TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by harkheju(m): 7:00pm On Oct 29, 2018
There is no consequence picking option 2..Just swear a court affidavit backing up the names on the certificate...I believe your remaining documents bears your full name.

klexycole:
Evening Ladies and Gents.

The name on my First Leaving School Certificate (FLSC) was written as Chukwuemeka Kunle Siroma (not real name) instead of Chukwuemeka Olakunle Siroma.

Right now, I'm torn between two options, which are;

1. Apply for a new certificate from the ministry of education with the correct names (very costly).

2. Swear a court Affidavit backing up the names on the certificate (affordable).

However, I'm in need of a serious advise as to which to go with. On the other hand, I want to know the consequence of picking option two.

Your honest and valuable submissions would highly be appreciated.

Many thanks.

The question is..are you preparing for summer or winter?
2. Yes, you can use English proficiency letter in place of the English tests..but it depends on schools.. You will have to mail your school to find out sir

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by harkheju(m):
A citizen or a permanent resident can give you SL..but I believe there are conditions attached to it...I stand to be corrected..

1. Rhinewaal doesn't accept letter of proficiency... Had to eliminate d school from my list of schools just to cut cost.
2. You can use student copy of your transcript....
3. You just have to go through the school's website..d documents should be certified ones..I stand to be corrected tho..
4. Google is your friend on this Sir...

kevwemanuel:
Bro please help me with these questions :
1)Does rhinewaal accept letter of proficiency from my Bsc institution?
2)was it student copy of transcript you used?
3)Were your documents certified copies?
4)Do you know if jobs are abundant in rhinewaal's location?

Thank you very much sir..
Highbeeyajibola:
Years u finish ur BSc doesn't matter, using ur entire bsc to apply for another BSc gives u a wife range of options to choose from. According to Anabin.kmk.org, having completed a BSc qualifies to apply for another Bsc even in an unrelated field..i.e if u have a bsc in economics u can apply for another BSc in engineering provide the course is not restricted..

If u decide to use just ur 100l transcript,.. It only qualifies you for a bsc in a closely related field. I. E if u have 100l transcript, u can only apply for courses that are very related or related.

You can check anabin.kmk.org for more enquiries. Use Google Chrome to get d translated version

Am going for a second degree..and my question is am I using just my 100lvl transcripts for admission because I finished 4 years ago...or am I using my Bsc degree itself for another degree program..
2. Since Am applying for winter 2019, can I upload my documents on uniassist dis year?

I would rather prefer you ask your questions here so that others who have same or similar problems with you can learn and benefit from it. And moreover, this will give room for several other experienced fellows to contribute to the issue. Thanks in all

Good to see some newbies creeping in gradually. I will like to leave this words of advice

* kindly read through pages of this thread, start from the very first page, the information contained in the very first page will help you to get started if you are yet undecided. if you possibly can, go through other versions as well eg part two, three and four. Believe me, you won't regret doing so. The information you will get here is a goldmine awaiting for your perusal. You will virtually become much more knowledgeable and be able to help some who are confused.

** Search thoroughly through daad and google for courses that suits your interest, make sure you check the course contents very well so that you know what they are offering and what you stand to get at the end of the day. Don't just enrol into any course you see because you want to travel out, take note guys are getting extra semesters as coping up with the level of their studies no be beans

*** please endeavor to learn the German language while you're preparing to go there for studies. it will help you to integrate very fast and moreover give you access to good juicy offers at will. it seems to be the meal ticket for the basic hustle there. There are several good videos you can download on YouTube while you study them offline, also try to download duolingo app on your mobile device.

**** For science based students, it will be more ideal if you learn programming language before you go for studies, you will definitely not regret doing this if you eventually do. This happens to be another good meal ticket for the basic hustle over there. Germany is a highly technological advanced country and this happens to speak more volumes if you do learn them. You get very good high paying jobs if you learn them and this will even pay you better as you will somehow get to see them in your course of study.

learn the following good programs if you possibly can : python, Java, matlab, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and some database mgt packages

***** Accommodation seems to be quite a problem in some cities mostly the very big ones. so it's good you get yourself acquainted with studentenwerk early enough so as to possibly stand a chance to get a cheaper accommodation as this happens to be the major expenses you will incur per month, unless your papa na dangote, otedola, adenuga, innoson and the very likes.

please endeavor to read through this thread thoroughly, cos if you ask questions that have already been answered here repeatedly, you stand to get people angered including I myself. Even if you need to ask which is not wrong anyway, ask specific questions which appears confusing and not vague questions, someone with such experience will quickly come to your aid. We want you to be a solution to the problems we already have and not being the problem so to speak. Pls endeavor to help one another with your wealth of experience and knowledge. let's uplift one another just like the Jewish people do. One love brethren.

Make I kukuma rest small, I need am wella. lol

Finally put everything to God in prayer.

No..for Rhine-Waal university, you will have to write either TOEFL or IELTS.

BarristerAlarig:
Won't a certified letter from the university stating that English was the language of instruction for the programme suffice??

WARNING: Long read.

Finally, I have my passport stamped with visa!

Interview date: August 16th

Funded BA: August 27th

AM arrival: September 13th

Passport & Insurance submission: September 14th

Passport arrival:September 19th

Thanks to God Almighty who made everything possible. Also, thanks to the wonderful people on here. Actually the journey started September last year after deciding that I would further my studies at Germany. My first call was to register with Goethe Institut Lagos. Secondly, I followed the German student visa thread on Nairaland. While reading through, I saw that I was on the right path. Advices like "knowing the language is the meal ticket here, use google search to get any answer you want, choose your course wisely..." were so helpful. I wanted a bachelor course that has a combination of management and engineering even though I have a CGPA more than enough for a masters degree. After my search on DAAD, I settled to apply to schools that accepts English proficiency letter, such as:
Fachhochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) - B.Eng Business & Engineering.

Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) - B.Eng Engineering & Management (NC).

Hochschule Trier, Umwelt-Birkenfeld - B.Eng Sustainable Business & Technology.

Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) - B.Eng Industrial Engineering/Maintenance and Operation.

I got admission letters from every one of them and settled for FHWS considering important factors.
Here I am today with a visa, German B1 certificate (thanks to my teachers such as Frau Frances smiley, Frau Solomon smiley, Herr Musbaudeen cool, Herr Tunji cool, among others), and a course of my choice (not JAMB choice lol).

Advice for newbies: All you need is on this thread. Go back to as far as 2016 thread. Read and read! You could end up becoming an agent. As for those going for another BSc, prepare for test questions in order to ease pressure that may arise during interview. You can ask for previous transcripts on the test questions. They are helpful. Also, dont just see this opportunity as an escape route. You can settle for that dream course you have always wanted. For those with only WAEC/NECO (which is not equivalent to German Abitur), read through what it takes to make it in Studienkolleg. Be truthful to yourself. If you don't have the capabilities to make the B1 Zertifikat and study in German at Studienkolleg, simply go get registered at NOUN to complete a 100 Level course or get admitted to any other university or get an A Level certificate (Note: check the school's requirements), then apply to German universities. German A1 and A2 are fun, not until you get to B1. Topics like Adjektiv Deklination, Verben mit Präpositionen, and B1 grammars are not child's play. Simply read Jigba's diary on here on Nairaland to learn more.

Bis später!

Good evening house...I'm new on this forum..well am setting my eyes on winter 2019...there is something I really don't understand which is on transcripts...wanted to confirm if I can use "student copy" of my transcripts or better still if I can get the unofficial one from my department which is signed and stamped by my HOD..Because my school won't issue me the "official copy" of my transcripts.
