Good morning guy's,
Please is it compulsory to have proficiency in French language before you can apply for bsc admission through campus d france

Not compulsory, only depends on your course requirements. French is needed for French taught courses (level B2 minimum) and English as well for English taught courses, but in most cases you can simply get a language exemption letter for your uni.

Please I need list of schools/universities that offer courses in English in Abidjan. I visited International university of Grand Bassam's website and discovered that their tuition is on the high side (2.7 million Cfa). Anyone with useful information should just help out.
Cc Harzontorh

The Universities that offer English courses in Ivory Coast are expensive, i.e High tuition fee.
Nevertheless contact these 2 schools. First is Govt. ,second is a private uni.

University of Abidjan - http://uniabidjan.com/students-2/
University of Science and Technology of Ivory Coast - http://www.rusta-ustci.org/contact.htm

Get ECOWAS passport.
The other country immigration officers eyes dey red.

Travel safe to avoid unnecessary embarrassment.

If at all you want to to get a Passport, get the International passport. ECOWAS Passport is somewhat useless !

P.S; You DO NOT Need a PASSPORT to enter any Ecowas State.

There is a new platform called parcoursup, it's specifically for undergraduate. All you have to do is inquire from your school if you need to apply for an admission through this platform or you can search for it on Google for more info.

The Parcousup is the replacement of the old admission system called ' admision post-bac'.
Its meant for prospective students who hold A French Nationality. Not for international mobilities.

I am a Nigerian, Yoruba to be precise. I desire to visit Abidjan towards the end of January into the new month. I will like anyone with credible information on visiting this destination to assist with the following questions in order to facilitate my planning.

1. Where do I find direct road transport to Abidjan? How much is the fare and how long is the journey?

2. Can you recommend safe and lively neighbourhoods with affordable hotels (like NGN8,000 - 10,000 ish per night) and great nightlife too?

3. Kindly also suggest interesting places one can visit at Abidjan (Hoping I can do Yamoussoukro too).

4. My french speaking is quite low due to lack of practice. What are my chances to get by through each day?

5. Advice on food, commuting the city (bus, cab or bike), shopping, pictures (yes, lots of them), emergency and friendliness of the citizens are most welcome.

Having fun is what I make it, but your information will go a long way to achieve that.

Looking forward to your responses guys. Help a brother out.

Hello Man, International Universities in Ivory coast is a no go area. Its very expensive. I mean very expensive. Unless you speak french and could pass some certain examinations. Also you may try AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF BASSAM. All other Private instututes and Gande Ecoles are partially French/English, Hence you may still need French.

Good day nairalanders.I currently live in Lagos, married with 2 kids of primary school age.I'm currently tired of the Nigeria business atmosphere. I want to relocate to Abidjan by January 2019 with my family,as I speak about 50% French, my wife too, been that we have been trading cars between Cotonou and Nigeria.

My questions*
(1)
Can I be able to set up a private business in Abidjan with #2million naira I have saved
(2)What can I be buying in Nigeria and selling in Abidja, since I'm already used to the west African borders and south education on ECOWAS and NEPAD treaties?
(3)what part of the country will be suitable for me and my family?

ill advice you move asap,, you have all it takes!

(4)outside the #2million for business purpose, can I be able to buy a car that I can always drive to Nigeria during the Yuletides?

(5)been that Lagos has almost all goods,What particular items can triple my money when sold in Abidjan?

(6)Are their Authorities (police) flexible?

(7)what transport company can convey good from Lagos to Abidjan and the modality for settlement ?do I pay every expenses in Nigeria, including all custom charges before my goods can be moved to Abidjan?

Please your candid advice will be highly appreciated.

It's seems it as become imperative of me to talk since you mentioned orelope transport even though I didn't want to chuk mouth earlier when you were asking if there is other alternative transport aside ejigbo. Well your best bet would have been to just enter cotonu and take UTB to abidjan direct.but since you still consider orelope transport I can give you the first hand info.orelope leaves on Sundays to and fro from abidjan and Wednesday. Sundays bus fee is 20k naira or 30kcfa depending on the currency you which to pay with. The duration of Sunday buses is 3days that means they arrive on Tuesday and they usually carry goods along while that of Wednesday which is 27k naira or 40kcfa usually don't carry goods along and they arrive the following day which is Thursday.Sunday buses are not ac fitted while that of Wednesday is ac fitted.

100% CORRECT!!

Thank you very much for the response, please what's CVEC?

The CVEC was adopted in March 2018 under a new law on “Student Orientation and Success.” Its purpose is to improve student services, specifically in the areas of social life, health, culture, and athletics.

The funds raised through the CVEC program will finance activities whose primary beneficiaries are students. These will take a variety of forms—among them access to health care, social support, recreational opportunities, and artistic and cultural events. The result will be an overall improvement in student services and support.
