God bless GEJ wherever he is (like him or hate him). Pundits predicted Ebola was going to make a mess of Nigeria if it enters. it entered but the govt was proactive and very serious.
these set of never-do-wells had the time advantage to prevent this from being serious, instead of working.. The stupid minister(una know am) was busy jumping from one TV station to another saying we are prepared. serious govt were closing their borders and all but our never-do-wells never cared, highest they run go London and USA for treatment. Now the virus is here and its showing how unserious the never-do-wells are. at least they could have scored a good political point cause that's what they are after

They denied the professionalism of Barca just because we overturned the 3-goal lead, they said ATM were better off. YOU can't overturn 1-goal lead. They hyped Spanish teams, insulted English teams. They said you can't give ATM unreplied two goals unless YOU got Penaldo in your team, they forgot the Penaldo couldn't even secure a single tap against Lyon.

They said ATM were the best thing to happen to La Liga, even though i can't find them on the Top 5 spot.

They forgot Anfield is a fortress, they forgot we are mighty reds and we are unstoppable.
Next time tell ATM to buy bags of cement and block their goal post, that may save them.

These jokers even said we won't be able to score after 80 mins, we broke all their imaginary rules. We have done it again, Next

Crime / Ex ABU Vc's Daughter Abducted by Harrisonwo(m): 8:32pm On Feb 09, 2020
Some gunmen on Friday night invaded the residence of former Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha and kidnapped his 35-year-old daughter who is a mother of three.
The gunmen, it was gathered invaded the residence located at Hayin Malam Jama’a in Sabon Gari LGA, of Zaria city at about 11:30pm.
It was learnt that before they could gain access to the residence, the security guard on duty was shot and after that headed straight to the former Vice chancellor’s apartment.
A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent that the armed men forced out occupants of the house, including the daughter who was on a visit from Lagos.
The source added that the gunmen wielded sophisticated weapons, describing the entire situation as “terrifying.”
He said there was resistance and shootings all over the place and in the process one of the bandits was killed.
“In fact we suspected that they must have an informant who must have conducted a survey of the area,” he said.
He said the bandits, who made away with the Professor’s daughter, had yet to call to place their demands while appealing to the government to beef up security in the area.
The source said: “The gunmen invaded the former VC’s residence in a commando style and headed straight to the Prof’s apartment.
“They (gunmen) ordered one of the security guards on duty to lead them to Professor’s room. The security man attempted to run and he was shot.
“But they eventually had their way inside the house where they forced occupants, including the daughter who came from Lagos on a visit.
“The bandits are yet to call to make demand since the incident on Friday night.”
Kaduna State police Command on Sunday confirmed the incident.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo, said the operatives of the command on getting the distressed call on the incident, moved into action and neutralised one of the bandits.
He said the security guard shot at the professor’s residence was responding to treatment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika in Zaria where he was rushed to.
Sabo also said one AK47 magazine loaded with twenty four (24) live Ammunition and a techno handset were recovered from the body of bandit while Seven (7) empty shells of AK47 ammunition were recovered at the scene of the incident.
The police spokesman, said in a statement : “On 07/02/2020 at about 2340hrs, the Command received a distress call through DPO Samaru Division Zaria that, some unknown Armed Men entered the residence of Professor Abdullahi Mustapha former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, shot and injured one Zayyanu Abdullahi a security man and took away Maryam Abdullahi Mustapha a 35 year old daughter of the Professor.
“On receipt of the information, teams of Policemen were promptly mobilized to the scene, engaged the hoodlums in a serious gun duel and successfully neutralized one of the bandits who died on the spot and several of the attackers escaped with gun injuries.
Exhibits recovered on the body of the neutralized bandit includes an AK47 Magazine loaded with twenty four (24) live Ammunition and a techno handset while Seven (7) empty shells of AK47 ammunition were recovered at the scene of the incident.
“However, the bandits succeeded in running away with the victim in the heat of the gun battle.
“The injured security man is currently receiving treatment at ABU Teaching Hospital Zaria and is responding positively, while efforts are on top gear to rescue the victim and apprehend the perpetrators with a view to bringing them to book.
“The Command assures the Public that, it is doing everything possible to ensure that the victim is rescued unharmed and appeals to the general public to support the Command with useful information that could help overcome the present security challenges.”

