AFTER A FEW DRINKS, THEY END UP AT THE LOCAL BROTHEL THE MADAM TAKES ONE LOOK AT THE TWO OLD GEEZERS AND WHISPERS TO HER MANAGER, "GO UP TO THE FIRST TWO BEDROOMS AND PUT AN INFLATED DOLL IN EACH BED. THESE TWO ARE SO OLD AND DRUNK, I'M NOT WASTING TWO OF MY GIRLS ON THEM. THEY WON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.' THE MANAGER DOES AS HE IS TOLD AND THE TWO OLD MEN GO UPSTAIRS AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR BUSINESS. AS THEY ARE WALKING HOME THE FIRST MAN SAYS, 'YOU KNOW, I THINK MY GIRL WAS DEAD!' 'DEAD?' SAYS HIS FRIEND, 'WHY DO YOU SAY THAT?' 'WELL, SHE NEVER MOVED OR MADE A SOUND ALL THE TIME I WAS LOVING HER.' HIS FRIEND SAYS, 'COULD BE WORSE I THINK MINE WAS A WITCH.' 'A WITCH ??. . WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU SAY THAT?' 'WELL, I WAS MAKING LOVE TO HER, KISSING HER ON THE NECK, AND I GAVE HER A LITTLE BITE, THEN SHE FARTED AND FLEW OUT THE WINDOW..... TOOK MY TEETH WITH HER! '

Dude, no offence but i don't think your post helped the author of this thread in anyway. It is a blatant false notion. FORTRAN is still thought for educational purpose and strangely still commonly used for High Performance Computation (HPC).

The Fortran 9x standard added dynamic memory, significant structured programming concepts, and did away with the column 7 requirement. Major hardware vendors are still investing in producing viable Fortran compilers - why ?. Where do get your facts or notions form ?

It's true that there has been some modification and enhancement in FORTRAN and some fixed rule has been relaxed. BUT WHO IN THIS WORLD WOULD INVEST IN PRODUCING FORTRAN COMPILERS WHEN WE HAVE OTHER ADVANCE OOPL!
Guy park well! U knw what y don't you go to an int'l forum and post this and receive the bashing of your lyf! just becos it is been taught in Nigerian skuls dosen't make it relevant. Other countries have moved on and most programmers hv lost interest in it except scientist. I would suggest JAVA becos it can do all FORTRAN CAN DO!

holy shit! u mean u r still bin taught FORTRAN. 4get d prefixes n suffixes added to it i.e OO FORTRAN OR FORTRAN 2003 it is archaic n shud be scrapped 4rm skuls.
d last i programmed wif it was coding to make GP calc. very tedious!
