Please if a foundation is 3feet deep, what number of courses of blocks should be laid if I want to have only one course outside the foundation?

(1) You must not pass through your living room or dinning before you enter your lobby to your bedrooms. I wouldn't want every guest to determine who I accommodate by mere visit neither will I enjoy to-and-fro transit of individuals when I eat in the dinning. That's just me please.

(2) When I am in your living room, I should only have access to the lobby leading to the bedrooms through a door in the ante-room (waiting room)........The only access I should have from your dinning to your lobby should be through your kitchen.

I see houses that have anteroom directly leading to living room and dinning and straight to lobby and bedrooms as archaic or 'old fashioned'. That's my opinion please, sorry if it offends you.

I think it all depends on the zoning of the spaces and how the owner prefers to access each space in his house.

Your mix ratio has a role to play in the number of bags to be used too.

What should be the best mix ratio for a solid deck?

The area is about 220sqm
And the number rod irons used here is not determined by the area but by the structural design.

So I would prefer you follow your own structural design for that information because the design of your slab and this one may not be the same.

We have successfully completed the first floor decking of this project. We used 55 Tons of Granite.
2 Trips of 25 Tons Sharp sand. 132 Bags of Cement.

Coming to the rods, I have seen some people use 12mm for the bases and 16mm for the pillars.

Blinding is to correct the uneveness of the excavated trench and also to provide cover for the rebars.

In this case we blinded the column bases first because the wall strips do not have any rebars on them and to prevent the iron bender walking over them during placement of the rebars.

So what you are saying is that it's not totally out of place to stand the columns first before proceeding with the strips blinding?
