb religion, which is believed by dumb people. Anyway, he forgot to add, ''just as the religion is the father of terrorism in the world''. Please Moderator, send this thrash to where it should be, or to the thrash can. Poster, look for a nation developing story or topic that will move our handicap nation forward, and leave this religion talk, becos we saw traces of technology in ancient Egypt, and as at then, Islam was still in a man's groin then.Dumb post, from a dump source, which is always attributing anything to a dumb religion, which is believed by dumb people. Tell me how development will ever come to be in these states, with such statistics? Thats the more reason why many sees the northerners as the "majorest" problem in this nation. What baffles me is that, we are not in a war situation that would have been assummed, they have fled. Even in war-torn nations, they still a good number of doctors. So, what are the governors doing? Dont they have these statistics? SOURCE OF INFO: Newsstar Newspaper. ** Anyone can help post the full details here, for I am using mobile device** |

I am really baffled at people's comment here. Irrespective of what, Yak has done well, I think we should allow his conscience to judge him. Even if many will not like this, give it to the young man, he has tried. We appreciate his own contribution, and urge him to move ahead with his life. National team jersey is not anyone's birthrite. To me, he should have simply apologised, and moved on! Afterall, that miss created the avenue for the clean up in the glass house. We all would have thought, all was well, but for that miss, That miss! That miss!! That mis!!! All should leave Yak alone, |

I wonder why government had to go through this embarrassment, before responding. We are yet to have a purposeful leader(ship),even after 50 years of independence. What we have so far, are shamless theives and "pick-pocketers",if I must use that language. |

Four killed in foiled bank robbery Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji October 27, 2010 02:10AM print email Two suspected robbers were shot dead, and two passersby killed by stray bullets yesterday when armed hoodlums attempted to rob several banks in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. The gang of men had, at about 9am, stormed the banks located in Folagbade area of the town in an 18-seater bus and a Jetta Volkswagen, armed with sophisticated weapons. They were said to have fired sporadic shots into the air, apparently to scare away workers and residents. Passersby ran helter-skelter, while motorists abandoned their vehicles to escape from the troubled spot. Following information received about their presence, the police raced to the scene with Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), thereby forcing the bandits to flee. They took time out to shoot at and deflate the tyres on the armoured vehicle as they run away. Two of the suspects were killed in the shooting, but the rest of the gang escaped. Police promise Banks in Ijebu Ode were shut down some months ago in protest of the incessant bank robberies in the town. They were re-opened recently after the state government purchased the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC). The State Commissioner of Police, Musa Daura, said that the Command was on top of the situation and that he has been in close contact with the Area Commander of the area. “I am still awaiting details from the Area Commander, but I have been in regular contact with him,” Mr Daura said. The police boss urged members of the public to go about their normal duties, promising that the police will not relent in providing adequate security to the people in the state, especially during the last months of the year. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5635155-146/four_killed_in_foiled_bank_robbery.csp |
This nation is collapsing on Jonathan. As for Ayoka, or Mrs. Ayoka, she should take to the path of honour and resign. At her age, she had better repent of that great sin, before she sees GOD. |
Minimum wage: Labour gives FG 14-day ultimatum From FRANCIS AWOWOLE-BROWNE, Abuja Thursday, October 28, 2010 Citing delay tactics by government, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) yesterday handed down a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government within which to initiate the process of implementation of the agreed new national minimum wage. Rising from a six-hour meeting of its National Executive Council (NEC) in Abuja, the organized labour said failure by government to accede to its demand, threatened to embark on a nationwide warning action in the first instance which would last from November 10 to 12, 2010. Also, the union leaders called for the immediate sack of Mrs. Ayoka Adebayo, erstwhile Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti, now in Ondo State over her alleged ignoble role in the electoral fraud in Ekiti State as revealed by the election petition appeal tribunal that annulled former Governor Segun Oni’s election and declared Dr. Kayode Fayemi as the duly elected governor. Addressing newsmen on the resolutions arrived at during the meeting, congress President, Abdulwaheed Omar, explained that the congress could no longer find explanation to the government’s dilly dally over the national minimum wage, which negotiation commenced since 2008 and had to take a position He described as unfortunate that negotiation started since 2008 with a committee set up to work out the modalities after which the committee’s recommendations were subjected to another rounds of negotiation by a tripartite committee which met and made recommendations to government but which had not materialized into any tangible outcome. According to him, “the meeting condemned the delay in the implementation of a new national minimum wage since the conclusion of negotiations early this year and observed that there is a deliberate connivance between government and the private sector to scuttle the implementation of a new national minimum wage. “NEC-in-Session resolved that as a result of this reluctance by government to implement the new national minimum wage several months after the negotiations ended and recommendations made, the Nigeria Labour Congress will embark on a three-day warning strike. “Towards this end, NEC-in-Session resolved to give government the 14-day statutory notice after which it will embark on the warning strike. NEC-in-Session resolved that the three-day warning strike would begin on Wednesday, November 10 to Friday, November 12, 2010.” Consequently, the labour would to set up a National Minimum Wage Strike Committee to drive the process for intensive mobilisation for a very successful strike, by making necessary arrangement with the congress sister organisation, the Trade Union Congress for a successful outing. On Mrs. Ayoka, the NLC NEC resolved to embark on series of protests to demand her removal just as it did to give vent to the demand for the removal of the former chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Maurice Iwu to serve as deterrent to others in her mould. Said he: “NEC-in-Session noted with happiness that the struggle by the congress for a credible electoral process in Nigeria has not been in vain given that the sack of Prof Maurice Iwu and the subsequent appointment of Prof. Attahiru Jega as the new chairman of INEC resulted from the pressure mounted on government by the congress. NEC resolved that congress will give all its maximum support to the new INEC chairman to achieve credible, free and fair elections in 2011.” http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/newsonthehour/2010/oct/28/newsbreak-28-10-2010-001.htm |
