Discount on the Kindle Blueprint ends today. |
ambitiouschap:Things you need to consider.. 1. Did you publish under a profitable keyword? 2. Is it too competitive (I.e. you dont show up on page 1/2 for the keyword)? 3. is your book cover attractive? 4. Do you have a compelling book description? 5. Do you have any reviews on the book (social proof)? Etc. Once you have all this box ticked, sales naturally will come. You can then run ads to magnify it |

DonX001:I can't say for sure. If you follow the right strategies and outsource what needs to be outsourced, then you may be able to reach that level in 3 years or less. Every body's situation is different. But, by and large, how successful you are will depend on your level of motivation, using the right information and ability to execute strategies well. You don't need to spend hours on this business. I spend only a few minutes/hours a day to check on my ads etc. I spend more time when I'm about to launch books as I have to proofread stuff to make sure they're quality |
Mcslize:Not sure. You can contact KDP support to ask why. Most times, they email you letting you know that the ad was disqualified for so so so and so reason. Eventually, you'll get the email |
Mcslize:When you set fire to something that is combustible (a collection of dry wood) with a bit of fuel poured on it, it'll go up in flames. But when you set fire to something that isnt combustible (wet wood that cant burn), nothing happens. Likewise with ads if your books landing page on Amazon has been set up to convert well (has good reviews, has a well converting book description, an attractive book cover etc.) Then running ads to it is like setting dry wood with fuel on fire. You'll get a ton of sales. But if your book has neither of these, your ads wont convert well and you'll waste a lot of money. That being said, you can start from a bid of 0.1 and go up from there. If you're not getting good enough impressions/clicks then you raise it gradually till you begin to get clicks. |
myjourneysofar:Are you publishing them in profitable keywords with few competition? When it comes to publishing, its quality over quantity |
Adebaba1:Unfortunately, once you're banned it's very difficult to be allowed back on the KDP platform. Some people email/call KDP support and plead with them and they get lucky but, in most cases, it's over. If you create another account, it's most likely they'll link it (how, I'm not sure) and ban that account too. |
myjourneysofar:Thanks bro |
ambitiouschap:The cover is a bit uninspiring...not eye catching. I'd advice you search the main keyword of your book, look at the best sellers that show up on page 1 and create a cover similar to the best 2 or 3 books on page 1 |
Historical Earnings My historical earnings from KDP (excluding audiobook and hardcover royalties) have surpassed $100,000 (N36 million) - with a bulk of that earning coming in 2019. Adding audiobook royalties and Hardcover royalties would take my historical earnings to over $160,000 ($57.6 million) in 3 years publishing. Rome wasn't built in a day. With hard work, consistency and persistence you too will get to this level 3 years from today (if not sooner) Imagine earning N20 million a year from publishing and you don't even have to leave your house or work a job...that's the reward - FREEDOM

Testimonial Another one of my mentees who's beginning to crush it with Kindle Publishing. Success belongs to those who have the courage and conviction to take action. For the first time ever, he's sold 4 paperbacks in a day! ...and he has only 2 books in his portfolio

Business Cycles In order to succeed in business, you need to make a mindset shift. As an employee, I was accustomed to getting that steady pay check at the end of the month. However, I had to sacrifice a lot of things too. 1. I earned pretty much the same thing regardless of how hard I worked 2. I had to beg or prove that I deserved a raise and, when it came, it was a paltry 2-5% raise 3. I had to take permission to go on holiday Starting my own business and becoming my own boss has in some ways liberated me. Granted, I became acutely aware of the fact that my destiny was now in my hands and I wouldn't eat If I didn't work hard for it. That being said, I was excited by the prospect of there being no limit on how much I could earn. The sky was the limit I also learned that business was cyclical. One month you could earn $1000 and the next it would be a paltry $200 etc. From reading books and networking with other entrepreneurs, I realised I needed to control how cyclical my earnings were. I needed to add some sort of stability. How did I achieve this? With regards to publishing, I made sure to 1. Diversify my publishing portfolio (put my books in kindle, paperback, audiobook and, recently, hardcover) 2. Diversify the platforms I leverage to publish my books (be on Amazon, Ingramspark, ACX etc) 3. Diversify the niches I publish in (one niche might be hot during Q4 season but not so hot in January etc.) 4. Diversify my earnings outside of publishing (after I crossed the $10,000 a month mark I realised I had too much surplus income than I needed to reinvest back in my business and banks weren't paying that much interest on the money sitting there so I started investing in Nigerian Treasury bills and Bonds. These investments now bring me tax free income every month) Eventually, I will move into real estate You get the idea. You can use the power of diversification to control how cyclical/seasonal your earnings are. Doing this will also ensure you're not overly reliant on one income source. As an entrepreneur you can't afford to be too exposed to one income source |

