Businesstools:Very true. Even with that, the lady should be strong enough for battles that may ensue. |
My sister's friend assisted " financially " to complete her husbands house in Ajah Lagos. At any arguement, he says to his wife "This is my house" She is now building a house for herself and children.
That is even a mild case. While I was in Uni, my room mate's dad died and at the funeral they were presented with the man's 2nd wife and her sons while my friend's mum, has just 2 girls. My friend, her sister and mother were treated like strangers at the funeral while the woman with the sons became the chief mourner. The first son inherited the property and was given the choice of 'dashing' things to the girls. My friend's mum who happened to be a white lady parked her daughters and relocated within a week. Another case happened in my place of worship; a sister lost her husband and her husband's 'people' came to their house and carted away all the valuables claiming they want to use them for the funeral and for training the children in school. She and her little kids (boys and girl) got nothing. Abeg o, in this partnership called marriage one has to be really careful with Joint Ventures to avoid crying at the end. |
I won't do it, except the house is in my name or in the name of the children. The world is a very wicked place. Even if you speak to the man and he says no problem, who knows how things will turn tomorrow? In my part of the country, Delta women don't inherit properties from their fathers. |
We often hear of men killing their wives, it is fresh to hear when the tables turn. |
