This is a case of pot calling the kettle black. Tinubu was also a failure during his tenure. It makes me laugh when people start claiming Fashola success to Tinubu. Do you think Tinubu is happy that Fashola is getting commendation everyday. Why do you think there were allegations of skirmishes between the dou. What does it takes for Fashola to go the way of Tinubu. Fashola giant strides are products of his own conscience and belief and not of Tinubu or AC. Tinubu statement is true becos Akala is a failure but it is only a political statement meant to pave way AC victory. Come to think of it, would he have commended Akala if he's doing well? Not in Nigeria. Remember with all BRF is doing, other political interests are still condemning him. |
Since Osaze didn't tell up the "interests", we cant definitely fault Kanu. Kanu himself wasn't used until the last match & he was susbstituted. At least Osaze had his chances in the first 2 matches and he failed to lift up to expectations. May be he was expecting Kanu to speak against the coach's decision not to start him and if that is the case, who is Kanu to challenge the authority of the coach. The same Osaze was the one that said Eagles under Amodu lacks lacked Techinical input from the Bench; the same Osaze first hailed the hiring of Lagerback, he's now saying NFF shouldn't have sacked Amodu simply because he didnt enjoy starter's shirt under the new coach. Osaze is a good & committed player no doubt but he's allowing all the adorations (including ladies wanting to have him ) to get into his head. He feels because he's been voted the best Naija player going into the world cup, he should command automatic shirt. He should keep his cool and try to achieve half of what Kanu has achieved before criticizing him. This attitude of I'm d best has been there even under Amodu but we just overlooked it becos of his contribution; even when Amodu signified interest to substitute him then, he still felt like "me". there was one during the match against Kenya (not too sure now) that he wanted to play either corner kick or free kick & still wanted to go ahead even after being told he's been substituted and the referee had to beckoned to him. Kanu may have his parts of the blame but all of them - players, coaches, and largely NFF are responsible for the failure at SA 2010 |
@ Ranosky, Pls can you repeat your questions again and in big font and I bet none of the mediocres who berates him will have no answers. It takes a successful man who have gone through hard times to appreciate another successful fellow that have gone through the same. But a failure canstigate success because he/she has never gone through the xperience before. have you noticed those people have not posted any comment apart from the 1st page. They should name any sport man of Generation before Kanu and his generation who can boast of Kanu's achievement both off & on the field. If I'm not mistaken, apart from Eto, Kanu is the most decorated footballer in Africa. Shame on you Kanu's haters. In as much as you have freedom of speech & can hide under fake identity to rubish a fellow countryman, you should learn to be truthful in your analysis. For Kanu, remember Obey Commander's song that there is nothing you can do to satisfy human beings. You have done your best. You will remain in our hearts as a true legend |
The longest match in Tennis history lasting 11 hours and five over 3 days is officially over with American John Isner beating Nicolas Mahut 70-68 in the deciding set of their unforgettable first-round encounter at Wimbledon. Isner outlasted Frenchman Mahut to win 6-4 3-6 6-7 (7-9) 7-6 (7-3) 70-68. Meanwhile Haase may push Nadal to another 5 sets thrillers |
Tha's officially the longest in Tennis History Fed is getting weaker day by day. Thnak God he's made it to the next round sha. |
Federer has the highest grandslam titles. He has 16 slams. Pete Sampras has 14 and Nadal has just 6(4 from this same French open).he'll loose the spot if Nadal wins and that will to bad as he needs just the week to beat Pete Sampras record as the longest No.1. Somebody needs to stop Nadal and I havenet seen one that can do that that with the way he plays. Fed played the match like he's tired. too many unforced errors cost the match but in all he's still the best |
one down already. having won on all surfaces, Baba Twins na the best among all. But nadal had shown he is better than Federer on Clay; I just wish Federer can defeat him and put the argument to rest. Fed is my favourite but I respect Nadal so much, he's one player I hate to like, He's improving and catching up with Fed on all grounds. Even when Federer won last year, it's believed because Nadal was knocked out at the fourth round. But this year Federer must make me proud by beating Nadal in the final. Go Fed |
@Poster; I must honesly tell you that on nairaland esp. on your post, i have seen matured responses, all of your choices cannot be outside all of the options given to you on this thread. Honestly, am grateful on his behalf for the honesty and maturity in responding. Keep it up guys, i was almost giving up on the responses we get from NLBelieve me; U took the words from my heart. I was almost giving up on requesting fro advice on any issue on NL because of the ways some Nlaniders make mockery of your situation. I can tell you that 90% of those reading this thread including me & my husby are in this kain situation and have been able to reflect on the responses so far to make a better decision he reason why most of us ask questions like this or seek advice is because of "the fear of the unknown"That's just it. U may think it's going to turn out in one way only for you to see the other side |