The proliferation of mushroom political parties is the bane of a vibrant opposition politics in Nigeria. These are paperweight political parties with little or no input to our democracy. Methinks the list should be further whittled down to say 8 at most.

But it will do Nigeria more good if Independent Candidature is introduced in our electoral laws. The party system has failed in Nigeria. Nigerian political parties and her members lack clear cut out ideologies. They are all flying blind and switch sides at will. It really sucks.

That's part of the training I mentioned earlier. You don't fire your rifle in jubilation. Only an indisciplined person does that. Secondly, if you must discharge your weapon without a target, the barrel must be facing a safe direction, preferably angle 45 degree.

the personnel was plainly careless and stupid
Politics / Re: NSCDC bans display of Firearms at Public events by Harrisonwo(m): 12:59am On Jan 30, 2020
Phemorinho:

There is nothing like accidental discharge like you said, but firing a rifle requires 3 steps.
For AK family ....open fire selector, c o c k the rifle and press the trigger. (3steps).
So, for someone to fire accidentally is not accidental, he/she must have the intention to fire.
In the instant case, the officer in question must have left the fire selector open and didn't remove his finger from the trigger, Or he must have put the fire selector on rapid.
But if he was carrying a G3 rifle, the rifle usually has a great disadavtage. The chamber might not have been totally rid of ammo, which must have spilled out and hit the victim.
In all my grammar sha, the officer did not exercise due care, skill and professionalism as a rifle man (rifle creed). He is at fault.

if AK-bullet might have already be lodged in the chamber and safety is off. remember the report was security personnel were shooting in jubilation. so automatically, safety is off and ak lodges bullet immediately shot is fired. my question is, why face d barrel down instead of up

though na politician, the late man wasn't a public office holder. so it's for the CG to delegate either the ACG of that zone or imo commandant to see the governor on his behalf. if it affected a public office holder or former public office holder, the CG fit make time to come just for the camera and free publicity. Politics / Re: APC Takes Over Imo House Of Assembly by Harrisonwo(m): 11:12am On Jan 29, 2020
Sunnycliff:
Imo politicians are the worst set of politicians in this country.

Imo: Nigeria's Capital of Political Runs Men and Food is ready Politicians.
By Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere

Lack of alternative means of sustainable survival has turned 80% of Imo politicians into shameless politicians who eat their vomit.

1. From 1999 to 2007...They wined and dined with Dr. Achike Udenwa and immediately the succession process started, they broke into aggressive camps ready to sink and destroy the man who fed them for 8 years.

2. Some followed ARARUME slept at his Isiebu Mansion but few seconds after Charles Ugwu was announced as the chosen one, they left Ararume and started praising Charles Ugwu who never won the primaries and left Ararume to stand in the Cold and they stopped going to Isiebu

3. Enter Chief Martin Agbaso: Immediately Martin Agbaso of APGA was announced as the chosen one, these same men moved without shame to Agbaso and started chanting "Ochudo the God sent"... After the election was declared inconclusive and a new one set, they jumped ship without waiting to finish the fight.

4. Enter Chief Ikedi Ohakim: Immediately Ohakim was announced as the consensus/compromise candidate under the PPA platform, these same men from PDP, APGA, ACN etc all flocked to the camp of Ohakim and the Chant of "Ochinawata" rented the air and they suddenly claimed that Ohakim was the messiah they have been waiting for.

5. Gang up against Ohakim : Immediately the bread and butter did not spread well, some of them now discovered that Ohakim was not the messiah and the kick him out mobilization and propaganda started. They moved from different allaince to another, from ACN to APGA and some back to PDP at last minute to collect money to remedy what they have already distroyed.

6. Enter Rochas: Rochas from a distant 3rd rating emerged victorious in the midst of these confusions and the same people who preached against Owelle didn't wait for swearing in to jump ship again and started worshipping Owelle in search of the their usual bread and butter.

The Dishonorable Honorable: the era of Owelle came with the emergence of empty stomach honorables who couldn't wait for the House to be composed before decamping and abandoning the party under which platform they were elected. With due respect this era started with late Benjamin Uwajimogu and his gang of food is ready honourables

Before Owelle could finish his 1st term and immediately after the 2015 election what ever that was left of these elements both from PDP, to APGA etc all emptied into Owelle faction of APC and even formed their Agburu camp.

