Politics / Re: Grid Challenges: Continued Efforts To Enhance Stability - TCN by Harrisonwo(m): 8:58pm On Mar 31
The national grid should be unbundled and turned regional.
Every region should generate, distribute, and maintain their own grid and excess generated sold to other region.
We can't continue depending on our dilapidated, old, and outdated transmission system and expect a different result

Where was that ewu called Peter Obi?
This is the John Okafor that carried Peter Obi on his head like dada.

You see what you get when you support a selfish idiot?

Was John issue brought out clearly. At first when the issue came up, people assisted but money issue n mismanagement happened which was kept under wraps n secrets until it was late

Hahahaha, the obidents will still criticized him for not intervening on time or possibly why he didn't do for Amaechi and John Okafor tooo

I can tell you for a fact that amaechi would have gotten more than enough for his operation from good spirited Nigerians. John was quite unfortunate because it was almost late before help could come through

EEDC are thieves. How did that community owe you 2billion naira? I'm 100% sure they used estimated billing. Let the community ignore them and lobby to join geometric with prepaid meters.

The bills will have to be offset first (either community pays or GPP buys off).
Then GPP will have to buy existing infrastructure of the EEDC before anything

Do you think a currently serving corp member can progress to TS?

I took access Bank test last week, and I'm hoping

I doubt because NYSC discharge/completion cert is very vital during the documentation process

Wow!

It's the kind of job I'm eying for now. I'm also a fresh graduate who is serving at present. I have plans for applying for banks graduate trainee jobs even during this my service year.

If I were you, I would take the job.

Pls, how much do they pay fresh graduate that has just been employed?

Also, I heard that they pay during the training as well .

During training school, they pay stipend which is manageable but well above the minimum wage. Once you scale through TS, it's when you will know the pay + allowances+ every every on the offer of employment letter..

They go feed you well during TS 🤣
Politics / Re: Qatar Makes U-Turn, Accepts Nigeria's Proposed Business Meeting by Harrisonwo(m): 5:39pm On Feb 25
If I were the president, I will cancel that meeting entirely.
They made it clear in their letter that no business deal was discussed before hand, so why still going?
The ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of economy should be sanctioned seriously for their lapses. As it stands now, the president of at all he goes will be going there for photoshoot and nothing concrete to come home with in summary.
The president should sit home and use his time to work on our economy in-house first. And if he succeed, he can use his second tenure (if he gets re-elected) to scout for foreign investment

Your preceding statement is of no value, for telling us to abandon a strategic area for other expansion

By relaying asphalt on a good motorable road instead of expanding the road. A good portion of roads outside owerri municipal is tight which you know.
After relaying asphalt, he will call one guy like that to come commission it as if he did it from zero with his name to it.

ie the strategic roads in very bad condition should be abandoned for other expansion?
Lol, seems Rochas okorocha was your mentor.

There's a way to react on a public forum without sounding stupid

And if you weren't stupid and blind, you would have seen where I said it's by raining season we would know the quality of job done.

You and I know that he is just relaying the asphalt on those road. What he should have done is expand the existing road network.
This current work, once the rain come we will know the level of quality done

Nigerians are pleading with the okpolor eyes to take the country back to how he met it during GEJ era where people can buy things cheap and fuel was extremely cheap.

The okpolor eyes came to steal, kill and destroy. It's a good thing the protest has already begun. The SW are leading the protest. We the SS and SE we relax and watch them while enjoying the show. Soyinka the clown has suddenly become mute because his tribesman is the president.

So they can have strength to protest again.

Look at this foolish Zombie. You can't start protesting against a government less than a year. But in less than a year the government can break all records know to man about misgovernance.
The government can allocate billions to itself for SUVs, rice palliatives, renovations and jumbo trip abroad while causing hyperinflation in the process. The government can tell the Citizens to bear pain of subsidy removal and fx floating while enjoying the largesse of billions of taxpayers money in less than a year abi.
May you and your fellow zombies never know peace.

I am not the reason why your life is so miserable. If you can decipher what sarcasm is, just jump into the lagoon.

They seem not to be in touch with reality. People are really really suffering and all we keep hearing on the social media is sharing of this and that.

May God help us in this 2024.

