I agree totally with the op's assertion, I was one of those gullibles of the so called science textbooks.what I believe it is, is that the earth is indeed flat shaped with "circular edges" the circular edges is the near 360 degree antarctic ice curvature. As much as I am a avid reader and researcher of anything history, I will not subscribe to the notion of a word in a "language" being the corrupted form of the same word in different language, especially in history. The mistake we all make when unravelling histories and laying them bare to clear the curiosity of 21st century man, especially in area of word etymology and human language is using english as a basis of stripping the meaning of older and near extinct language, which is wrong.
We forget to remember that there are thousands of language that predates the engish language. The thing is no matter how old or extinct a language might be, they tend to evolve! I can categorically say no language is never extinct, all we have is evolution of languages.
The language you and I speaks today are of course not the original language of the particular tribe we belong to.

So what I am saying in essence is that before any old or recent/new language can be translated, there must be a corresponding/similar language that stems from such language. This means the recent lnguage we speak is newer verion of the generic language peculiar to the tribe we belong to. Why am I arguing this?

This is what I believe, the God we Christian worship is not affected by the "time,space,matter continuum" , all of them has to come together at the same instance. They kind of interwoven for example, if there were a matter with no space, where would you fit matter, if there were matter with no time when will you put it, I hope you get the logic sha,so they have to exist simultaneously. If you check gen 1:1the bible says, "in the beginning (time), god created the heavens(space) and the earth(matter). So genesis 1:1 to me compressed what would have been a lengthy and voluminous tale of creation in one sentence. And also, for the debate of an intelligent design in creation,well I will say for every design has a purpose for which it is built and the designer will always have it at the back of his mind that he is creating and influencing his design to solve a particular problem or better still a need, so I will use the analogy of a computer. The designer of a computer is of course not in the computer he built,and as such is not limited by what goes on in the computer,he instead influence them either by the way of his reasoning,thoughts and even emotions. For you to create a system you cannot be the system, you rather influence the system by your thoughts and actions, so obviously God cannot be affected by space,time,matter because he knows his ways around them and how to manipulate them. To me he's simply above it beyond it and around it. It's very incomprehensible. If our body or lemme say our emotion,thoughts and reasoning are formed accidentally millions of eons ago, how than can you trust your reasoning process to lead you to a good, fair and logical conclusion. The questions that people keep asking about the origin of God is assuming a limited God, if we fit the concept of God in our limited brain, he will not be worth worshipping. Take for instance a student that has prepared and read thoroughly for an exam that is strictly based on what he has been thought in class. Tell me if he's going to be be afraid of sitting for the exam, he can even go to the length challenging the lecturer if he has been marked down. That to me suit the best analogy of man concept on the quest for knowing where God came from. I welcome criticisms, we are all here to learn. Thank you
