Ngozi123:Somehow, I just feel this should end. Your points are getting myopic. When someone kills the other for being a christian and you say its because he is Igbo, that's undisputably myopic and selfish. Its surprising for someone to conclude that Igbos have a larger population than yorubas in the north . Please which of the states are closer to the north if I may ask? ![]() You said what did they do to deserve the killing? OK, what level of rage would you feel if someone takes away the most important people in your life? (God forbid) I guess you haven't studied what led to the civil war . |
Ngozi123:If u were to talk about 1966, even a secondary school student should know that Igbos threw the first punch, but that's a story for another day because I won't want you to get flopped easily. And when has the killing of Christians turned to killing of Igbos? It will be pathetically bias if you decide to turn a religious war to a tribal war just to justify an invalid point. Do you know how many westerners lost their lives? do u want to compare the number of Igbos in the north to the number of Yorubas?. Check your stats well and you will know that a larger percentage of Igbos would never return to the north since the civil war. |
Ngozi123:Since you are against a United Nigeria, may I know the reason why you believe the Igbos should seceede? Many Igbos have died just for being Igbos, especially in the North. Please I need a proof of the emboldened culled from a credible source or I'll only have to believe that you want me to believe anything even if its false so I can agree with your point of view.PS: I made lots of typographical errors in my last comment, my phone was freezing and I had just 1% battery to type and post, but I hope my point was well related. |
Ngozi123:All you said here is simply based on faith and anxiety. We have decided to survive on oil because we chose to. Oil has been discovered in nigeria since the 50's but we survived without oil until 1971. If at biafra secedes, we would still survive. I hope you considered feeding when you talked about this ? I wanted to you explain to me the benefits of staying in Nigeria, not the potential disadvantages of seceding. I asked this as many people's reasons for wanting a united Nigeria is because of 'the fear of the unknown'.Are u only trying to be sacarstic here? Is leadership not a benefit? Hav u thought about the effect of power tussle? I just gave you an example of Sudan and u decidd to overlook it . I hope you know that right now Biafra isnt having the backings of leaders and kings?. Only Kanu and youth were not born are agitating. . We've had 50+ years to "build ourselves a more powerful Rome", as you put it, what exactly is different now? If anything the country is becoming more violent, less tolerant and even more volatile. What evidence is there to suggest that things are more likely to improve than not in the near future? Your comparison with New York makes very little sense to me. For starters, the US is an immigrant nation and New York, even more so. Nigeria is country where most people still have a spiritual connection to their land. New York is a city and not a 'nation', unlike the Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa nations. A better comparison would be the people of Lagos choosing to secede on their own but even that's a bit of a stretch. If it took us 50years collectively to come only this far, don't you think it will take a quarter region his entire life to fail? What has newyork being a larger state than Nigeria got to do with immigration? Spiritual connection? Who still talks dis sh*t must take into account where Ojukwu said this i.e. in the public or private domain. He may have wanted to quell some of the anger that was brimming in some of our youths in order to stop them from doing something they may regret. The phrase "otherwise the dead would have been to no avail" suggests that he's warning them to not do something that would see them killed needlessly. If you want independence then you be clever and patient about it.Did he call you into closet to debunk the statement or you had to formulate something that will quench your thirst even if it means going against the master's wish. PS: how has Nigeria been unfair to Biafrans, havre you heard of any report where someone had been laid of work or beaten it killed because he is Igbo? Kanu is power thirsty , he is fighting to be a president . |

28% budget increase dan 2016 budet $42.5 per barrel benchmark I think this time ,our budget is not planned on faith but with realistic figures (realistic budget). unlike when Gej and Okonjo will place benchmark at $58 per barrel and later sell at $30 (budget based on faith) Let's call a spade a spade Sai baba till 2019 , but after that .....I can't say o |

Ngozi123:I'm an advocate of "one Nigeria" even in the face of what many see as "tribalistic injustice" .But in the real sense ,its purely a blessing in disguise to every Nigerian tribe. Have we ever thought about the cost of "survival" of each seceeding faction? The truth is the Nigeria that exists today continues to stand only by the virtue of the contribution from each geopolitical zone - in terms of food, oil, leadership, market and investment. Since we all know that no zone has all these features at a time, hence, the need to continue to depend on each other as one nation for the main purpose of growth and development. Take the Old Sudan for example, south Sudan had all the oil to stand on their own , but barely a year after seceeding the tussle for leadership began. Lives were wasted. This is no era of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt for over 430years, this is a century where all the rich cabbals wants to be in the position of power to acquire more power. What are the benefits of staying in Nigeria that cannot be garnered elsewhere? This is our home!! Why don't we use our collective resources to build ourselves a more powerful Rome instead of building independent huts that won't stand the test of time? NewYork city is or almost as big as the entire Nigeria but they have stood together with 49 states to make the World power. That is an example of one Nation . What is the size of Nigeria, how much power do we have collectively even in Africa alone that we have started thinking of sharing it? PS: Ojukwu said 'I Ied proudly the first, I don’t think a second one is necessary, otherwise the dead would have been to no avail, it would all have been in vain,” He is telling us that his point had been made , we need no one to remind us again . |

Nairaland has created more panic on the MMM issue than any other source . It is very unfair and immature , Besides, MMM hasn't crashed , but why are the mods quick to push anything related to "Mmm crash" to FP . why create unnecessary panic among averagely 60% of nairalanders who are active participants of MMM . I pray u will be quick to push MMM topics to FP when it comes back by January Please be wise |
The lawyer will be like "what kind of aggressive animal am I defending naw" . If Seun allows this topic to hit FP, I'll deactivate my account E sure for me ni ![]() |
lielbree:Of course |
Is it ur money?
|
TINALETC3:Remove ur hand lemme see urs too
|
Who AXE u all dis things? |
lielbree:I'll make sure u are banned . it seems u hav no father at home shay? |
Mod Lawyer , u wont push educative threads to FP o , but if its a church collapsing, u will be quick to push it . At least give people a chance to contribute, argue or jucstapose why such occurrence took place and how to avoid it |
Be like Nairaland had been hacked that's why useless topics kept hitting front page anyhow Can't even upload pictures again too |
manuell1021:Well said , but the panic was just too much that it could lead to untimely ending of the Mmm scheme . The media including Nairaland are not helping matters . I know Seun has always wished for the downfall of the scheme that's why he kept pushing the Mmm scare news to front page |
For wat? . I still see no fraud in what they did . It should only be called fraud only if after the stipulated 35months, the 12% is not given . In other news, long live MMM |
