Unless you want your account to be banned shortly after u start it, there's no bypassing tax on Amazon. It has to be paid somewhere..its just a question of which jurisdiction and how much tax they expect you to pay. But tax will be paid nonetheless

Amazon opportunity is amazing. I've been doing this business for 5 years now and still in it..why cut corners and have a short-lived/temporary thing when you can do things the right way and have a long term business?

Imagine investing thousands of dollars, endless time, blood and sweat..all to wake up one day and realise your account has been shut down. What good will that do?

I personally don't know of anyone who has done this. Its probably possible but given how sensitive Amazon is with copyright and stuff, its probably best to email their support and ask them if this is allowed (to avoid accounts getting banned)

If they give the go ahead then its a simple case of working out the logistics of sharing the revenue in a transparent way so no one feels cheated.

My books are not violating anything. But I still can't get them listed beyond US and UK. But they were listed in every market during and after publishing. I guess Amazon made some changes I'm yet to understand.
I can't even sell on US and Canada, I can only choose one. Same thing with UK and other European countries.

I'm working on a new book. I'm very convinced it will sell well only if I lunch and market it the right way. I would like some tips from you concerning marketing and publicizing a new book.

With regards to marketing, publishing a new book and giving it exposure in order to maximize sales, theres nothing new under the sun..the strategies I use are already detailed in the kindle blueprint.

Abandoned my kdp dashboard for about 3months. I got back to work today and just discovered a few things have changed.
My books on expanded distribution have been delisted from other markets except the US and UK markets.

It happens sometimes....if your books aren't violating any of the terms required to be enlisted for expanded distribution then, simply re-enrol them.

Sales are not as high as during Q4..they're just normal for whats obtainable during this time of the year.

You don't price your audiobook. Audible does that depending on the length of the book. An hour long audiobook will roughly be priced at $7

It varies...sometimes as much as 60% is organic..sometimes it flips.

It varies but generally speaking about 60% of my sales come from ads.

You can't scale to a six figure income and maintain it without running ads consistently

I have over 100 books.

Decide what niche you want to be in

Once you've decided, begin keyword research to figure out profitable keywords in that niche

Once you have that, create a book.

Second best time to start is now.

Yes there's more competition. However, if you know what you're doing you'll create books that make you money.

Passive income and scarce dollars at that.

Thanks..but its also expensive. You just have to carefully manage your cash flow given that KDP pays every 60 days whereas Amazon ads don't wait for 60 days to collect their money.

By not bidding more than you can afford to.

When a keyword is profitable and has lots of competition you can expect the average cost per click to be relatively high..

However, you can start low eg 0.15, 0.20 and see what sort of impressions/clicks you're getting. Then adjust things accordingly

Lessons Learned

1. Always thinker with your strategy
2. Quality over quantity when it comes to the books you publish
3. Be strategic with your ad campaigns or you'll lose your shirt
4. You pay to play..if you want to win big you need to incorporate Amazon ads and a big enough budget

It's been a while I posted on here.

Hope everyone is doing great with their business.

I've predominantly been focused on scaling up the KDP side of my business since it was beginning to lag the audiobook side of it.

It's been a challenge...felt like I've been held under the $10,000 royalty level from ebooks and paperback sales for the longest time.

Amazon don't ship to Nigeria

If you know someone abroad u can have the book shipped to their address and hv them DHL the book down to Nigeria for you.

It'll be fairly expensive tho.

Also if you know someone that stays abroad and is planning to travel to Nigeria u could also ship the book to their address and ask them to bring it with them.

Unfortunately, there's no cheap alternative
