I wld love to work withe the oil gas n energy sector. So pls fellow reader. Classes wld start in a week. I just need to know that this is right move as an accountant before I pay. I know there r courses in acct and all like ican. Something urges me to try something different @jackjohson. I need your insight on my issue. I m home now with no job. Just quit the last one cuz I really wanna go back to learn. I miss it but is hse D way to go? Thanks y'all.
. In the HSE profession, degrees are not really essential though it could count on certain areas of it.Certifications are the the best way to hit it.though you are not entitled to a job after your certifications bt its an edge.you could take up voluntary jobs to gain xperience

That 'little twist' is the red-flag in your application, tampering with official document like bank statement is a bad idea and could lead to visa ban.
. So I shouldn't apply...my dad advised me to go through his agent...the agent said he could help me...... Mr JUSTWISE should go on with dis application or forget about it

Jesusculture: @harlyon, please forgive my ignorance can you throw some light on ' a little twist on the bank statement' so I can advise further.
. He changed the money figures in it.

I see...both of you used the same bank statement? Who applied first? You or his elder brother?
. We submited on the same day but he was attended to first before me

You really need to find out if the previous document given to you by your friend is forged, if its then the offense is on your record and may affect your next application
. I askd him and he said he did a little twist on the bank statement but what I can't understand is that myself and his elder brother used the same documents bt he was given the visa...bt the little paper that came with my passport when I went to collect it says DOCUMENT LACKS CREDIBILITY..ARRANGE IT AND APPLY AGAIN. I don't intend aapplyin in lagos again bt abuja..what do I do? Should I apply again or I should forget abt it
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by harlyon(m): 12:31pm On Jul 12, 2014

Its possible that the document you were given is forged or can not be verified.
. Okay. I intend applying again dis week with my documents.I want to ask if I can.I applied in may previously

nopsman1: well if he works in a private firm then he's good, private firms don't verify certificates. he shouldn't be carried away with the salary... he still needs to register for one of these part time programmes, so he can fall back on something when his luck runs out....

Yea that's the best advice for him.
I xpect him to start applying for other jobs cos he has gotten some experience to back up

Emchio: I'm using this opportunity to thank all those that have in one way or the other contributed to my Nebosh success- the materials, PQ and encouragements, were all helpful. It's been an experience worthwhile!

Now, that I've made a distinction in Nebosh, coupled with a first degree and masters in Geography& Environmental Management; and Environmental Technology respectively, can someone be helpful enough with an HSE or related job connection?

I will really appreciate such help! Thanks and God bless....
Thanks be to God

ledafaze: Guy,

I love the comments above... I cant pause but say Kudos to those guys...

Why would you? I once had a girlfriend I used to give money monthly too... she left me for no reason and went with another guy, got married and later coming back to me for a secret relationship or sorts of... I sent her away...

Guy, pick her calls only if you have nothing else doing... If you think you still love her, hell NO.. Don't look for another babe, take excitement in something else and decide not to love her again and the love will disappear... after that, look for love elsewhere...

Please sit up, she has learnt her lessons and I wish she's got sisters to teach.

**Secret** It seems you need to break your heart urself a couple of times so you will know when to let go of love... Love is everywhere... If you see a good one - not like this one ure talking about; stick with it and give it ur all... but if it ultimately backfires, that means you are turning into a wiser guy ni yen like me... Sit back up and look for another love... as I've said.. Love is everywhere

Thnks bro

benzion72: It depends on the kind of company he is working with. Corporate organization like banks will cross check, International conglomerate will also verify with his University. But one man business may not. But this world share. People with credible certificate are roaming the street without work. A forger who is qualified to be in prison is working lol
Do you know some fake certificates can be verified?I am talking about certs from accredited institutions.
Am not using one though but I can tell you that 70% of persons working today are using certificates that are fake of which I know.Man must survive

rasputinn: This crime is more rampant in Nigeria today than most people imagine. My wife was flipping through the pages of a newsmagazine some years ago and saw a photo profile of the management of a top multinational and someone that grew up in her estate that went to a polytechnic at that time, wrote in her profile that she attended a University at that time and graduated from the University at the same time she was supoosed to be in the polytechnic. You tell me where she got the university certificate she used to fool that organisation.
Ever heard of Oluwole of old and Otigba of recent
This problem is rampant worldwide.it is not particular to Nigerians only.I have met with a lot of expatraites with fake certificate.most of these expatraites u see in most of our big coys are there with these fakes cert.
Now I know of this british guy who came into town to work.we where working on a project together.time after time we talked and he told me how he got his.there are two ways to get it and it blew my mind.there basically two ways to get it.I don't blame them either.man must survive.
So its a worldwide issue.

I did a diploma in workplace health and safety from ireland and I have a one year experience with julius berger warri.I was in the marine department where I was involved in offloading supplies of goods from tug boats and moving them to storage areas and moving of supplies and equipment to work site.
Will this increase my chances?

left school last year with a ND in business admin.I am thinking of going into into the oil and gas sector and was told to startup with entry level jobs such as roustabouta-roughnecks-floorman etc.currently I am studying a certificate course on subsea oil and gas exploitation in the UK.
I want to ask if this certificate will increase my chances of getting a job as a roustabout or a roughneck

You can go into the safety profession with any degree.the most important thing is the certifications.it matters d most inrespective of what you studied in the university
You can start with NISP certifications, den IOSH Managing Safely.
The most sought after is the Nebosh IGC but its quite expensive
