ekanDamie:
architect and builders in the building pls I have pictures here showing the front view of our building
it started small and has enlarged to the extent the crack in the pics can now be viewed from inside, it's a see through.
please is there any explanation or solution to this menace?
Man, the problem is from the foundation . It won't even stop there ,u will soon notice your window and door frames are also getting slack , your ceiling or PVC or whatever will start separating from the walls and the cracks begins to appear in another part of the wall .

Solution-
Use fillers like cement mix to fill the spaces (might be temporary too)
It could be as bad as trying to introduce a reinforced free standing concrete column if the spacing gets wider

But a long lasting but time consuming solution is what we Architects or engineers call 'underpining' - in simple terms , dig the ground till under d existing foundation (I.e the initial foundation is suspended ) then fill it with concrete, wait till it sets , then cover up .

lalasticlala:
For over a month now, I have been having hitches browsing with glo network on chrome, Firefox, internet explorer, both on mobile and on computers.

I noticed that I can't access the "religious", "new" features on nairaland with glo, I also can't modify and open some selected topics.

A times after modifying a topic, I can't open that thread again with glo.

But the glo network only works on Ucweb, Opera Mini.

This has forced me to dump glo for MTN that works perfectly in all the browsers. I used to do the N8000 glo subscription per month, but due to this issue, I did the N5k subscription & the last one I did was that of N1k subscription, while going for MTN bulk subscription which has been serving me perfectly.

Nairalanders, please who else is experiencing these problems of browsing with glo on Nairaland? Kindly share your experiences.
I once opened a thread over the issue and even Seun couldn't help . I'm glad you noticed it too

Now here comes the rest character for you to make comparison
Mollie, Muriel, clover ,Mr Jones , Mr Frederick ,Mr pilkinton , The animal farm
Politics › Re: Comparison Of Animal Farm With Nigeria by haywire07(op): 2:55pm On Apr 21, 2017
9.The seven commandments : The commandment that was wisely stated and easily twisted to suit the pigs situation . It was occasionally changed as other animals couldn't remember what was written there though boldly written on a tarred wall.
Our dear constitution . We all have it handy but only a few could interpret it because we do not read it not even all lawyers do

10.Comrade Boxer: The cart-horse with incredible strength, dedication and loyalty plays a major role in the prosperity of Animal Farm. He shows much devotion to the Animal farm but little idea to think about then independently . He naively trusts the pigs to make all his decisions for him. His watchwords are " Napoleon is always right " and "ill work harder " .
I'll say he is very good but just as foolish as Benjamin.
Hmmm, I know many supporters of snowball, the wailers ,will think I'm referring to the "Zombies"

No, we are all hardworking, good spirited , dedicated Comrade boxer but we have been reduced to paupers by Those pigs, who acts only in their selfish interest, looting and justifying it at the court. Of course Boxer could recite only A B C D , each time he tried to add E F G H , he would forget the first four letters. It is a weakness the pigs are using against us but yet we refused to realize it . After every of their atrocities, they will walk free because they have the means of twisting the commandments.
And guess what , when the get to their lounge , they'd say "ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS" .
Politics › Re: Comparison Of Animal Farm With Nigeria by haywire07(op): 2:52pm On Apr 21, 2017
7.Comrade Squealer: The pig who spreads Napoleon's propaganda . He justifies the pigs' monopolization of resources and spreads false statistics pointing to the farm's success . He is used to use rhetoric and language to twist the truth .He would even shed tears of praises at the mention of his leaders name .
The minister of Information , Lai Mohammed, always good at pointing the blame fingers at snowball. That's why each day we keep getting success stories from the government but we never see positive changes

8.Benjamin: The donkey who refuses to feel inspired . He believes firmly that life would remain unpleasant no matter who is in power .
The pessimistic Nigerians and mostly youths who has no interest in the management of their political system. They are the worst illiterate . They pride themselves on their political ignorance and stick out their chest to say 'I hate politics '
Bertolt Brecht said " he doesn't know, the slowpoke, that from his political non-participation comes the prostitute, the abandoned child, the robber and worst of all, corrupt officials, the lackeys of exploitative multinational corporations"
Don't be a Benjamin .
Politics › Re: Comparison Of Animal Farm With Nigeria by haywire07(op):
3.Mr Whymper : The hired solicitor .
The distinguished honorables, Sir .

4. Comrade Snowball : The pig who was in challenge for the control of the Animal Farm. Snowball is intelligent, passionate, eloquent and less subtle but he was chased out .
I present to you former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan(PDP)

5. Comrade Napoleon: The crafty pig who emerges as the leader of the Animal farm who intimidates other animals and consolidate his power.
Welcome "our leader , president Muhammadu Buhari" (APC)

6. The loyal dogs : bred to intimidate other animals . just like the DSS, Nigerian Army , EFCC , Nigerian police e.t.c
Politics › Re: Comparison Of Animal Farm With Nigeria by haywire07(op):
1.OLD MAJOR: The visionary prize middle boar who was highly regarded and everyone will make any sacrifice to hear what he had to say. He was the major inspiration for the Rebellion in Animal farm. He was the dreamer of freedom.
They were the set of people who dreamt of a great Nigeria without the need of the colonial masters . They were the likes of Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, Obafemi Awolowo , Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa, e.t.c even Wild Christian as portrayed by Wole Soyinka in the book Aké.
Nevertheless, just like Old major, they are not alive to witness the present Nigeria

