So in January 2014 after giving out my PE1 study packs expecting to pass not only with flying colours but to also win an award in Management Accounting. Instead ICAN struck like a lightening off a volcanic eruption.

.After wasting over 4 years in Lagos State University (part time) due to the epileptic academic calendar, I decided to combine with my full time banking job, a HND academic program and my professional qualification exams (ICAN and ACCA). To friends and family, it was an academic and career suicide mission but little did they know that my zeal to make up for the wasted years outweighs any logical, technical, financial or mental constraints. Having to stay up almost all night for over 4 years finally paid off.

I remember how my GP dropped from 3.78/4.00 to 2.87 when some lecturers felt insulted that a student who doesn't attend lectures was among the top 5%. They never knew I had Indian professors mentoring me on YouTube with Google at my call. I remember having to double my study time to still graduate against all odds with 3.35/4.00.

I remember days I stayed up all night at a camp studying for ICAN paper I had to sit for a day after the camp closes and ACCA papers thereafter while others mates were flexing.

I remember when I had to run away from been a taking part in some exciting events as it was competing with my study time just to cover my exam syllabus. The sacrifices all paid off this day

ACCA and ICAN certified in the same year, in the same diet with two (2) ACCA awards in the bag.

Thanks to my boss who gave me impromptu time off when I needed it most.

To my mentees, the thought of never wanting you to give up against all odds got me going when giving up seems like the easiest option.

The thought of wanting the street kids to look at me and say because of you, we didn't give up got me this far.

The youth including myself utilized our talents, placed our lives on the line, campaigned at hot spots just to achieve the change our parents failed to set in motion when they had the opportunity after several failure (failed republics) at instituting democracy that is of best practice and good governance with federal character not relegated to the background. How many youth made your cabinet? how many youth have you engaged directly as the president to tap from their ideas (you cannot use 20th century ideas and strategies to solves 21st century challenges) on how to run the biggest black nation except for some twitter noisemakers whom someone at Aso rock occasionally call together to come and din as if food is our biggest challenge as youth and perhaps the appointment of the SA on social media matters (new media or whatever you name the portfolio) is the only reward for the youth. The youth deserve more Mr. President, the struggle for Aso Rock was not only won by some strategists from the US of A and campaign funds from God knows where but by the sweat and blood of every youth from the slum of Ajegunle to the depth of Olumo rock to the Ghetto in Kano to the youth at the junction at Molete and the perhaps also the youth at the classy mansion in Abuja that screamed their lungs out saying Sai baba, Sai Buhari.

We are certain that there is no messiah in PDP, but one of thing is certain, Buhari was only lucky we had no better option as at 2015 election . I remember how my mom who will be 70yrs in a few months lectured me on how tribalistic President Buhari was and perhaps still is, how he may disappoint us yet I mandated her to campaign and vote for PMB or forfeit her monthly allowance. I have been a true ambassador of this nation, always stopping at nothing to question the decision of those who seek greener pasture in other continents and as I would rather live in Nigeria all my life but for the first time, I am contemplating relocation, a testament to how bad the economy has degenerated due to no vivid policy direction till date as every move seems to be a step closer to achieving the northern agenda.

It will be a great loss to APC should they field this tribal conscious president come 2019. How we miss the slow yet steady Yar'Adua who was a true Nigerian and not only loyal to his constituency "The hausa speaking section called the North"

If Buhari had his way, all ministers would be from the North, Northern agenda is being strategically played out gradually. I do not regret campaigning and voting for Buhari, I stand by my decision to saving Nigeria off the hand of those who were leading it to the slaughter’s slab, robbing the nation blind at the expense of the masses and the future of the generations unborn.

Transformation of Nigeria is possible; however the unity of Nigeria is constantly being depreciated by the incessant flooding of the northerners at the helms of affair of our MDA, thanks to the man given the mantle to cleanse the nation. Federal character is now only mentioned when the northerners are disadvantaged ẹ.g. Education but in terms of appointment, federal character becomes irrelevant.

To the youth of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, home and abroad, it is obvious the salvation of Nigeria is not in the hands of the penultimate (our grandparents) generation neither is it in the hands of our parents' generation but in our hands. Let's come together, appoint one of ourselves, support him financially, morally and in every way we drummed support for PMB. It is high time we taught the old folks the true definition of democracy and true federalism but first we need to ensure the age restriction in the Constitution is amended to support this vision.

I will make right my wrong come 2019 should Jesus tarries. I am ready to be arrested if the presidency feel offended by this post and decides to forfeit my freedom of expression as expressly stated in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.

Not in all cases, any manufacturer can monitor her retail price if she is really keen on achieving the objective(s) of regularising the retail price.

As posited, both are reacting to the loss of market share caused by the acceptance of Big Cola in trade. It's a war fought on two fronts: Price and quantity.