WHO WOULDNT WIN WITH MESSI,XAVI AND INIESTA IN your TEAM.LET HIM GO TO ANOTHER CLUB AND SUCCEED LIKE MOURINHO BEFORE U CALL HIM GUD.THAT IS THE UTMOST TRUTH. EVEN MY GRANDFATHER CAN WIN THOSE PLAYERS. PEP HAS SHOWN HE IS A GOOD COACH BUT LET HIM HIM COME TO TEAM LIKE EVERTON, ASTON VILLA OR BIRMINGHAM AND ACHIEVE SOMETHING EXTRA ORDINARY MORE THAN WHAT THEIR COACHES ARE ACHIEVING NOW AND I WILL RATE HIM ALONGSIDE MOURINHO, FERGUSSON ET AL |
For those who thought Messi didn't have any impact yesterday, read this from espn TOOTHLESS MESSI SENDS MAICON TO THE DENTIST Inter Milan goal-scorer Maicon had his night soured when he lost a tooth in an accidental collision with Lionel Messi in his side's 3-1 victory over Barcelona on Tuesday. Brazilian wingback Maicon got the go-ahead goal in the second half of the Champions League semi-final first leg but he left the field on a stretcher after a later incident in his own penalty area that saw his tooth visibly flying through the air. Messi was jumping to head the ball as Maicon retreated on his blindside, and the Barcelona star's left shoulder launched straight into Maicon's face, leaving him strewn across the pitch. Reports claim it was his incisor that was dislodged, matching his incisive run from the back that allowed him to fire home from inside the six yard box. It was probably the biggest impact Messi had on the match in a toothless performance of his own as Inter executed a perfect stifling gameplan to claim a comprehensive win. It's uncertain how seriously Maicon's dental troubles will affect his ability to play in upcoming matches, including the semi-final second leg at Camp Nou next week. |
Jose Morinho for life.SPOT ON It only shows that no team in the world is perfect. What other teams like my dear Arsenal failed to realize was that Messi is good but he is not the most dangerous player in Barca. It's Xavi and once you neutralize Xavi you have definitely cut Messi to size and that's what Mourinho did |
@rasputinn,ás a HiTV agent,I put it to you that messi played, but somehow our cameras couldn't find him. . . oh my God ![]() |
Prof doesnt need to change th youth policy to win the EPL. You must ask why in the first place is he doing that, at least he has not been practising that since his appointment. He has two objectives but limited options. One is either to spend on big players and spend large amount on wages thereby plunging the club into huge debt portfolio or minimize his spending while servicing the debt (stadium). AW chose the 2nd option and the shareholders are not against that. I'm sure when the debt has finally been paid off, Arsenal will ave lot of money for whomever is appointed to buy big players. Sacking him is not the best solution. Chelsea had been sacking coach for the past 3 years & had not won the EPL. Madrid spent fortune on players and as at today cannot lay claim to any trophy. True fans stay with their club even if they in 4 tier divisions of any league. |
Is that what u got for your oldman?I dont av any one around & even if I do I can buy am as long as we communicate ![]() |
how unpredictable football can be? Arsenal with half of the first team regulars missing was a goal down by halftime Chelsea with the full strength first 11 2 goals down by half time to the same team. I suspect there is a grudge between Chioma, Funke and Muma Gee even before this Reality TV Show. I said this because I cant place the reason why there was so much hatred among the ladies listed above. Imagine at the starting point of the show, it was Funke, Princess and Chioma against Muma Gee.SPOT ON. Especially Chioma, me think she doesn't like her at all. She showed and expressed it. Even Funke once said she doesn't know Muma gee at all, never heard of or seen her except during this show. For somebody in an Art industry, I think she was being economical with the truth. Even the confusion between Princess and Daddy Showkey may extend beyond this show and that's what they should all guard against considering their status in the society |

Quote from: dayokanu on Yesterday at 04:29:12 PMOdiaero, una don start again, you don reach this thread. na wa for you o. because Chelsea did not qualify for quarterfinal all the other EPL teams no go rest? na dem fault say una no qualify? we know your type, na pull down syndrome dey worry una ![]() |
na wa una, una no get another work to do? of the topics & sections wey dey NL, na only Arsenal una get to discuss. Arsenal lost, no wahala, Arsenal was not the first team to lose a match & against Barca. We lost & we are gracious in defeat. that has become the past and we shall move on. The Coach, players, fans & everybody know say Arsenal lost against the best team & the best player in the world, so whatz the fuss about that? Some people tried to give excuse for the defeat but I believe that even if the 1st team of Arsenal were to be on field yester night, barca may still win with a slim margin. Wenger played with what he has and no coach will have done better with the same set of players available. After all Mesi played in the first leg, what magic did he performed? he was simply marked out by song, Gallas, Vermaleen & Sol Campbell. Common give Arsenal a break. For the only EPL team left, I wish Man U good luck as it will be bad not having any EPL team in the semis. |
Barca go hear wen [img][/img]
