Thought as much. That keyboard, I wonder how guys excel in it. No wonder I haven't used a phone in like 4 months.

It wasn't really rubbish. I just transcribed what I thought I heard. I'm sure the reviewer empathized with me. It was really ridiculous, felt like slapping the customer through my screen.
Thank God for small mercies.
Lmao... Just wanted to slap the customer on my screen.

This was my problem when I first started, especially with Bleep calls.
I'll be like "guy, what are you saying". It was really annoying.
I dey avoid them like plague.

I was working on a call about 10 minutes ago. I couldn't hear the customer. she had this bedroom voice and I had exhausted all my release tokens. I got angry and started transcribing rubbish. Guess what, I was rated 5. lol. unbelievable
OMG!
So, this was what Arlene was talking about initially. That Africans are the ones mostly giving bad returns.

This must be one of the reasons we can't get into Rev. cry

grin grin Lol. @ the bolded. You na boss for transcription na. Wot could I possibly tell u that u don't already know?

I make use of my phone and laptop. I use laptop when there is light or when my system is charged. I make use of my phone when my laptop is dead. I have a 30,000mAh power bank so I don't have to worry about my phone battery being low.

Are there certain times I pick calls?

Not really. I normally pick long fc uk(at least 20 mins) calls sha. I had to adapt to the fc uk accent because there are times that the only calls that are on queue some times. As long as the audio of the call is okay, I have no issue with it.
Cool.
I just don't have the zeal and energy you have to do calls that long, lol.
And to think EPL is starting soon. Kuku kill me.

So, for phone, that technical keyboard works for you?

My qa payment for this week.

It could have easily been over $90 if all my calls were rated before cut off...

Making $100 a week on qa is not really a big ish like some people here feel. Once u take ur time to study and find ways to improve then you'll definitely be able to cash out big on a weekly basis.

For those asking if qa transcription can be a full time; Yes, it definitely can if u put ur heart to it.

For those that believe the platform is rigged against Africans; I am an African(Nigerian) and I made $81 last week (minus bonus) with back to back 5 and 4 ratings. If you believe they edit ur transcript after u submit, trust me, you will get frustrated and won't be able to take full advantage of qa transcription.

The tin dat has really kept me going is the fact dat I believe whatever a filipino can do, I can do much better because I am a Nigerian
Meanwhile, for the sake of further learning, I need some tips.
That feat up there is no joke.

It's not only about determination.
Tell us something we don't know.

Do you use a phone...
Are there certain times that you pick calls...
Just tell us something.

This is not a problem. It should not deter you from picking other jobs. FAQ says so.

Given that the page has gone up to 40+, you can read the first 5 pages and then the last 5. If you feel there's a need to know more, then read on. If not, just ask your questions. I'm sure you'll get an answer.

N.B: This job is for the very patient.
Like, patience, perseverance, etc.
If you're not the type that reads a lot, you're likely not making any reasonable amount until after two weeks or more.
You're also likely to get kicked out from their company because of horrendous jobs.

But if you eventually get it, boom!!!

I did not remember missing any content or any response except the one customer interrupts shortly while a rep is talking.
I have been given yellow card too..it remains red card
I assume you use a phone. By chance, did you utilize the escape button?

Have you clarified that particular call on Slack?

There was absolutely no need for that statement. That is a direct insult. The conversation was all good until she made that statement...
I've noticed it several times. She most times tries to chip such in as if we won't always notice.

I don't know why I always have inverted speaker. That's probably the only problem I noticed I do have. Despite carefully going back to review it over and over before submitting. Are this people really responsible? Because it's so tiring and annoying to finish a long call and maybe someone that reviews it is responsible. Or maybe it's from me? I don't know how.
I guess it was because of that company.
You're going to avoid it for now till you get the hang of it.
By the way, I don't know why you have that problem. Especially when you say you carefully reviewed it.
Try another call and see.

After spending over 4hrs to transcribe a 7:17 mins collection house call, I was rated 1 because I had just 1 inverted speaker(customer as rep). A chance was given to redo it but after loading the transcript, I discovered my transcript was deleted. Mehn the thing off me. I tried doing a copy and paste but the thing was so disorganized ( font different and space everywhere) that the allotted time given to redo won't go anywhere. I just feel pained right now.
We've said it here before. As a fresher, avoid "Funding Circle UK" and Collection House Calls.
How does one spend 4hrs on a 7 minute call? Maka why? undecided
How many jobs have you done so far?
How have other calls been?

But people ask unnecessary and annoying question, something that a simple search on slack can solve.

Yes, they are, and they don't know it.
The only thing I do nowadays is read through, clarify a rating and do a 'call checking'.

I just came from that thread where someone called Arlen a racist. The girl vex gan oh. Frankly, if you read that whole conversation, Arlen responded rudely and with thinly veiled insults. So, I can understand the annoyance of the lady. However, she should have just ignored instead of going back and forth with those scc guys. Last last, everybody go dey alright.
Arlen is fond of that. After saying what she wants to say, she'll take style and insult you codedly.
But it is Lia I don't really like. I try to avoid her all the time.

Will Seun also face this problem?
For e.g., now that I've mentioned his name, and it's not supposed to concern him, will he also get a mention?

Very good. No complaints.
Looking back, I should've gone for something higher.
I'm a big fan of Anker products and they had one for 20k. I should've bought that one... as per Anker fan.

But this one is good.

Bluetooth range - check
ANC - check
Comfort in the ears - check

Hello, Funlord.
I have, for the umpteenth time, tried to reach out to a mod to help fix a particular account of mine.

I have an account with the username as "hausa", but anytime I get a mention it comes from a lot of people that have used "hausa" in their conversations, and it makes no sense.
Sometimes, I get as high as 200 mentions in a day that's unrelated to me. How do I fix this?

So, apparently, one of us snapped, and called Arlen a racist.

To think someone talked about racism here, and then another someone went on to use the exact words on Arlen.
Is there a chance that there are some people that have skipped this thread to start working on QA?
I don't want to believe the person came from this thread.

Yay!

Finally earned my first Cents after so many set backs ..from paypal not responding, to my card getting declined and 3straight low ratings of 1, the fourth trial got me a rating of 4 lol, if you go through the thread you would see my complaints plenty lol.Perseverance is the Key here ..thanks to guys who've contributed greatly to this thread and guided newbies all through the process, y'all are legends. From Drawnobet to throvic and a host of others. THUMBS UP.

The only issue now is d FC UK calls and stuff..would appreciate any guidance on how to go about them..required applications and techniques to use because of the difficulty in transcribing them.

Also how to link different emails to my PayPal because I would love to have other QA accounts to have access to more release tokens as I tend to exhaust my tokens often when I pick difficult calls instead of getting low ratings. Thanks Legends.

Y'all are appreciated.
Nice.

But guy, na only 1-1 to 2 minute calls you dey get 1 rating na.

I think say I go see 1 or 2 for 12 minutes, 15 minutes, 9 minutes, that kind of thing. cheesy