Also, there is nothing 'really' wrong with Coca Cola copying Pepsi. When a strategy that works is replicated in another organisation, it is termed as 'best practices'.

However, I think Coca Cola should have been smarter and take a detour. Why not fight on Price instead of quantity? The same 20% extra content could have been treated as 20% lesser price per unit at the old price. That would have been a killer move. Coke pet becomes N100 less 20% thats 80 bucks.

Atleast one person agrees that Coca-cola could have attacked using another and perhaps better strategy and not using the same weapon(strategy) used by the Pepsi. Most times, you may not be able to use a weapon better than the inventor.

Well, I think the genesis of the increase in content of both Pepsi and Coca-cola pet bottles is a reaction to the impressive entrance of a new brand "Big cola" into the carbonated soft drink market . The Big-cola brand entered the market with the Unique Selling Points of more quantity,less sugar and no caffeine for the same retail price of N100 per Pet bottle. It has surprisingly gained wide acceptance and patronage from customers in the Lagos metropolis for a new entrance in such a short period of time. Thus, the consequent drop in sales revenue of the known brands Pepsi and Coca-cola. So it is only competitive response that resulted in Pepsi now coming up the "Longer Throat bottle" theme to increase its content by 20% and regain its lost market share and Coca-cola followed suit by adding 10cl-free 20% as they put it- of content for the same price. Well, call it bandwagon effect but it is a marketing strategy that will try to regain its lost sales revenue to competition.
The same can be seen in the telecom industry where each competitor is adopting same marketing strategy with maybe a little modification to make it unique to its brand but targeted at keeping its market share in the keenly competitive atmosphere of "brand eat brand" business. Most popular example is the per second billing and its various prepaid tariffs packages,recharge bounces and promotions of all kinds. It is a known and effective business/marketing strategy to always let the customer see that s/he is getting something free in purchasing a product or service -extra value. This has a way of influencing customer to buy even what the don't need just because there is a freebie or "awoof" to be gotten. It has always worked in push sales; hence you see on most showroom glasses % Sales discounts more less as a permanent decoration.
But in all reality, the customer always pays for the seemingly freebie in the long run. So don't be deceived as a customer...the business must go on and profits must be made. Just play along and be psyched.

You could be right. The big Cola company has also introduced the orange variant to give Fanta a chase, i doubt if they saw that coming. There are several ways to protect and increase market share and also manage entry of new competitors. Coca-cola chose the easy way out at the expense of their goodwill of being a strategic brand by copying with no modifications. When telecos copy one another's template, they modify that laying claim to being copied would be a tall order. Coca-cola could have done better than copying a template wholly.

The business environment of the 21st century is quite dynamic and different from the preceding centuries when there existed little or no competition, a business environment that was mechanically managed with infrequent changes and a few competitive products for consumers to select from.

Customers are not always right, a classic example is Coca-Cola vs Pepsi extra 20% content market war. Coca-Cola deciding to follow the bandwagon could be a strategic suicide, competition is beyond increasing revenue by reducing the market share of other competitors, retaining shareholders’ confidence in the enterprise ability to innovatively compete is as important as dividend declaration.

Pepsi didn't rollout "Customized Pepsi" because Coca-Cola did, Pepsi got thinking and dared to increase its content, Coca-Cola could have done better thinking out another strategy, no brand has the monopoly of ideas (It would be insane to stick with a strategy already heading down south however the competitor has no monopoly of ideas if you have the right team), the brain is a powerful store house of ideas to those who know how to effectively and efficiently call it to duty. Coca-Cola should also value its reputation; goodwill is so expensive that when impaired, it may be gone forever. Copying and pasting competitor's strategy will never make you the first/best but a second best. Coca-Cola also increasing its content may only close up the gap in profit margin “if any” on the short-run but may renege on the long-run. Innovation & strategy influence share prices not just profit, strategy is however directly proportional to the rate of organisational performance.

Why not copy a winning strategy and save management time you may debate, one key we need to always remember is that originality has a value even time can't buy/afford. Coca-Cola may lose out on the long-run for this strategic blunder. Copying a strategy may be ethical but not in all industries, reason strategic innovations are usually protected in the Pharmaceutical industry for a number of years. I support flexibility of organizational structure and strategy 150% but not when cashing in on others' creativity and strategy at little or no cost. Coca-Cola didn't tweak, it COPIED. However, copying is allowed as long as we tweak & redefine.

The input of a management accountant could have been invaluable as pricing appeals more to consumers than quantity which is a validation of the existence of marginal utility (the more you consume, the less satisfied you become). The cost of producing bigger bottles and the extra 20% could have been giving to consumers as discount. A discounted price in form of promo would have been a unique strategy to increase the market share and give competitors a tough pill to swallow. I could only imagine how the demand for Coca-Cola would have headed up north if the retail price had gone down south to 80.00NGN or 90NGN.