Anybody who protest should be sh*t. You can't start protesting against a govt that's less than one year old. We should give them time to turn things around
Politics / Re: A VERY VERY Wrong Time To Be An Adult In Nigeria by Harrisonwo(m): 7:26pm On Jan 06
I Love my country but not the citizens because majority are just 😷.
In 2015 prior to the election, I told those who cared to listen that APC will win but Nigerians will suffer it. How do you vote in someone who had absolute power in the military then and couldn't do sh*t with it until he was booted out less than 2yrs in power? Who almost crumbled the country.
And yet again still returned them in 2019 after failing the economy within 4yrs?
2023 election wasn't surprised by the result going by how my country men reason. My slogan was any party but APC and any one who helped to foster the party in 2015 should go to the center..
Anybody who voted in calamities from 2015 till date and turn around to complain, make thund*r pieces him scrotum.
As it stands, the country is going down and irredeemable except we experience the Ghanaian type of revolution. If you get opportunity, JAPA

smallrincowis16:

Don't you see your own bias, so a Nigeria will attack an easy going soldier to your mind? How will Palestinians attack isreal when isreal keep arresting killing them in daily basis?

Do isreal will arrest someone unprovoked. Check those arrested, they have issues or clashes. Even the release clause self was that no murder will be released
Foreign Affairs / Re: Hamas Releases Video Of Hostages Handover by Harrisonwo(m): 12:56pm On Nov 26, 2023
smallrincowis16:

How will they accept when all is economy will still be controlled by the Isreali, aren't you sitting Ukrainian that have more autonomy?

Hamas gets taxes from imports through the Sinai into Gaza plus budgetary allocation from westbank(PNA). They have their own govt but what do they do with the money? Rocket, guns, bombs against isreal. The blockage is against undocumented people from Gaza going into isreal.
Gaza is an autonomy state and get funded from foreign bodies too. What are they using the money for if they hope on isreal for fuel, water, and what not
Foreign Affairs / Re: Hamas Releases Video Of Hostages Handover by Harrisonwo(m): 12:52pm On Nov 26, 2023
smallrincowis16:

It shows how bias you're. Do you now how many strike and abduction Isreali carry out in daily basis in West Bank even though they pay closer to zero threat to isreal?

Check how westbank came to be under isreal control. Then isreal gave up a percent of west bank but the other side of westbank already had Palestine citizen in it who isreal can't displace. Now the arrest going on is on the isreal controlled area and not the PNA area.
Those arrest are Palestine attacking soldiers. In Nigeria, can you as a citizen attack your soldiers without getting shot?
What should be against is the radicalization of Palestine citizens while PNA negotiate for more land control
Foreign Affairs / Re: Hamas Releases Video Of Hostages Handover by Harrisonwo(m): 12:34pm On Nov 26, 2023
Harnny:

because the PNA has no authority whatsoever and Israel continues to treat Palestinians in westbank as subhuman. Isreali settlers continues to take homes and lands from the people of Palestinians in west bank and PNA can't do shit about it. That is the kind of arrangement Isreal wants in Gaza as well...but Gaza resisted. Hamas is not even fighting for the release of people in Gaza, they fighting for the release of mostly people unjustly arrested and detained in the Occupied West Bank. It's so easy for you to criticize these guys because they are not fighting for your cause. If Ibos are treated like second-class citizens even in Anambra, a lot of them will low key have sentiments toward IPOB. If farmers are being killed their lands are being given to Fulani settlers and those who raise concerns are being killed or arrested. does it even make sense for Israel to be offering a small percentage of land? does it make sense for them to keep settling? They already have a region, but they keep expanding and settling knowing fully well that occupied regions are not theirs. If someone comes to take my land from me. I would fight back no matter how powerful that being is even if I am being labeled a terrorist. Thats what you would do too.

First off, west bank, sinai, gaza fell to isreal control as a spoil of war after the Arab war. But the eqyptians were able to negotiate to reclaim Sinai.
Isreal has already given up a certain percent of westbank to control of PNA. And further negotiations are on for more control.
Those land are spoils of war, isreal has even given control of Gaza to PNA who lost to Hamas. The blockage is because Hamas has been using Gaza to attack isreal. But Gaza has their own government.
Westbank is relatively peaceful in the PNA controlled side.
Hamas should have continued the negotiations but instead want isreal to seize to exist. How many times have isreal been attacked using those territories. Jordan still stands because they played neutral after their first heavy loss.

Bringing the context to Nigeria, after the civil war, the igbos have been considered second class citizens and there is always this ethnic tension again them. Now this is only after one civil war oo. What happens if they go on countless attack on the Nigeria nation, when then would you expect the govt to do. I don't support IPOB/ESN actions because I believe more in dialogue than bloodshed but the Nigeria state have refused dialogue.

Now placing it along side the Fulani issue, the Fulani have their own territory defined but intrude into another territory unprovoked. The comparison is baseless here.

Now bring that context to Gaza/Hamas/westbank, the isrealis are open to negotiations which the PNA is ready for but Hamas is more radical
