Madam Ugwuanyi and many of them in the SE were quite stupid and arrogant. It was very obvious that a 'dangerous' movement was building up around Obi in the South East, so I can't understand why they didn't secretly secure the Labour Party Senate/HOR tickets for themselves and their stooges as an insurance at least. Such laxity can only be attributed to arrogance and complacency.

Many of them would suffer it. There would be an almost clean sweep of the Senate and HOR across the entire South East and even parts of South South. Abuja's own is already certain.

Thank God for exposing this Reno of an idiot for who he really is. I only imagine if he had joined the Obidient movement from the onset and stayed the course like Aisha Yesufu. There's no point overhyping the Osibanjo that was part and parcel of the rot of the last 8 years. Besides, like Tinubu, an Osibanjo candidacy wouldn't assuage the vexed question of whether it is the turn of another Yoruba person to be president... After 8 years of Obasanjo and another 8 years of Yoruba Vice Presidency. Equity and justice would only demand that if power is returning to the South, it MUST return to the South East. That sentiment is there, and it is a very valid sentiment to sensible and fair minded people.

So, much as Osibanjo is a relatively decent and a much more marketable candidate than this ugly BAT, his candidacy wouldn't be all roses.

If you're a militant and uncompromising Yoruba tribalist, then vote for Sowore or Kola Abiola or the other fellow in the SDP. If you're a 'tribalistically realistic nationalist', then avoid the omo ibo candidate and vote for Atiku. Heck, if you're an Islamic fanatic, also vote Atiku. He is at least a comparatively better and more dedicated Muslim than BAT.

I'm saying all this because as much as every sensible, rational, and conscientious human being in Nigeria knows that Peter Obi is the best option, the blatant truth remains that ANY living thing on the ballot on any of the other 17 political parties is better than BAT. Tinubu doesn't need even 50% votes in the core north to win this election. Core north has thirteen states. Seven in the northwest and six in the northeast. If he can win six or seven states there plus winning Kogi, Kwara, Niger and Nasarawa in the north central, that's fine.

In the south, he's clearing the western region. In the south south, we don't play politics of hatred. Obi isn't clearing the south south. Obi, Atiku and Tinubu are sharing the votes here while Obi would clear the east.

With this, does Tinubu still need 80% in the core north?

Can you 'sensibly and logically' lecture us on how/why he would win "six or seven" states in the NW, and win Niger and Nasarawa? Can you also tell me where in the South South your BAT would share in? And for purposes of common sense and sensibility, please don't mention some so-called APC governors or "structure'. Lecture us on why exactly the man Tinubu as a personality and as a candidate on his own merit would win 6 or 7 states in the NW, win Niger and Nasarawa, and share in the spoils of the South South....while simultaneously clearing his own home base of the SW.

All these poll are not painting the real picture. Using percentage would give a false reality.

Most of these poll are not considering voters turnout. The voter turnout ( people that would vote on election day ) for this election is projected to be 45% of the total voters population ( people that have voters card ).

Voters turnout in southeast is projected to be 25-30% of the total eligible voters population of ~10 millions ( check previous voters turnout for understanding)

The total votes from SE will not exceed 3 millions votes.

SW and NC. PO will actually get more combined voted in these two region than his base of SE. PO highest votes would come from SS though he won't win the region.

The battle ground is the core north.

I'm from Kwara and I can tell you that PO will not get 20,000 votes in kwara.

The two biggest voting bloc in Kwara; Kwara central would be split between PDP ( 51% ) and APC ( 49.9% ) ; Kwara South ( APC 70% and PDP 29.9% ) ; Kwara north voting pattern is mostly dependent on the strongest party in Pategi, which is a strong PDP strong hold after Ilorin, PDP will win Kwara north with same margin as Kwara central.

Overall in kwara : APC 700,000 , PDP 500,000 with a total voters turnout of 1.2million

You have good sources. But the problem is bigger than you reported. He gave the northern governors far more than $1m each to win their support for the primaries, with IOU of FAR FAR FAR more in addition for the main election and afterwards.

I've mentioned it earlier that this bastard set aside about $3b to prosecute this presidential misadventure. To be fair to him, he is a long term planner. He didn't do all this overnight. The scale of the budget and the pervasiveness of his corruptive influence explains the irrational, arrogant confidence of the man himself and his surrogates/agents/minions/supporters. It is NOT about the will of the ordinary voters and they know it but they don't care. They want to rub it in our faces that they have the resources and capabilities to bully us and achieve their aim whether we like it or not.

It is imperative and is the only option.

The confidence of the bastard BAT and his hirelings is so disgusting, especially when we all know that he has no intending voters anywhere outside the South West. It's as if they so much believe in their sinister plan to bully and buy their way to the presidency whether we like it or not. That can't happen. And they will all die first before that happens.

This election has exposed this Naptu and many other seemingly enlightened people from that region for the tribalistic irritants that they truly are.

Things would never be the same. I now know better than assume that many of the SW folks I know are rational, logical fair-minded comrades. Apparently, their assumed 'sophistication' is tempered by closeted ethnocentrism, parochialism, and deep-seated jaundice.

The most painful thing is that they know that their useless BAT of a candidate is bad market, but they are blinded by tribal sentiments to still push for him. They prefer a Yoruba devil to be there than an Igbo Saint. To say that I'm shocked at the turn of events this period would be a disappointment.

Trust these people at your own risk.. In business, social dealings, or whatever. There's no love anywhere in sight.