The performance of a enterprise is the reflection of brains behind it. Lazy thinkers will eventually fail. Gone were the days when profit was the sole objective of corporate citizens, now it is creation of wealth for shareholders which only profit does not guarantee that. A profitable enterprise breaking and abusing industrial rules and regulations would soon be sent packing. Profit isn't enough. iPhone uses differentiation strategy while Techno Cost leadership, Should Infinix adopt iPhone's strategy, It'll be sorry because what works for your competitor may launch you in liquidation. COMPETITORS ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT.

I got an email from one of the commercial banks stating their readiness to further impoverish the populace and take the last lifeline of the cashless policy which is already struggling to survive the 50NGN stamp duty charges with the imposition of 5% VAT on every card related services include ATM withdrawal.

Almost all the available commercial banks' mobile apps are tied to a debit/credits cards, this may mean that for every airtime purchase, bill payments and funds transfer via the app would be subjected to VAT.

I went all out yesterday tweeting about how the church needs to restore HOPE to the hopeless not by just blasting the excessive speakers with only the GOSPEL OF CHRIST but by being the example of CHRIST-LIKE lifestyle.

The church needs to go beyond preaching "Give and it shall be giving unto you" instead the church should lead by example by giving to those who truly need. The scriptures are not meant for the congregation alone but every element of the church including the Pastorate.

Some missionary Universities in the developed nations are funded by the church and through aids making education of the less privileged an achievable vision but in Africa, even some pastors cannot afford to enrol their wards in the missionary institutions (primary, secondary and tertiary).

Candidly, I am one of those who once concluded and consistently confessed that God will bless me so much that school fees of even the world's best institutions would not be a big deal in training my unborn generation but the fact remains that not everyone would hit the jackpot (I will in Jesus name ) . This set of people are called the common man. The question remains where lies the HOPE of the common man in a nation that is closer to the house of GOD but afar from the act of GOD in our actions and inaction.

Telling a hungry man "GOD bless you" is like telling them "heaven needs you more so go and die"

Elijah through the anointing of GOD empowered the widow who couldn't afford to feed herself and her son turning her to an oil merchant. How many successful entrepreneurs have your mission empowered beyond "come let's pray?" God may not send manna again, be the manna GOD is sending to empower people. When they are empowered your church becomes financially secured through their tithes, offerings, pledge, vow and nameless donations.

We have as much betting companies as much the churches in the Ghetto but the betting companies have more loyal followers, WHY? They are seen to provide a sort of HOPE, a way of escape some call it even though it has succeeded in its strategy of keeping many of the followers in the Ghetto for life. Show me a man that made it big with betting/gambling and I will show you several thousands that have lots their life savings and sanity to it.

The government has failed in its course, the church should not fail.

They were called Christians at Antioch because they saw the traits of CHRIST in them. CHRIST died to rescue us from the clutches of death meaning HE restored HOPE. The Church should follow HIS lead. It is not enough to share tracts, bibles and preach, show TRUE LOVE.

To get into someone's head , you need to first open up the mind. Nothing makes a man sober than the sight of REAL HOPE (food, cloth and shelter - Physiological needs) . The HOPE you provide on the premise of your relationship with the JESUS will convict them and finally lands them on their knees asking for a better life your JESUS... RESTORE HOPE.

We have as much betting companies as much the churches in the Ghetto but the betting companies have more loyal followers, WHY? They are seen to provide a sort of HOPE, a way of escape some call it even though it has succeeded in its strategy of keeping many of the followers in the Ghetto for life. Show me a man that made it big with betting/gambling and I will show you several thousands that have lots their life savings and sanity to it.

The government has failed in its course, the church should not fail.

They were called Christians at Antioch because they saw the traits of CHRIST in them. CHRIST died to rescue us from the clutches of death meaning HE restored HOPE. The Church should follow HIS lead. It is not enough to share tracts, bibles and preach, show TRUE LOVE.

To get into someone's head , you need to first open up the mind. Nothing makes a man sober than the sight of REAL HOPE (food, cloth and shelter - Physiological needs) . The HOPE you provide on the premise of your relationship with the JESUS will convict them and finally lands them on their knees asking for a better life your JESUS... RESTORE HOPE.

How about a true church girl with no deceit.

TRUE! Some are but it's less than 1% & arithmetically 0.01% is too ineligible to be ranked except when it' involves cash.

The church as an individual and system is trying so much to attract the world making it conform on the long run losing its true identity.

Most Christians live a deceitful life six days a week only to lift up our fithy hands on the seventh day (Sunday) branding them as holy hands.