7. Rochas last moments: In Furtherance of the New Imo Political tradition of anything goes, immediately succession time was announced, they broke into dangerous camp ready and willing to kill themselves. The fight got messy with Hope's last minute entrance into APC and before you could say jack, decampment and counter decampment was all over the air driven by selfish interest clothed under the guise of public interest.

AA to the rescue: majority of them moved to AA in a bid to enthrone the anointed Inlaw while the rest went to Hope, Ihedioha etc..
No Shame: same people who praised owelle as god, took campaign mic to tell us how evil their master once benefactor was, some Honourable members who passed budget without seeing the content for Owelle's sake now saw him as an evil man because their interests had been blocked.

By the time election was over they had all destroyed themselves and their name but could not emerge winner.

Enter Ihedioha: With emergence of Ihedioha, these same men who campaigned against Ihedioha could not wait for swearing before jumping ship and prasing Ihedioha in search of their bread and butter... The Speaker then, Acho Ihim who decamped to become Owelle's choice for Speaker and decamped to AA to become Uche Nwosu's Deputy Governorship could not not show any public restraint in dumping his Guber candidate who was at the Tribunal in decamping to PDP including other Honoourables and so called politicians of note.

Ihedioha was the beautiful star and they all crawled from their hideout to join him including the newly elected AA and APGA Honourables decamping to join his party

Enter Uzodinma: With the Supreme Court installation of Sen. Hope Uzodimma as Governor, before he could reach Owerri for his swearing in, these same Imo politicians have started flocking around him and telling stories of how they were the ones who delivered the non existing 388 units.

Before Uzodimma could reach Owerri in company of the same Okorocha and his anointed Inlaw that Hope claimed he came to rescue Imo from their hands, the Honourable members in following with the new tradition of "whereever Belle face na front " have dumped their parties and joined APC from their PDP, AA and APGA platform all in a bid to secure their big stomach and ensure food flows under the usual talk of supporting government to succeed. The usual cross carpeting is just starting with even the little unknown before PDP state Chairman whose only aspiration was to be Transition Committee Chairman of Okigwe LGA under Ohakim before Ihedioha helped install him as PDP Chairman has now abandoned the party he once led just a couple of weeks after losing at Supreme Court. The likes of Acho Ihim who crossed from PDP to APC to AA to PDP was seen again at the APC rally for Princess Onuoha crossing to APC again.

Across the state, these men of bread and butter whose only hope of surviving and feeding their families is to without shame follow anybody in power and eat their vomit in a bit to remain relevant have started their seasonal game which will continue to expand until the occupant is out and they will return to knock on the door of anybody as long as u hold the carrot of governance.

In Imo today, honour, consistency, value and respect to friendship is now irrelevant, thanks to the new political gangsters that have taken over the stage in the last 2 decades or so. Its now the politics of follow him if he has bread in his bag and betray him if his bread has finished.
Young ones are now learning very fast that in Imo politics honor is for the dogs and the few who keep faith and follow are seen as those who are mugu. When I look at myself and the over 10 years I have put in opposition politics and consistency to sacred values of friendship and still I did not die of hunger or beg for food, I ask my fathers and brothers in Imo and the masters of the new Imo Political runs traditions, when will these dances of Shame stop?

Cc: Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere.

its called crude swap, we can even give him tax holiday, anyhow anyhow if we give him 300000bpd free of charge for him to refine making sure that he keeps some for gain and refining cost , we would have eliminated cost of shiping crude abroad and shiping petrol back

that won't solve the problem, how many litres per barrel will be gotten (40-70 litres) max 21mil litres at 70 per barrel. whats our daily consumption rate. remember he keeps some million litres from the 21m for gain.
dangote ref. process 750k bpd. that means he buys 450k outside, how much will FG sell to him...

if the cost of crude production and shipping cost cost $20 per barrel and sales at international market say $50. profit $30per barrel, dangote can propose to buy our oil at $45per barrel as against $50 and FGN will jump at his offer... remember that crude don't always have steady buyers ie December cargo can still be on ground awaiting buyers.

I just laugh when FGN always harp on dangote refinery. The cement monopoly should have opened our eyes