7. Go to the downloads folder and open the csv file 8. Expand the columns and add filter to the headers 9. To ensure none of the keywords are repeated, highlight each of the columns, go to Data > Remove Duplicates 10. Once you've confirmed all the keywords are unique, copy them into another spreadsheet, go back to Publisher rocket and search another keyword, repeat all the steps again 11. Once you have enough keywords to go with (say 300 keywords), then go to Amazon Ads account and create your manual sponsored ad campaign using the keywords you've generated

A Slow October After 6 consecutive months of high octane progress in terms of sales, the month of October has been uncharacteristically slow. I suspect a number of factors are at play, the most important of which is the fact that Amazon conducted a widespread review sweep. This happens occasionally when Amazon deletes a large number of review from their products to help them combat biased reviews. Unfortunately, in the process, a number of unbiased reviews are also affected. With little or no social proof available to customers when making buying decisions, it's no surprise the impact this would have on overall sales. That being said, if you have a reliable email list of happy customers, this will be the time to hit them up and ask those who are yet to leave a review to spare a couple minutes of their time to assist you. From current estimations, it appears October might end up at roughly $10,000. My yearly target for 2019 was $150,000 and I'm currently at $109,000. It's going to be close but all bets are not off..I still believe I can round up the remaining $41,000 before the end of Dec 2019. How's your publishing going? Hope you are all making solid progress. Keep up the work. Update on Mentorship Program For those looking to get on my mentorship program, I'm still not able to take on more students as the demand on my time from existing mentees is much. Will update here when more room is available. If you're the type that can execute a strategy on your own without video guidance from me, then the Kindle blueprint and the keyword research video is for you. I discuss my key publishing strategies in the book and using it will help you maximise return on your investment. The keyword research video is there to consolidate some of the stuff discussed in the book with regards to how to find profitable and evergreen keywords to publish in. As always, owners of the blueprint get a discount on other resources and they can contact me via whatsapp to clarify anything that isn't clear For enquiries, feel free to hit me up at obinnaezeanaka@yahoo.com Mentee Progress One of my mentee (based in Lagos) just recorded a milestone - grossing over $120 in royalties with only 2 books..the second book was published only few days ago. Using the strategies I discussed with him, he's set to have atleast 6 books by December 2019 having spent less than $350. All $120+ was made organically! I've recently helped him set up ads for his book and I'm excited to see the impact this will have on his books. He may not want his name mentioned but if you're reading this, congrats once again bro.

Tela101:Non-fiction books |
generationz:If anybody gives you fake tax ids to use..use at your own risk. People have had their accounts terminated for that when Amazon found out. |
generationz:People seem to be getting this confused so I'll try and clear this up. When you publish on Amazon KDP you have a choice to earn 70% royalty or 35% royalty. How much royalty you earn with kindle books depend on the price of your book. If its between $2.99 and $9.99 then you earn 70%. Anything outside of that range and you earn 35%. Now let's assume that you price your book to earn 70% royalty and the cumulative sum you earn in a month is $1000 (70% of total sales) If you publish from a country that doesn't have tax treaty with the USA, then Amazon will take out 30% for withholding tax So you will have $700 paid into your Payoneer account You get $700. |
generationz:Nigerians (publishing from Nigeria) can only pay 30% tax maximum because Nigeria doesn't have a tax treaty with the USA. And the people that publish in countries that have a tax treaty with the US still pay tax...maybe not as much as 30% Nobody escapes tax...it's just the cost of doing business |
Lolo24:It's a software people install on their computer...if you know someone who can allow you to use theirs for a charge I guess you can do that |
generationz:There's no clear advantage anyone in Nigeria can't overcome.. apart from the 24/7 light. I live in both Nigeria and the UK. Publishing is an online business...as long as you have access to internet you can do your thing. Worst case scenario, I spend more on data and generator fuel when I'm in Nigeria |