2.MOSES: The tame raven who spread stories of Sugarcandy mountain and the paradise to which animals supposedly go when they die.
These are our religious leaders (pastors and imams) who exploits religion as a tool with which to pacify the oppressed .
Politics › Comparison Of Animal Farm With Nigeria by haywire07(op):
Animal farm by George Orwell was one of the best books of the 20th century not only because of the well articulated story line but also because of the deep political message it carried .
The book was banned in some countries such as Russia and the United States because it told of the communist belief and the incumbent revolution in Russia as at when the book was written.
However , since Animal Farm is a free book in Nigeria , then we are at liberty to make literal comparison of Animal Farm with the current Nigeria based on our perspective - but I start first then leave you intelligent guys to compare and judge the rest characters.

I'm writing this out of frustration .

For weeks running to months, Nairaland is beginning to bore me because I have limited access to viewing topics .
There are topics that I can view ,and at the same time ,there are topics that I can't view .
Each time I click on a thread, the thread won't open and then it tells me "webpage not available " like I don't have a data connection , but if I'm lucky to click another thread, it opens smoothly .
Just like my browser selects threads and some links now . its painful because I can't view interesting threads again . Even with strong network connection ,it won't still respond.

The "NEW" button at the top panel doesn't respond
I can't view all nairalander's Profiles .
I can't view all threads

Moderators please help me .Seun , Lalasticlala , Dominique .

I've cleared browser cache and yet the problem persists . Thanks

Out of love for wailing , u refused to think like an intelligent Nigerian. Can you compare the territorial extension of boko harams in d otueke's rule to 2016 ? If there were no weapons and intelligence like u are asking, will you be able to sleep in your house by now?

As a student of science, I know that all humans have violence traits in them and what triggers that trait into action differs from one person to another.

We just saw a thread here on Nairaland yesterday of a pastor who planted bombs in his church in Edo state. Who taught him that one? Did he learn it from the Bible or did he learn it from his parents or community elders?

The earlier we learn to condemn evil actions and stop giving them religious and ethnic coloration the better for us.
One religion is more afliated to terrorism than the other .
Virtually all terrorist organization on earth are Islam owned. Why? Its simply because the teachings instilled in you people has the very powerful ability to trigger an uncontrollable aggression towards the "unbeilivers"

Really ??

You need to read your bible more. It's loaded with chapters that talks against other faiths.
Neither did it ask us to kill people of other beliefs. It never asked for the neck of the unbelievers to be smitten but only asks you to persuade them to follow the true religion and if they refuse , leave them not kill dem .

But I follow the teachings of the religion and I am not a terrorist, so how about that?

Again, we have billions of Muslims in the world, if the religion teaches terrorism, who can therefore tame more than a billion terrorists in this world?

On the final note, social media gives us chance to express our views point blank, but we shouldn't do it stupidly.
Bros , "many are called but few are chosen" .

U think you are not a terrorist doesn't mean you don't posses the trait

U are not a terrorist doesn't mean a member of your clan isn't one .

On a final note , our forefathers have placed a burden of religious belief on us, but we should learn to apply knowledge and think farther .

I am a Christian but this your comment is uncalled for. You shouldn't tarnish a whole religion because of some people acting against their believes.
bros d religion already tarnished itself . Agree or don't, the religion preaches terror and it breeds terrorism .

Op ..lemme tell u smfin ..

The present world we are in , the devil has used the so-called men of God to give a twist to every scripture that speaks against immorality and our sinful patterns ,all because they do not want to lose "customers" . We members in turn would try as much as possible to be convinced so as to continue in our conventional sinful way of life believing that if something goes wrong on the last day, they would argue with God that, Ur servant misled us ,so pls pardon our ignorance . They will b wrong by then.!!

Op, the youths and females are coming for ur head ..and if not careful , they will twist and mislead u .

@topic: it is on record that Jonathan wittingly signed off on the fuckfest that characterised his administration. His utterances such as that of the pic posted up there and the "yam and goat theorem" encouraged and emboldened both practicing and aspiring crooks to plunder our commonwealth, with guarantees there'd be no repercussions what so ever.

It is a fact, had that renegade government not been thrown out, most of what we know today would have remained in the dark and the fuckfest would have gone on unabated.

Sometimes I just can't help but wonder how we made it through those dark years.

Smh.
With the present economic hardship or not , this Buhari regime is still far better than GEJs .
Anyone can come for my head but deep in our minds we all know that the longterm effect of the present policies will help the next incoming governments .

Even during Gej regime, the masses cried for help out of frustration , but imstead the rich got richer by stealing without query ...
but here we are in a buhari regime where both rich and poor are crying and laughing at the same time . Seems better to me .

The rich cant spend frivoloulsy again because they know the money was stolen and it is now "illegal" to spend unlike before .
