Sanwo Olu is a cool dude and is generally relatable, diligent, willing to learn, and down to earth. I say this as someone who has had cause to 'experience' him on more than a few occasions. Left to me it would be great to have him do another term.

But the problem is one that is bigger than Sanwo himself. I would be extremely happy to see the liberation of Lagos from thiefnumbu, to whom Sanwo is just a fawning puppet and conduit pipe.

To be honest, I don't have anything against this Sanwo Olu guy and I think he is okay as an individual. The problem is the rot he represents. The terrible rot that his re-election would perpetuate and reinforce. Being an appendage or fawning servant of a terribly evil character like BAT. It is ifficult to overlook that.

Whichever way, the people's will must prevail. Even without rigging and intimidation by APC thugs, he stands a modest chance - on the strength of his own persona. But let the will of the masses prevail.

Some of you have akamu in your empty brains. Very stupid set of human beings. We're talking about an all-round rigged election where votes were dubiously manipulated/allocated and yet you continue spewing rubbish about 25%.

If you had some common sense, wouldn't you suspect that even in states where Obi actually met the 25 percent requirement, his votes were criminally reduced to deny him that? Isn't that part of what he will challenge in court?

Usually when anyone wins an election, their rhetoric is conciliatory and appeasing. You will hear, oh, I'm reaching out to my competitors to work with me for a better Nigeria. Oh, there's no loser , it is all about Nigeria. Oh the election is over, now is the time to come together to rebuild Nigeria in unity.... Bla bla.

But instead, Tinubu and his band of inglorious bastards would continue stirring tempers and attacking and accusing the opposition even after rigging the elections and being declared winner. This tells us everything we need to know about the kind of animalistic cowboys we're dealing with here.

It's difficult to love Nigeria as currently configured. In fact, I hate this country. A country where all the sensitive institutions are headed and peopled by useless, incompetent abokkis. From INEC to the Army, to the Police to NNPC, to FIRS, to the NCS and so forth. It is disgusting.

I mean, you had several months to test your BVAS and Irev systems. And I wonder what the foolish idiots at INEC mean by off-season and on-season. You had a very long time to simulate traffic COMMENSURATE to the total number of accredited voters (which is the worst case scenario) to detect any bugs or overload scenarios. You didn't. You had to leave it to the very moment where the actual event takes place.

The country needs to burn down and renew itself from its ashes. That's the only foreseeable solution to this madness.

Humility is important in politics. If El-Rufai gives Fashola VP position in 2031, he'll grab it with both hands, even though Fashola pass El-Rufai normally. But Obi is claiming he can't be VP to the Waziri. That he will win without structure. Now he came third in 4 SW states. Kano and Katsina, he is no where to be found. In SS and NC, they'll suppress his votes.

So how does he expect to be President? In 2027, will he defeat Tinubu? In 2031, even a Northern stone will defeat him handily.

The Waziri has accepted his fate. Allah wills.

You slyly avoided the question of whether in 2022, Waziri OFFERED Obi the position again in the first place. You don't expect someone like Obi to awkwardly hang around in the PDP or desperately lobby Waziri to repeat the 2019 ticket. You don't know the man.

If Waziri had made it abundantly clear early on that he intended to retain the 2019 ticket, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Obi is too savvy a politician; too principled and confident, and one who knows his worth, to shamelessly hang around and allow himself to be toyed with whilst hoping that he will be picked as running mate. Waziri of all people should know that, but that arrogance and mental haze wouldn't let him see the big picture.

Other than funding the bribery of delegates at the PDP presidential primaries, what else is there to fund... If he got an impactful running mate that would help him naturally retain the crucial SE/SS bloc votes, which Peter Obi could have done for him for free, wouldn't we be telling a different story today? In fact, in monetary terms, how much would Atiku be willing or able to pay for that all important two-Zone Southern bloc votes?

It's now very apparent that even the bloc votes the PDP got in 2019 from the "traditional" SE/SS was due to the Obi factor.
